I looked at the official wiki for CM7 on Atrix and they said to reflash the radio.img and gps functionality would return. I did this but nothing has changed. Anything else I can do? Any help would be appreciated
Searching doesn't hurt, you know

I just got a shiny brand new Continuum when the radio fried out on my old one, and I'm wanting to do pre-activation and post-activation dumps to try to figure out why the radio disables itself on a stock rom flash (i.e. if you brick.)
Phone info:
SCH-I400
SKU SCHi400zkv
FCCid: A3LSCHi400
I'm currently in IRC freenode #Samsung-Continuum if anyone is willing to help.
There is actually a guide posted in Android Development by Imnuts... It tells you exactly how to dump everything (and make a odin image, which would be nice to share... Ours right now ain't too good )
However, if your talking about dumping the radio, no can do.. We need a radio leak, which Adrynalyne was working on getting a while ago... He lost his source though, so no luck since....

Can i please get a link to the guide because i tried looking for it and using the search bar for it but no luck. thank you
I've had this problem on other android devices before.
Problem
My download and upload speeds are maxxed at the ones that I posted in the title.
What I've tried
Resetting the Sim Card
Flashing three different radio images (Tmobiles updated radio, The leaked gingerbread radio, and *reserved for edit* ), used the PC10IMG.zip files and flashed them via fastboot
Tried flashing different roms and then flashing the three radios I mentioned before (The latest MIUI rom, Cyanogen 7.02/.03, and the Sense Rom)
Looked in "android info", noticed radio was listed as unkown under details
Double checked that I have the right network provider and I'm not using a proxxy in network settings
Fixed my permissions
What I know ISNT a problem
I'm not being throttled
It's not a proximity connection, my family has mytouch4gs and they get a better connection than me
Basically, I'm S-o-L and S-o-Ideas. Help? Please?

I've also tried that with the superwipe flashable zip. Sorry, forgot about that as a potential solution, I'm editing the original. Am I doing it in the wrong order? I flashed that, then the radio, then the rom over it.
Okay update. In another state and I have the same results. Any help?

I’m pretty sure your supposed to flash the radio before you do the efs wipe but I could be wrong. I’ve never done it before. It just sounds like it makes more sense.
Okay I'll try that when I get to a computer. More suggestions are still welcome!

Okay, I've tried your method also, but it doesn't solve the problem.
Did you try someone elses simcard?
Actually I was being throttled. Thanks for the help.

Anyway, I have a Desire Z (Bell, unlocked). I have a AT&T microSIM, put into adapter, put it into my phone.
It says H+ but I'm getting really slow Edge-like speeds.. Can anyone help me please?
Location: New Jersey. Once again, thanks!
I might be getting throttled.. How do I check?

You can call customer support and ask. How much data have you used? That's probably what's happening.
Great thread.. helped me with my issues!
Hi all. Im from the uk and have got the ATRIX on orange. I've rooted it using gingrebreak and all is good. I was just looking through rom manager and found that clockwork now has support for it. I want to install it but just need to know if it will work on my uk ATRIX, and if there's anything else I need to do like unlocking the bootloader? I've rooted and installed custom roms on my htc desire, which now runs f1 gingerbread and works great, so im not a complete noob lol. Just need a few pointers. Any help would be greeeeat. Cheers

You'll need to have an unlocked bootloader to install this CWM build.
Ahh I see lol. Do u know if the uk orange bootloader can be unlocked yet? Thanks for replying

Yes it can! You'll have to start in the Atrix Development section, and go to the sticky that starts with [PUDDING]. That's where you'll find your unlock. There are a couple of guides floating around, so make sure you follow those completely!
I shall take a look and ill keep u posted. Thanks a lot

Did this yesterday on my Telstra Atrix, bricked my phone, had to reinstall OLYEM_U4_1.4.2 and everything else from scratch, got boot error after install of CWM
Bricked? Maybe ill look some more before I commit to it. Might just wait a little longer for update then who knows. Hope ur ATRIX is well again

