[Q] Notification LED - Trophy General

Hey guys,
I've Mango installed on my HTC Trophy, but i noticed that the notification LED only works when i've a missed call, or low battery. Is it possible to activate this functionality to Unread SMS, Unread E-mails, etc?
Thanks

This was the case on NoDo too. I'm not sure if WP7 supports this functionality. The one thing I truly miss from Android is this feature and repeat notifications! I want to be notified more than once that I receive an SMS (it should stop alerting me until I acknowledge there is a message) since I use this phone for work!

How to ensure your new SMS alert plays ever time a new SMS is received :)

Not receiving SMS when the HD is not on standby or SMS alerts not playing has been an issue for many users;
For example see the following threads
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=499582&highlight=sms*
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523128&highlight=alert

However, I have now found a method that works all of time (I have not missed a SMS alert now for over a week and that is 200+ texts received)
You do, however, need to install the following software
HDTweak
Pockshield (other screen lock software may also work - but i've not tested them)
Set the following on your alert settings on your phone (this is just what I use, other settings should work fine too)
Vibrate on new SMS
Play sound on new SMS
Flash LED on new SMS (i've set this to indefinetely)
Show message on new SMS
Set the following in HD tweak
Wake on new SMS enabled
Then, every time a new SMS arrives, the phone will always wake up and play the SMS sound You don't have to worry about the keys becoming unlocked if you have the HD in your pocket, as pocketshield will be active and prevent the keys from working. If you aren't around to hear your alert your HD will just go back to sleep depending on your power settings, but the LED will continue to flash to alert you to the missed message.
Hopefully, this little quirk of the HD is now fixed for everyone

Restore Bubble SMS Notification on HD2

Hello all, have been searching for this on the forum for quite a while without any success yet. Have tried browsing and searching, so now finally I am asking in a new thread.
I have disabled the HTC messaging due to the lagging problem, so now am using the native windows messaging app. It works now without much hassle.
I used the Zenyee disable sms thingy
The problem is, the bubble notification on the slider does not light up green anymore when new SMS comes in, only a windows notification on the top of the screen.
This also affects the s2u2 lock screen, no notification of new SMS coming in. I guess these are related. I wont know there's a new sms on the phone if i missed the sound, only when i unlock the phone and see the top notification bar.
Any fix for these, you masters?
Thanks in advance.

Notifications disappear from the bar

Hi all,
i have a question about notifications :
How long notifications such as a received text messages disappear from the notification bar?
I often have to go to the Friends of the widget to see the new sms icon in green, after 1 or 2 hours that i cant use phone and notifications disappear.
Tnx to all
Notifications normally don't disappear until you're explicitly read them or cleared them. Text notifications should still be there even if you restart your phone.

thanks for the reply, but I still have this problem with the notifications in the bar, as if there was a deadline in time, perhaps some setting?
maybe because i installed the ota 1.72?
I also find the notifications on this phone to be haphazard. I'm sure the light notifications clear after a short time. I've missed several important messages as a result.
I will monitor this more carefully since I am not 100% certain that this behaviour is actually happening -- but I think it is.
Just got this phone last week and same here. Notifications are fine for everything except SMS. I sometimes dont get:
a) A Notification of a new SMS.
b) the messages icon on my home screen, doesnt show a new text count, with a green circle and number.
When I go into messages, there is a new sms or sms's.
Im running 1.75.110.2
and kernel 2.6.32.21
Its a pain.
Concerning the no SMS notification, it's a known bug since the 1.72 update. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=887098 .
I've concluded that SMS is a disaster on Android in all respects.

OK. I have been monitoring this for the last few days. I can now confirm that the notification light goes on when I receive a text (SMS) message but it does not stay on. So, if I don't notice the light at the time, I am unaware that there is a text message waiting for me.
I presume that this behaviour effects everyone running the 1.72 update.

Whatsapp Notification on Lockscreen

Hi Guys
Does anyone know if it's possible to have a notification on the lock screen for a new whatsapp message received? Just like for a new sms or e-mail, but for whatsapp.
This would be amazing. I mean, lockwidgets is awesome (except for the fact that it stops working after a while by itself), but I would love a little whatsapp icon with a number next to it indicating the number of messages on the lock screen.
Thanks!
This functionality is supposed to come with WP8, so all we can do is hope it gets backported to WP7.8.

[Q] How to get alerts to Fitbit - Bluetooth Spoofing, Fake SMS Notification

I have a Fitbit Flex 2 and it's practically useless because it only notifies me for SMS and Calls, which is 1/100th of the notifications on my phone nowadays!
I'm trying to find ways to be able to get Fitbit notifications for all my notifications. I had a few questions for people who may have spent more time developing on this platform than me.
One method that may be possible is grabbing the Bluetooth packet sent from my phone and spoofing that to cue a notification. Can this even be done?
Another method may be sending a fake SMS received notification to my phone. Right now I am using Tasker to send myself an SMS for every item I receive and it's very annoying to have two alerts for everything. Can I send a fake SMS received state to my phone and not have it show up in the notification tray?
Any other suggestions are welcome!
