Phone memory is full !!!! - Galaxy 3 General

Mine galaxy 3 say that mine phone memory is full.
I have just few apps instaled on phone.
Mine question is what files is safe to delete with root explorer, so i can free a bit mine memory. I am talking about files like temporary files and similar things.
I am on Kyrillos' ROM v7.0.

wrong forum, so no awnser.. and you should inform yourself anyway! use search!
ask the question in galaxy 3 main section or wait till a moderator moves it.
you should know it allready.. you are here since 2009..

There is something called "SD. Card partrition ", get yourself informed about it. And I see you are on kyrillos 7.0 which asks you to partrition your card as soon as you boot in recovery. And, ain't you about the forum rules? This is "Development Section " don't consume the precious real state of it by such silly question. And there are loads of articles & tutorials about what u r asking. Read the RULES!!!

It's simple.
Install, move2sd enabler (root) from the market.
You need a rooted device, and debugging ON.

Even the app is not required...
Simple go to Settings--Applications--Manage Apps--Click on the 3rd party app--Move to SD
But if u want more space on int mem ... then partitionin and apps2sd scripts
PS - Wrong Section so next time ask in the General Sec

Since we don't have a moderator for our forum plz do not spam....

Make an ext4 partition on your SD card and use solutions as scripts app2sd (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073000) or link2sd (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919326).
I preffer the last one (link2sd) because I choose what app move to sd. Also i think that the app2sd script make unstable the phone.

[Q]Help required on Rooting Xperia Play

Hi All,
I have couple of basic question regarding rooting my xperia play. First of all i am not sure what i want is rooting only, so i will explain my problem, please let me know what i am trying to do is correct or not.
With the device, i got a dumb internal memory. I am a gaming freak, so downloaded most of the games and apps. So now i m running out of memory(Internal + SD card).
Today i purchased 16GB card over 8GB, which solved one problem.
Another problem is with the Internal memory. only 30MB is free currently.
1) Somewhere i read that if i root the device, i can force move all the applications to the SD card. so i decided to root. Is this the only solution?
2) I am following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043630
thread for rooting, can you please let know the OS image mentioned in there is the latest?
3) If there are multiple flavors of OS for xperia play, can you please let me know which the best OS to flash?
Thanks,
Harsha

@AndroHero:
Thanks for your help. It really helped me a lot. With the help of App 2 SD i moved all possible apps to SD. Now internal memory has 130MB free.
I have some more questions,
1) After i move any game to SD, i could still see its presence in internal memory but in few KB's. Is this the data of my progress in that game?
2) How to move already pre-installed games to SD? Also a game called "Crash......" i want to un-install.
3) Going forward, with installing new games and apps, i may run out of internal memory again, that's the time to root?
Thanks,
Harsha

1. Not too sure but I know it leaves a footprint in your internal memory.
2. Use Titanium Backup to remove them and then reinstall the apk to force them to the sd card. I did this with fifa, sims, etc.

How can I expand my internal storage?

Hey guys, hoping you could could give me more of a 'step-by-step' guide on how to expand my internal memory with my 8gb SD card. Please keep it mega-simple, I only got this phone yesterday, and managed to flash ICS thanks to a very basic tutorial.
Thanks

?? What ROM r u using ??
The easiest way is using application or script that move application to SD card. These things will move your application to your sd card and not wasting your internal memory. it's work perfectly fine.
There are many script available - chose one that match your ROM cause not all script are working perfectly to every ROM.
try search using A2SD and ....... (your ROM) to see which one work and which one donot...... Unfortunately i have to tell u that some script might working well with someone's phone (even u have the same ROM).
The second way is to install the app to SD program, like link2sd, app2sd... it's free on the market. Also this program is not working on everyone's phone. However it's easier to install.
after install script and application there might be a problem like low sound, lag, internet issue etc. so check that everything is Ok after u do anything.
I can't give u a step by step 'cause i dont know which ROM r u using.....

it's different for roms indeed. generally we have app2sd, app2sd+(aka app2ext), data2ext, d2sd, ad2sdx and so on.
the most basic and convenient 1 is link2sd from play store~
i think it's impossible to expand an internal storage. capacity is fixed. i read somewhere that some of space will be used for kernel and ROMs wil use another some of internal memory space to copy system files. so normally you will have internal memory available around 150-200MB depends on partition layout you make. the only way if you want to install many application is as mentioned above to move your application to SDcard, and i think link2sd app is the easiest way to do that

