I've searched the forums, but haven't found a app/widget that will lock the volume keys when the phone is locked itself. Does anyone happen to know of one that will work with Lockbot 2.0, or any other lock app for that matter. It's quite annoying to have my volume mute without me knowing, and I've tried quite a few of the locking programs, and none of them seem to lock down the volume keys.
Hey guys, do you think its possible to make the evo's volume rocker as the on/off button, because the samsung galaxy S the on/off button is on the side which is very convient spot, because you can turn on/off your phone without extending your thumb or finger all the way to the top of the device like our devices "evo", can this be dont on a software tweak?
Download "No Lock" from the marketplace. It disables the screen lock but also lets you wake up your Evo by hitting the volume up or down buttom. To turn the screen off, you'll still have to hit the power button though. Works well for me. YMMV.

Mhmm, i guess this will do for a while, hopefully someone here, will make it happen someday.... thanks for telling me this " No lock " app
no lock also sorta makes up for the lack of a physical silence switch... if hte phones in my pocket, i just click the volume down button once and then hold it until it vibrates and then hit the power button once. much easier than messing with the screen without looking at it =D
Lockout also does this,and you can customize your lockscreen.
I couldn't find lockout in the Market, and I like the slide to unlock I just don't want to have to reach up to the power button when the vol. buttons are there and should wake to unlock too. I'd pay for that tweak.

Hello, i did a fresh install on n148. I noticed when playing music when screen is off I couldnt skip tracks by holding volume rocker. I use to be able to do this. Is there an option the I need to toggle? Thxs
Found the problem finally. I had lock screen wake enabled. Now it works. Can close thread ;p

I installed an anti-theft tracking app on my phone but I can't disable the "airplane mode, sound, reboot, shutdown" menu (that appears when you long-press the power button) and the volume rocker, when the device is locked but the screen is on... so anyone can just shutdown my phone or mute the ringtone or put it in airplane mode and that makes the tracking app useless.
I tried using "Smart lockscreen protector" by nez droid but it doesn't work.
Is there a way to disable these "features"?
