Hello! I have a HTC Niki100 and it doesnt weant to charge...
I connect it to the USB Charger, the charging icon and "Battery Status: Charging" shows up.
But after a few seconds "Battery Low". Then it comes back to normal and again "Battery Low".
Can you tell me how to fix that?
There are some explanations for this error:
1. Your battery it's too old and it doesn't charge ok.
FIX: Buy a new one.
2. Your phone Radio it's saying to the OS that the device is dying while he is ok.
FIX: Update your Radio
3. Unexpected error from the device
FIX: Depends the error. Remember the phone it's quite old, try another one because HTC doesn't longer give support to it.
I hope it's useful for you.

Hi All,
I have a battery/charge/pda problem: if i look battery status i read "Battery Unknown".
If pda is plug to usb/ac it won't charge.
If phone is unplug, it show me a message that warns me the battery level is low.
I try another battery, soft reset, hard reset, change Radio Rom, change O.S. but the problem is the same.
Phone plug/unplug: always "battery unknown" in battery status.
Any idea?
Up! No solution? Any driver? Any tools? any... any???

This is a tricky one to solve.
Here is something to try, but you may need to try a few times and even then yiu may not succeed:
1.
Remove the battery from the phone for at least half an hour
2
Using the mains charger (NOT USB) connect to the phone and switch on the charger (battery still removed)
3
Now insert the battery. Give it a while (up to 5 mins) and hopefully the RED no charge LED will change to Orange and charging will start.
Repeat steps 2+3 if it does not work first time.
If all that fails there is one more fiddly suggestion where you charge the battery a little using a couple of AA type batteries. If necessary I can give a few more details on that.
Failing the above then you'll need to get another battery (preferrably pre-charged at least to some degree.

Hmm, I have a (mostly) similar problem to this:
My 8525 (WM6 flashed) wouldn't recognize my battery (when plugged in, status light still just flashes green) but the battery still seems to hold a charge (I've run it for a day with outlook sync enabled, which usually drains the battery completely). Battery status is Unknown.
I bought another battery and the same thing happens. Tried it on USB, tried it on AC power. The battery indicator always indicates "charging" which makes me think that my year+ of owning this phone has knocked one of the wire connections out of place. Any thoughts?
(edit: I should add that I tried Mike's suggestion above a few times and the result was always that immediately after inserting the battery, the red charging light went off)
Hi there guys, I have recently bought an HTC Titan from Alltel (the black one) and noticed that it says the warning message "Main Battery Very Low" even if its at 100% of its capacity (verified this with another titan) I thought that it was a software issue, so I didnt worried about it.
Sadly I have already build and cooked my rom, updated everything and it works great, but I receive the same error, main battery very low, also if I connect the usb cable or the wall charger it doesnt shows the charging state, I mean, it says that its charging but if you open the battery metter instead of showing the increasing and decreasing percentage bar it just says at "0%" and thats all.
Also I have already verified if the phone charges the battery and everything... it does, the phone charges the battery and everything works normally, it just dont stops giving the message, and it also turns the phone off eventually.
Any suggestions? hardware issue? whats going on? =/.
Thanks in advance.
have you tried a hard reset?
try finding someone with a titan and switch out the batteries for a minute or two and see if you get the same worning with a different battery.
Hi,
I just recieved my HD2 two weeks ago and already my battery is now broken.
I have been running froyostone and i was talking to a friend and my phone ran out.... I charged it booted it in windows and end up getting a message that my battery is now broken...
is this a hardware problem, a software problem or an actual thing that has happened..
is this normal and is there a way to fix a battery or do i have to actually replace for a new one?
would froyostone have any chance got in this problem to break my battery?

Never heard of that, although it's quite a blunt message, does it not charge over pc as well as through a wall charger?
try to turn the phone off, connect the charger and leave it for some time. also check the battery pins. I have never heard of such error message...
I suspect the pins might be bent/broken inside the device.
Try someone's battery to check whether it's the pins' problem or the battery's
guys it is fixed. it is a bug as what i did... i took off the battery out of my HD2 and i put it back and it started charging again.
Around 2008 I got a I-mate Jasjam (I know its pretty old!) It's been pretty good to me but in 2011 I struck a problem. When I go into battery status it says: "Main Battery: Unknown". Following that problem I don't get to know the battery percentage or how much remaining power there is and I get a "Warning battery extremely low" warning when I just charged it. Also whenever I connect it to charge it seems to charge but no light or indicator or charging message appears. So I have no idea when its completed. I have taken it to a repair shop and exchanged the battery and charger but I have had no luck. I have also tried hard resetting it and upgrading rom and everything but no luck! I am running Windows mobile 6. Please help me fix this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I attached a pic of the problem
Hello everyone.
I'm in a very tough spot in the recovery of my LG G2 smartphone.. I've tried every single method under the sun for the G2 (d801) to no avail. My latest attempt to unbrick this thing has been to use the LG Mobile Support tool off of the LG website. I've downloaded and installed the tool, clicked "Options", "Upgrade Recovery", entered my IMEI number in the "Enter the phone info" dialog box, then when it gets halfway through... around 48% complete saying "Checking battery power level" or something along those lines, then fails with the error "Battery level low, upgrade is unavailable. Upgrade halted by lack of battery power may cause serious errors in the phone software. Recharge the battery fully and try upgrade again ".
I am unable to get the device to charge because when I power it off, then plug it in, it begins looping at the LG logo... It'll stay black for 5 seconds, light up the logo for another 5 seconds, wash rinse and repeat... It's been like this for over 3 weeks now... I've left it in the looping state plugged in for about 7 days now, and it still comes up with this error. I've read on another XDA thread that it does charge while looping, but the mobile support tool doesn't seem to realize it.
Anyways, any help is greatly appreciated. My device has been bricked since August 23rd.

Did you fix it/ find a way?
I have the same problem. "Battery level low, upgrade is unavailable. Upgrade halted by lack of battery power may cause serious errors in the phone software. Recharge the battery fully and try upgrade again. "
But my battery is at 100%!!! I tried it at 70% and first got the error. But when I was at 57%, I didnt get the error.
Take your battery out. Put back in. Dont power on phone. Just plug in a normal charger.
See if that charges your bat without needing to turn it on. The screen still turns on to show the %.
(But when I got to full power, the error message didnt go away).
t5678. No, I was not able to find a fix. The G2 is unibody, therefore the battery cannot be removed. I have left the device on the charger for 24 hours, and it still gives me the "battery level is low, upgrade unavailable" message in LG Mobile Support Tool. Despite people saying "Try it in x86", and "try it in x64"... I've tried the exact same method in Windows 7 and 10 and none have worked so far...
