Wizard Facia Housing

Hello, I have a Qtek 9100 and unfortunately I dropped it and scratched the front of the casing up pretty bad. The phone is still in perfect condition and not even a scratch on the back or the screen. I am looking for the front housing. I do not have any scratches on the rear housing, keyboard, or even the battery cover. I have looked on Ebay and the only thing that I have found is for around $100 (US). I do not want to pay that much for something that I can conceivably drop again. So my question is; is there anyone out there that knows where I can get a front housing? I would even buy the total housing to use as a backup but I do not want to spend an arm and a leg for it. I would greatly appreciate any feedback anyone has.
im looking for one myself.. i dropped my imate kjam a numerous amount of time...and the body has been scratched up rpetty bad
if theres a way to get it in canada, ottawa.. id really appreciate to find out..
thnx
How about vinyl sticker to put on top of the scratches? Like those offered by mytego.com?
you can see how it look like from this thread at howardforum

That's my phone in the post by username ToNg
Oh. That's slick the way the background and vinyl work as one.

please help-how to replace the metal frame with a new one

I was wondering if someone knows how to replace the metal frame, since it is dented. Is there a disassemble guide that shows me how to replace it. And from where can I buy the metal frame.
Another question, on ebay they sell htc hd dummy, is the housing case the same quality as the original phone?
Thanks
"oem housing" is the keyword to search for. But at the moment the original housing from HTC seems to be your only choice - and is certainly overpriced. A number of OEM back covers for the Touch HD are already available, so complete OEM housings will follow soon. You can get an idea here http://dealfon.com/product.asp?cid=61
As for the dummy http://bit.ly/ZLD3 indeed its housing looks quite real. Write to the manufacturer then, and please report back.
do you think replacing the metal frame is easy, from looking at it can you maybe predict how to remove it and replace it?
I would not attempt to do it myself, but let a shop technician do it that is used to do this for HTC devices. Even if I bring my own housing, a flat repair fee should do it.

Universal housing - gluing. Need some advice.

Sup guys.
As the title says, my recently bought uni housing have a crack. It's located right under bottom right corner of uni's display. As far as I know it's pretty frequent damage of uni housing, and it's not doing any harm to my pda but I just don't like it. Would prefer to have it sealed ;]
There goes the question - is there anyone who tried gluing it?
Which glue would you recommend for this?
I'm thinking about model glue (does it have some other, certain name in english? I dunno about it, as english isn't my native, and I'm not into models too ;] Anyway it's the one you use to glue plastic models). It have needle, so it's precise - I don't want to left any marks of gluing on my uni.
What do you guys think? Is it even possible to glue it neatly? Is the model glue okay? Or should I pick another one? If so - which one?
Thanks in advance.
I think some might say you can get a new housing off ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/FULL-GREY-HOUSI...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4cedb9772e
US $42.49 ---> GPB £27.8364
just typed 'XDA Exec' in to ebay US and found: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=XD...&_odkw=HTC+Universal+housing&_osacat=0&bkBtn=
Also found: http://cgi.ebay.com/O2-Xda-Exec-Qte...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item45f1fac0d9
Yeah, but I don't need new one. One I have actually is in good condition, and not really worn out - only this crack bothers me.
Also it's not doing any harm to pda, so paying 40$ for new housing is out of question. If there is no way to glue it (I think it will work, though), then I will just live with it ;]
am starting to get that =]
i think you should try and purchase a 6 start screw driver.
and dismantal the screen then try to glue to.
if not just spend $37 on a scrren outer housing for the screen and base

[Q] Question about repairing my touchscreen

Hello
Today my loved Touch HD fell down and the front glass of the touchscreen is broken now :/ Because the reparation is so expensive, I think about repairing it by myself. Now I just want to ask you: Is this the right part?
(Picture 1.PNG in the attachment)
Or do I have to take sth like on the 2.PNG?
Picture0017.jpg is a photo of the broken touchscreen.
And another question: Is it hard to do this by myself?
Thanks
Greetings,
IceFire32
PS: Sorry for my bad english :/
Hi i did this myself. It is a little fiddley. At the last stage removing the glass from carriage was worst bit. Had to apply a substantial amount of pressure. (see the metal distorted off the back of the sensor)
I only wanted to change the casing. Ended up breaking the glass and tearing the connecting ribbon on the sensor.
Since your replacing this part anyway the whole pocess is much easier.
I got the parts off ebay. Cost me £56 in feb.
there is a good tutorial linked in this forum somewhere. Do a search. Guy with a strong italian accent.
PS get some double sided tape. as thin as you can find it.
and be very careful how you place the glass back in or use a weak adhesive tape.
Watch the tutorial. (search the forum) to see where he pushed to dislodge glass.
Hope this helps.

Broken screen Help

Finally due to rough handling broke the screen ..
there is crack on the glass and touch is recognized sometimes and it isnt recognized sometimes so what do i need to replace ?
scrren ? digitizer ? lcd ? or all ?
and i need the shipping to india (International shippng is fine) so can anyone please add the links of eBay or any other site selling the parts
cheapest parts will be appriciated ...
I'm not sure where to get a screen replacement that will ship to India, but a Google search turned up this on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Screen-Digiti...86&sr=8-1&keywords=nexus+7+screen+replacement
Also you will need whatever tools are listed in this guide: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nexus+7+Display+Assembly+Replacement/9945
Most devices have the digitizer, front glass, and the screen as one piece. Sometimes you can just replace the glass and not need to replace anything else, but it varies. Either way, you're most likely gonna need a heat gun. lots of patience, and a dust free environment to do it in....otherwise you will end up like a buddy of mine and having to take everything back apart to remove the cat hair that got between the glass and the screen.
Anyways, hope that helps.
