Hi guyz, i m using Dell XCD35 and i wanted to know what is 'battery calibration'
and which ROM has best battery life?
Sent from my Blade using XDA App
Here you can read about battery calibration.
Ginger Stir Fry b19+ or CyanogenMod 7 Nightly 160+ have both good battery life.
In the past GSF used to be better at this but now it is the same battery wise.
You should visit modaco forum as well... you will find an amazing number of ROM flavours. WBAW is doing a great job there with his gsf series, presently gsf26.
Also try Simple stir fry for a longer battery life.
You should also try BURSTLAM thread where in he comes up with kernel v2.5.2 which improves performance and battery

Can you guys tell me what is the best rom considering battery life? Preferably 2.1 or 2.2.
At moment i am using SP-FroYo v1.1 AOSP and its not so great with battery life.I was using before stock 1.6,so i that just how 2.1/2.2 behave?

Its maybe 10% better than SP-FroYo but its far from stock 1.6.Is someone considering to fix this or we just have to deal with that.
What ROM should i use for little battery drain ?
3 days with 20% right now using froyobread. Normal use, WWW little gamING calls and sms. With floyo i got the same

I have the WIFI connection problem with the FroyoBread, i mean i can't connect to wireless networks...but i will sacrifice if the ROM is not draining so much battery.
Mine has some issue in floyobread v12 battery drain...but over all its a best custom rom that i try from many others...but if can make it very less drain in battery it would be 100%..
please update info with last roms...which is best battery drain rom at the moment? gingerDXv15, GingerXperiav007 or gingerCyBorgv003?are froyo-based roms cheaper on battery than gingerbread-based roms?
i'm using fxp rom with their oc'ed kernel and i lost only 4% in cca 14 hours
which one is fxp?
I used gingercyborg yesterday so far the battery is good but some bugs i encounter. Today im using gingerdx v15 is installed the module of dx. I used smart ass gov.. so far i have problem in battery draining.

Hi, this is my second day with ZTE Blade, and I want to know which is the best custom ROM for having great performance and great battery life.
Thanks!

Thanks, I'll try one of these
I think you could try both and then see for yourself what suits you better.

Any ideas what the best rom with best battery life for ics is for G2? Id prefer ics or above. I just rooted my moms g2 and put cm9 on it version 3, she loves it but I want to know if there is a better one with good battery life. I ordered her an anker and will calibrate when it gets in.

I used the ics sense ROM sabsa prime (v12 with sense 4a and therefore no landscape mode, since v13 it has sense 4.1 with landscape) and i got up to 2d battery life with stock battery.
Activated mobile internet and wlan only when needed, wrote some sms per day and did a few calls every now and then.
So i really can recommend this ROM (battery life for the new v14 i cant tell)
Greets Vauvenal7

If you want best battery life you're probably going to have to go with ICS because that's stable so we don't know what may be affecting battery life on JB ROMs at the moment, also Sense is heavy and bloated so go with AOSP or CyanogenMod. Having said that I'm running Andromadus CM10.1 build 16 and am at 26% with 5 days 20 hours without a charge, so basically go for a ROM which feels good at low clock speed (and yes, not overclocked, if you really want to have good battery life you're not gonna want to go above stock clock speed).
No "Best rom threads" as pointed out in Guide Sticky

I´ve tried AOPK, OMNIrom and CM10.1.3 and CM11 and for me the best battery performance I got was from CM 11, battery life is great.
I found AOSB n sensonic having best battery life.. Bt battery life depends on ur usage. 3g, wifi, music, videos n calls. I do a lot chatting on whatsapp n 3g all day on. Used 2 get more than a day battery life. Nw shifted 2 a tw rom for a change..

the ROM with the best battery life that i have tried is DITTO3 v4.1 (android 4.4.2). All Samsung's utilities (s.pen, multiwindows, camera etc etc..) with a more that one day of use (3G and 5/6 hours of screen).
I myself found TouchWiz ROM having better battery life. I do a lot of tweaking on aosp, probam, paranoid, but still found battery life is not so good. I tried custom kernel with undervolt. It doesn't really improve too much battery life. My sot target is 6 to 8 hours.
