I've rooted an evo and changed the splash screen. I have the splash screen with the little android guy wearing a cape. It doesn't do it every day just once in a while. Evo rooted by unrevoked method using synergy rom. Has stuck on slash screen with other roms. Any idea on what the problem is. Thanks in advanced

On my n1 I was able to bypass the initial bypass screen of android by tapping the for corners if the screen clockwise starting top left.
Tried that on the gs2 but didn't work. I was wondering if I'm doing it wrong or it may not be available on the gs2. Can someone verify?

Remove the boot-animation files from the system for a blank boot screen .

My mother has an HTC evo and put a custom splash screen and every once in a while it sticks. I put the same splash screen on mine and it doesn't stick. What could be the problem. We r running the same rom. Did hers the same way I did mine.

Hey guys, so yesterday my phone was acting a little weird and slow (running ICS) so i decided to reboot, then my power button was not responding, so i did a battery pull, after i put the battery back in and attempted to power up only to feel three vibrations and then seeing a orange LED and nothing else, soon after i thought id just go into CWM and re-flash, so i held the VOL Down and pressed Power, and this time 5 Vibrations and a Green LED, so very scared Ive signed on to XDA and search around and ive found people with this same problem but have never gotten a straight answer. can this be fixed? whats going on? and if so, how? and BTW my computer detects it when i plug in the USB. Thanks for any help. -SymBiiote
There are at least 3 threads on this. Search for them, try everything suggested and if it still doesn't work then I hope you have insurance

yeah im pretty sure i said in the OP that ive read those two posts and they both show no direct answers/
And I'm pretty sure I stated that your gonna need insurance if those suggestions didn't work

Says right in one of the threads your emmc chip failed and that means your gonna need to get a new phone so I hope u do have insurance

this phone never drop before but this lines just appear out of nowhere on the screen and it multiplies in the next day and so on...

because in my home screen is also like this with lines..

Dude that's your device I guess. Did you press hard on that area? It happened to a laptop of mines before.

I dont remember that i press it too hard... But why they keep on adding each day...
On my laptop on got frustrated and pressed really good on it and the lines showed up. And it yeah they multiplied. I'm outta ideas to fix it. Maybe get into recovery and see if the lines are still there.

This might be caused by either connecting Ur phone to a faulty charger or a faulty laptop(power surge). It happened to me once. By then I was using a Nokia e75. And I was charging it at a friend's place.it was connected to his laptop which was using a charger which had a low voltage than what the pc needed, whenever the laptop was disconnected from the power source it just goes off, reason being the charger is unable to charge the battery. So the electricity went off and came back and before I realized, there was that line on the screen. It was just a line at first but continued to spread. So I guess u have to change the screen or LCD .

Got an EVO that I dug out since my sons phone took a crap.. plugged it charged it up..turned it on and I heard the boot animation but when I looked at screen all I see is the white EVO screen.. so I reflashed a stock Rom it booted up..same thing.. white screen but you can hear the loading sounds. Any ideas?

so im trying to ruu but even fully charged i get the warning saying theres less then 30% battery.. tried this with 2 different ones and a different PC.. im gonna assume at this point the board is just f***ed
