Bypass welcome screen - Galaxy S II General

Hello
On my n1 I was able to bypass the initial bypass screen of android by tapping the for corners if the screen clockwise starting top left.
Tried that on the gs2 but didn't work. I was wondering if I'm doing it wrong or it may not be available on the gs2. Can someone verify?

SGS 2 does not have that .

Any other way? I received my sgs2 yesterday, charged it and want to play with till I get around of migrating my data from my n1 to sgs2. Have been extremely busy this week.

Remove the boot-animation files from the system for a blank boot screen .

Just like on my old crappy 5230
Just tapped the screen and the boot animation skipped

[Q] Activation screen bypass?

Has anyone found a activation bypass on the verizon galaxy tab? It would be much appreciated as i work in a verizon store and they have not provided us with a activated tab to demo for customers.
Well I bought my tab from Verizon and they gave me a wifi only version like I asked for.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Huh? The wifi only version isn't being released until 2011. They probably just let you waive the first month of 3G service.
So does the age old trick of tapping the four corners of the screen clockwise starting at the top left now longer work?
Sent from my SCH-I800 using XDA App
on the other devices you can touch all four corners of the screen clockwise and it will bypass activation. give it a shot and let us know
I will try it when I go into work in the morning. I will let you guys know.

The four corner press clock wise does work. Thank you.
At the activation screen using the volume key: up down down up up up down down down down.
Works perfect!

What?
I was expecting up up down down left right left right A B start.
UP / Down does work
I can confirm that the up down stuff works! Tried it on 4 Tabs already
Bypass tricks not working
I was a little too excited to start using our new Sprint Galaxy that I cancelled out the activation to get to the fun stuff. now it keeps telling me that activation is not complete. I've tried the 4 corners trick and the volume button trick and it still wont go away.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Im on the same boat . . . . .are we assed out?

I guess so. We've been on the phone all morning with Sprint,Samsung and best buy and not getting anywhere. When we bought it at best buy we had a choice between a sprint version and a Verizon one. But the Verizon needed at least a 1 month activation. So we bought the sprint. Now spiny and Samsung are saying that we need to sign up for an account to activate it or just live with the constant reminders.
There has to be a way around it though. Anyone? A little help here?

Screen keeps going to sleep

Ive noticed when watching any type of video my 7 keeps slowing dimming to the point it goes off . I've tried messing with the sleep its on 15 or 30 mins. Has anyone else had or got this problem, its really pissing me off now. Ive already had to put up with flickering and screen lift good seriously needed to test this out before putting it to production the flaws are a complete joke my nexus s doesn't give me all these problems
Yes my s is slower than the 7 but it works better than this piece of garbage

I believe that it's up to the app itself to keep the display on, so depending on what you're trying to play, you may want to try a different player.
Its on YouTube its self the device has went completely dead I can't even turn the screen on now. I've loved the Google brand since owning my first android phone the nexus S but this has put me right off it.

Proud owner of a Galaxy Note 2:)

This is my first post on XDA and what a way to start, just bought a Galaxy Note 2 N7100 White today(although I would've loved the grey one but got a good price on this so yeh). Got to say, so far I love the phone and apart from the size, I have no gripes with it. I'm thinking that if I am struggling a little bit right now and it is without a cover, how would it be with a cover on? I guess I'll use it for a few days and see. Galaxy S3 feels tiny in the hand now lol(never thought I'd say that). I have a couple of questions and would be glad if someone could answer them.
Does anyone know how to make one app full screen when using the multiwindow feature? Also, how to swap apps? I saw a video online which had two buttons next to the divider line but there aren't any buttons showing up on mine. I have an o2 variant if that is any help.
Am i able to flash a stock rom(without o2 splash screen and bloatware) without rooting? Would this unlock the device also?
Thanks

Thanks, and sorry I just realised now, was trying to find how to delete the post and repost it in the Q&A section.
To make the app full screen:
With the arrow in the divider pointing to the app you want full screen, touch the divider. Two options should pop up. Choose the big window.
To change apps:
Drag another app from the multi window to the location of the app you want to replace.

i agree with you, after using my Note II for two weeks. Using my GS3 and One X feels so tiny in the hands
Try using a smaller phone like a non-android 2+ inch screen. When I did it, I was like.. :sly: to to :sly:.

True enough... Note 2 make me love the big phone.... the rest of the small phone :sly:

Mother of GOD ! there are other icon imprints as well if I look closely !!
Hope it doesn't get darker than this ...
You won't find away around it unfortunately.
These screens are both fantastic and both sh*t at the same time. It's good technology but it isn't perfected. My original SGS went terrible. After nearly 2 years on it I could see perfectly the alarm icon and almost every icon I had on my home screen on light and dark backgrounds - It's a nice screen but it will only get worse within time.
As others have said only real solution is to keep altering your backgrounds and home screens but tbh I wouldn't bother, you'll still get burn from the time and other icons in the status bar.
Until Samsung sort them out and improve how they work it's just the way it's going to be
Whoa!! That is scary!
I have heard that there is no solution for a burn-in..? Thanks for the advice though. I'll keep changing the layout constantly.

Random dialling or screen captures

I've had some strange issues with my note 3 and wonder if anyone else has similar
My note 3 takes random screen captures or will dial one of my contacts without notice
I have a pattern lock screen so I know my phone isn't unlocking
Anyone else having similar ?

Had some issues with mine today,I did Restore to Default and things are working fine, just try though and you could be lucky or else wait for the OTA update to fix the issue!
So glad it's not just me .. Did you reset your whole phone to default ie factory reset or just the phone settings and if the phone how did you do it ?
I've added an app called call confirm to ensure I don't accidently dial
What a weird issue ?

Thanks for letting me know about that app and I did factory reset,I use my iphone a lot so used the term Restore to Default. The thing is you have to delete everything off your phone if u got it and u should be ok I believe!
When the original Galaxy Note arrived, there was a problem called Ghost touch, which operated screen touch on its own and it affected only 1/3rd of owners so Note series is prone to such issues, dont worry!
Your welcome will we have had our fair share of issues reboot and ghost dialing .. Not good for a flagship handset but im sure Sammy will sort it ..... Glad it's bit a fault but probably a software issue which will be fixed in time to done
Love the note 3 had one and two and so far bar a few gremlins this is the best handset so far

Hey,its alright buddy!Ahh,I have had some worst issues with my S4 and took many hours to sort it out despite being an E&C engineer so this is less than a problem for me.Basically yes, facing such issues on flagship handsets gives us the creep but we cant help.
Yes,its one of the best handsets, hopefully some rooting in the near future.
Best of luck!

I use an iphone 5 too and I agree that the screen is a bit small and thats one of the reasons why people are stuck with Android but its really cool and both have advantages over each other.
Anyway,where are you from,buddy?