[GUIDE] Resolve Low Internal Space Issues

Well if you’re here you’ve probably gone and bought the ZTE Blade or one of its variants (Orange San Francisco, Dell XCD35 or the Idea Blade). You’ve probably been using it for a while now and I’m pretty sure you’ve come to that annoying moment when you download an awesome new app and get that pesky notification saying “Not enough memory”. Here’s a way to fix that problem albeit temporarily for rooted and non-rooted users alike
# Non Rooted Users:
First off, if you’re Android version says 2.1, it means you’ve got a Gen1 device. It’d be best top update it to a Gen2 device yourself using a TPT, or ask your manufacturer to do it for you. Now assuming you have a Gen2 device, i.e. your Android version says 2.2, this is how you go about getting space to install more apps.
-Once you install an app, open the settings menu
-Go to the “Applications” menu and select the “Downloaded” tab
-Select any application
-Keep in mind that this works only for applications that have been granted movability by their developer
-Android 2.2 onwards has an inbuilt option that allows users to move part of the app to the SD card. You should see an option saying “Move to SD Card”. If you do not see it, or it is grayed out, that means the developer has restricted the option. This is common for some apps like widgets
-Repeat for any number of apps you want.
Note : This provides only a little breathing space and allows you to squeeze in a few more apps. The root methods are far more effective. There's also an app called APP2SD to help with this on Google Play
.
# Rooted Users
The following methods are only for rooted users. To check if your phone is rooted, download the Root Checker app from Google Play. Rooted users have two methods of increasing storage space: Apps2SD+ and A2SD.
Apps2SD+ is similar to the inbuilt option that comes with Android 2.2. However, this enables rooted users to move more of the app to the SD card and also move ANY application to the SD card irrespective of the developer’s restrictions. There are two things that must be kept in mind while using this method. One, widgets do not work if moved to the SD card, so refrain from doing that. Two, the SD card is read after booting, so moving too many apps to the SD card (75+) will cause the phone to hang a lot at boot and reboot several times. This is done using an app. I recommend "DroidSail SuperApps2SD''
A2SD is the process of partitioning the SD card and using it as phone storage. This is by far the best method to increase storage space as a 1GB partition allows you to install 500+ apps, the ease of use and performance aside. This is available for most ROMs if they support an sd-ext script. Partitioning the SD card can be done using Minitool Partition Wizard or by ClockworkMod Recovery. The recommended partition size is 1GB as this is more than enough. The swap should be kept at 0MB or if you use the phone for gaming, at 32MB. Once the memory card is partitioned, the apps along with all their data can be moved to this partition. This can be done by two ways. DarkTremor A2SD scripts for most ROMs, or S2E for CyanogenMod. This is very easy to use and having done it myself, I have 450 apps and the phone’s performance isn’t the slightest bit affected.
Partitioned and still no space? See this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933144
Good Luck installing those 500 apps and showing off with them

hi there. hoping someone may still read this.
Any options for resolving low storage space issues on a Blade V without rooting?
I've moved literally app possible to the SD card (which isn't many).... Are photos not stored on the SD card by default? I've had to start uninstalling updates for system apps that I don't use
with "low storage" my Gmail doesn't sync...which obviously is f*cking annoying
I've had andoids before and rooted them, installed custom ROMs. Just I'd avoid it with this one due to my fear of screwing it up. Is rooting my only realistic option?

Rooting and then using the solutions in the op seems to be the only plausible option.
However, you can try a cache cleaning app. Should give you 10-15MB depending on how many apps have cached data

so just try this trick.:-
1. go to settings >applications >manage applications
2. click on any app. there u will find move to sd card option.
click on it
3. repeat step 2 with other apps also
NOTE ; Some apps can't be moved to sd card. so just try others.
if after all this also u don't have enough space uninstall some apps or root your phone.
For rooting just google "how to root (ur cell model)

If you want to increase your phone memory, you have to learn about your phones basic developments at first,like-ROOT AND UNROOT,CWM...etc...coz you are new at now...
Otherwise you can use the trick by sgyGURU for increaseing your internal memory by moving and clearing cache of the apps..

Try moving apps to sd. Without rooting Samsung should letnyou move some of the apps to sd. Also, move everything you have, including pictures from whatsapp and whatever to SD in order to free up more internal space, since only on it can apps be installed.
"I only have Facebook and Messanger". It's like you said i have 2 apps worth almost 1GB.
Use alternative for those 2, use facebook via browser.
If you really love those apps than install facebook with messanger built in by Zonik to save space
