This is the guy that was working on hdmi out here, before the mods banned him for asking for cash. Also, teamwin isn't working on their own version, they took the release from Sam, added their own tweaks and released under their group. kinda slimey IMO.
I've been playing with his releases and they're quite good, best i've seen yet. The only complaint i have is you have to flash his modified kernel to get it working and i'm too content with my current kernel.

I would certainly hope they wouldn't jump the gun like that. I was simply stating facts. go look at the code for each incarnation. it speaks for itself.

I'm assuming that this is still going to be ECO5/FroYo based, am I correct? I remember back in the EE03 Pre-Release thread, one of the ACS members saying that SRF releases are not, and will never be based on leaks. Seeing as EE19 hasn't officially been called official, at least to the best of my knowledge, I think I am answering my own question... Prove me wrong?

Yea i think 1.1.1 was ready a long time ago but K0 didn't want to release it until he flashed it... they just released it late and was probably alrready working on 1.2

I don't believe crap until copies of a Sprint memo preparing customer service for a release date appears. Had one with Froyo a week before and so far nada. Galaxy S phones in Europe may get it by end of month but US carriers will screw it up until August.

We just got official FroYo. I'm not sure what the rush is to get GB right now. Granted, we have a fairly decent leak.

The issue is, as I know it, is that the leak did not come with source, and most of the kernel tweaks cant be done w/o the kernel source
And the source is not released until the official build drops
not to mention a lot of Devs dont build ROMs for leaks

Good point, though there are EE03 ROMs, and devs working on the build, but from what I can tell, DK28 was a solid leak, where EE03 seems to still have a lot of bugs, hence the reduced interest by the Devs

Not in my opinion. EE03 ran way smoother than DK28 did for me. I get no lag, better battery life than SRF, and Netflix!

No, not ICS.... but the Epic will be getting an OTA update called EL30 very soon. My guess is that it will have CIQ removed and be Android 2.3.6 (dont hold me to it).

Rock on qb, thanks for the info. This won't have any effect on CM7, right? Maybe a few of the other TW ROMs will incorporate this, hopefully to make them maybe a bit quicker and more stable perhaps?
Either way, good to know we're getting another OTA, and hopefully, the best modem on the face of the Earth...

EL30 was the first rdf file with no mention of CIQ in it, and it is also listed as 2.3.6

If it's slated for an OTA release it could start showing up as soon as Monday, based on past experience. (It's been 3 weeks since it was released to test).
The comment that QIK was removed and replace by a link makes me think they needed room in the system partition. Either 2.3.6 is fatter than 2.3.5 or they stuffed something else in there.