He didn't hard brick, which is unrecoverable. He simply soft-bricked. He might not have unlocked his bootloader properly, or messed with something.
A hard brick can only happen if you flash an OTA update with an updated bootloader, and try to flash an older SBF file. That, in turn, would require use of NVFlash to unbrick, but NVFlash requires you to have your SBK, which seems impossible to get.
He soft bricked. That means that he just can't boot into the OS, and is easily fixed by restoring via Nandroid, or using an SBF file with RSDLite.
I have an international phone (Bell) and you need to flash the bootloader sbf. the international one is called IHOP then you can continue on to flash CWM, not sure if youve already done this but if you need help let me know.
Hello all, i recently got my phone back, i bricked it. They didnt noticed and did a board swap
Well now i got my android back on track but im having some service problems.
When I'm at home, i sometimes lose service, but even when I do have service i have to try an average of 20 times before a text i send actually goes out. Also i can't recieve or make phone calls.
When im at work though, i have no problem what so ever. Everything works like a charm, and thats why i'm confused. I already contacted Vodafone, they say there isn't anything wrong with there network and my phone should work.
So any tips on what I could do? Flash a different ROM? Reflash this one? (because there was a country wide problem with the Vodafone network whilst i was installing this rom)
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks for reading, Greetings Thierry
You should check which radio you have on your hd2.
2.15er radio is recommended for usage with android
Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium
Im currently on 2.15.50.14 radio.
I saw it was recommended in some guys guide. So that shouldn't be the problem if im correct?
Yes it shouldn´t be.
Hmm to make sure that software is okay do a complete reflash or try another ROM.
Could be also the kernel.
Try this one and flash it via CWM
Ok im reflashing this rom cause i really love it
Hope it will refresh some service settings or something. Im thinking maybe he got some fault settings when the vodafone network was down, i dont know. Hoping

Ok so, i did this:
- Reflashed the MIUI rom. (same problem)
- Flashed dif. rom. (same problem)
- Reflashed MIUI rom. (same problem)
- Flashed new kernel. (same problem)
Any other ideas?
Oh yeh and i use clockwork
Okay you can do following :
Run task29 (will erase everything except bootloader) : do some search for the prog and the how to!
Go into bootloader to
Flash magldr and flash it
Flash clockwork mod with right partition etc
Flash new rom.
Otherwise it's a network problem or a hardware (but i don't think so since you said it works if you are not at home).

Wait that could be it, i flashed 250mb when i got my phone back from the repair guys.
But before that i used the 150mb one, could that be it?

It depends on how much space your rom needs.
You should see the roms thread to check what layout it needs and how much space.
But if it's still the same rom like you had before (and if it was working before like it should) flash a 150mb layout
Probably this is the issue

Well i did everything you described, but still nothing :S
Im running out of ideas here, how can I have service before i bricked my phone and at my work, but not at home?

Write me a pm about what they told you
Maybe you should flash windows mobile before you go to them so they can't say it's android causing this issues
Or you can surprise them with windows phone haha

Hi all, major lurker here.
I've been running MIUI roms for the past year or so and have always been happy.
Recently the phone went into a bootloop while I was trying to load a game(scramble with friends).
Every rom I flashed, it wouldn't take the bootloop away so I flashed a stock 2.3.4 rom. Fixed the bootloop but then wifi would only say 'turning wifi on...' then soon after, wifi would be off. And i couldn't get visionary to work to re-root so I hastedly did the htc dev unlock bootloader (before I found downgrade threads).
Flashed a buncha roms and different kernels and did the bcm4329.ko flash/install methods but my wifi problem is still the same, turning on...turning off.
Now I'm back to stock 2.2.1, and no wifi.
Anyone have an idea of what to try next? I've tried every rom and kernel I could find, could it really be a hardware issue?? If it is, maybe I can just disassemble and solder a wire back on? lol
Thanks in advance!
you need to upgrade to gingerbread and you will be fine thats 2.3.4

Radio has nothing to do with wifi.
It honestly sounds like either something came undone inside your phone, or the wifi chip is shot.
