HTC Cruise and Parrot CK3000

I have just bought a Cruise and it connects fine to my Parrot CK3000. The problem is however that the sound is much to loud. Changing it with the button on the side does not help. It makes no difference if the slide is completely at the top or at the bottom.
Does anybody know how to change the volume on the carkit??
When you are in a call just use the dial thingy of the carkit and turn it counter clockwise. Should bring the volume down.
You can also set the volume in the settings of the carkit when you're not in a call.
edit: Which one do you have btw? Cause I'm beginning to thing you have the new CK3000 without the display . Although my guess is that turning the dial when in a call does the same: change the volume.
edit2: I've just come up with a brilliant idea!: http://www.parrot.com/usa/support/userguides

CK3000 does have neither display nor wheel.
Only accept/refuse buttons.

Oh my, thát one . Damn parrot calling all their carkits 3000 :/
Online manual here for that one:
http://www.parrot.com/guide_chm/CK3000/
Which says nothing more than:"Setting the volume: Volume is adjusted on your phone".
I'm not sure how the volume might work with the bluetooth connection. Take into consideration that changing the volume when you're not in a call only changes the system volume. When you're having a phone call, only then you are changing the volume of the call.
When clicking the speaker icon when you're not having a phone call shows two sliders, one for the system volume and one with a little phone as icon. That one is not for the call volume but for the ringer volume.
So in short there are three types of volumes. System, ringer and call. Playing with the system volume and the call volume could be worth a shot.
Yes that is the problem. When I adjust the volume during the call nothing changes. The volume slider is shown, but it makes no difference if it is at the max or the min setting. Somehow this does not work. I have software version 3.13.
Any suggestions??
Hi Tim,
just click on the speaker at the top to change the volume DURING a call.
regards Yoshi
Hello Yoshi,
I tried this but I got the same result. I can slide the volume indicator to minimal but the sound volume stays the same.
Any other ideas maybe.
I encounter the same problem that Tim B. I can not modify the sound of CK3000 from the phone.
When I change the volume during a call, no changes. The volume is too loud !

This is a Touch Cruise problem.
It does not allow to change volume on blutooth handsfree profile.
You'll encounter the same problem with bt headset. Only there, you're usually able to adjust volume on the headset itself.
Apperently HTC thought that there aren't any bluetooth handfree device around which do not allow to change volume.
In my car the ck3000 is just loud enough, but I use bigger speakers.

[software request] is there a software that can adjust in-call volume?

i use O2 xda flame
i wanna it automaticly adjust the in-call volume to the top when i inputed a number and pressed the "talk"button,Or when a incoming call comes and i pressed the "answer" .
the reason why i need it:my flame(perhapt also yours)'s volume in call is always too small(not at the top) even your vomlue bar is at top.and which is more seriosly, sometimes a call comes, you pressed the answer, and you may hear nothing(but he/she can hear you w/o problem).
the two problem above can be solved by pressing the volume+ key during the call, and as soon as you pressed it,you can hear him/her in highest volume,but....
sounds it's easy, but i need to press it almost every call.i hate doing repeated things.so,is there a software can help me "press" the volume+ key?
check out phone weaver
Using the profile of phone weaver, you can adjust the in-call volume.

FM Radio in 'vibrate' mode not possible?

I couldn't find an answer to this 'problem' so maybe it's something specific for my phone, but I can't listen to my radio in 'vibrate' mode of the telephone. When I turn op the volume my phone automaticaly leaves silent mode, and that's very annoying. I can't find away to change this in the 'normal' audiosettings of the phone, so is it possible to change this, or is it only possible to listen to your radio when not in silence mode?

Errr.. yeah, of course! Can't you just set your ringtone to vibrate as well, and then you can turn the ringer right down, and leave the system volume high? (there's the setting to have single volume for ringer and system, or 1 volume for each).

Why not just put the phone into Airplane mode so any incoming calls go to voicemail.
You can either use tweak to have system and ringer volumes independent, or to disable HTC volume control altogether. I use it like this because standard WM volume controls use volume keys for controlling system volume rather then ringer volume, or combined volume.
The first tweak is in sticky tweaks thread, the other is here:

I don't understand why this is so obvious.
But if it's not possible than the tip for putting my ringtone to vibrate should work, although it's a pity I would have to change this everytime I don't want to listen to my radio anymore.
And the Airplane mode is not an option, because I want to be able to send/receive sms for example, and when somebody calls me it's OK too.
For example, when I am in the train and I don't want to disturb other people, but I still want to listen to my radio, I would like to do this in Vibrate mode so no noices (sms, incomming calls, system alarms etc.) would make any noices

Thank you, this would be of good use! Because indeed, I want to use those two independent, and I find it very weird it's not something 'standard' on the phone. I will try to tweak, merci

It is standard. Go to the settings tab and select "Sound & Display". There's an option under "volume" where you set whether to use single volume, or ring/system volume (controlled seperately). Then, under "Ring and Notifications", set Ring Type to Vibrate and ring.
Then, when you want to drop the ringer volume, just go to change the volume with the buttons and you can toggle between system and ringer. Just set the ringer to nothing (not silent), and set the system to whatever you want for the radio. That way, the phone will only vibrate when you get a call, but you can still listen to the radio.
Hope this helps
This seem to work John, although I can't test at the moment if other sounds like sms and so will be there, but I am getting somewhere!
Thanks again

Call volume

Hello,
My in call volume is VERY loud, so much so that I'm forced to move my phone away from my face when in a call. I've tried hitting the volume buttons when in a call but they seem to make no difference to the actual volume. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
Thanks!

How to make phone call volume quieter?

Hi!
We all know that we can set volume using volume buttons. In normal situation I can go as quiet as I want and even set it to zero. However, during the phone call I am not able to to go below certain level. Is there way to get rid of that limit so that I can set any volume during the phone call from volume buttons? Sometimes I want to go one step quieter than the quietest volume that phone offers me to use during the phone call.
