Where can I download the newest PRL? - EVO 4G General

I am selling my phone on eBay.
I called Sprint to cancel my service, but I stupidly forgot to update my PRL before they turned it off.
Now it's stuck on a Verizon PRL, and I can't update it. I flashed the stock ROM, but the PRL stayed. When I make a call, it says "welcome to verizon wireless."
I've searched for the past half an hour, there's a ton of threads talking about new PRL's, but no links to actually download them.
A link to a new Sprint PRL would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You don't need the latest. This one will do just fine.

Will certain PRLs will get better reception??? Does it matter the area of the country, etc??? I have kind of poor reception in one area and am trying to figure out any work arounds.

prl does NOTHING with your reception on sprint. prl's just tell your phone what towers to roam on when you are roaming.

the only way to get better reception is with an Airave.

Weak Signal... Not acceptable

Well I left tmobile because I was having terrible service everywhere I went. Low bars, texts not going through, dropped calls, etc... I pretty much forced them to let me out of my contract.
I have been with sprint for about a week now and everything has been going well until a couple days ago... I'm thinking it may be when I installed damagecontrol 2.3, the day it came out, it seems like ever since I have been getting really week signals in places I used to get decent coverage, on top of that today I experienced problems with text messages not going through..
I really hope this is just a problem with DC's newest rom, if not and if this is the sprint service that I will be receiving, it would be hypocritical of me to stay with them.
If anybody may have any clue as to what may be going on any shed light will be greatly appreciated.
I realize that I can just install another rom, but I doubt it's the rom...
I'd try flashing just back to stock to see if it fixes any of your issues. If it does, now you know! Otherwise, I'd give Sprint a call and complain a bit to see if its anything on their end.
I really wonder just how many EVOs Sprint has sold because I got my first network overload error today - and that's from Sprint service since 2006 - and I got it three times in a row before my call connected just to be disconnected three times more.
Sometimes, updating ur PRL does wonders for service. U can also make your Evo force roam. Look it up, it might be worth a try.
yeah update your PRL
Definitely... I updated to 60667 today and I saw data speeds above 900kbps since I got the device - I hit 1.3 down pretty consistently and I'm not in a high signal area...

No it doesn't.
I get great signal, I may not get great signal bars but I don't usually lose signal and i've had one dropped call in the year i've had sprint.

New PRL version

Just did a quick *228 cos I saw someone in the Eris Section saying they got it.
Well what do ya know. it went from 518.. something to 52011. Upstate New York. No idea what PRL Version is or what this means. I think it has to do with the romeing towers or something?

Tried this, went from -86 to -92. Fewer bars too, although those don't really mean anything for this or otherwise. I switched back to 65144, db's went back up. Who knew?
In your case it looks like Verizon removed access to some towers that were near you that gave you better signal strength.
Verizon/Alltel Hybrid PRLs may stop working soon
*228 got me 52011 here too. But I originally had a Verizon/Alltel Hybrid PRL (65024) that was working absolutely great (4 bars!) until a few days ago. I live in a fringe area for Verizon. But there is an Alltel tower about 1/2 mile away. Unfortunately (for me), I just read that Verizon who in 2009 acquired Alltel, has recently unloaded Alltel, or at least a good chunk of it. The company that bought Alltel is called Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. Or ATN. This probably explains why my Alltel Hybrid PRL no longer gives me great reception. I'm back to 0 to 1 bars now. When I did the *228/2 today I had my fingers crossed...but it didn't help. Still 0 to 1 bar, and dropping calls again...
How can I check which prl I'm running. I have been having great reception so prob won't mess with anything, but curious how to check. Thanks

Details on Sprint PRL's 60678 and 1115

Here is the lehman terms about the PRL's. People who are on individual accounts will be receiving PRL 60678. It will not have 3G Data Roaming enabled.
Business and corperate accounts will be receiving custom PRL 1115, which does enable 3G Data Roaming in the six states listed below.
For all the details please read the attached files. You didn't get these from me
My FAQ for You:
1. No Samsung device has received a new PRL since 60676. We haven't received any notice of why or when Samsung devices will receve the new PRLs.
2. 60677 had numerous problems. All throughout Florida people were reportedly not getting any data at all while roaming, let alone 3G Data while roaming. So 60678 was pushed out to fix the issue, but it disabled 3G Data roaming for the time being. It may be enabled later on down the road.
3. Manually changing you PRL will not break your phone...but expect your PRL to switch back as your phone does a daily check for updates to the PRL. That is why alot of the community was switched back to 60676 after manually updating to 60677.
4. If you get any type of corperate discount on your account, you will receive the 1115 PRL.
-------------------------
National & Custom PRLs Available for FL, MI, OH, WVA, & WI
Sprint has released Custom PRL 1115 and National PRL ending xxx78 that will impact subscribers who roam in these states.
Custom EVDO PRL 1115 – Provides Business IL and CL subscribers with continued 3G/Mobile Broadband roaming services.
Consumer accounts in these states will experience a loss of 3G/Mobile Broadband roaming services. Refer to PRL Newsflash (xxx78).
Delivery of this Custom PRL is dependent on eligible Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Phones/PDAs and Mobile Broadband devices.
Devices not eligible to receive the Custom PRL will receive the National PRL and won’t have 3G/Mobile Broadband roaming in these areas.
National PRLs (10078/50578, 20278/60678 and 60778) - Removes 3G/Mobile Broadband roaming coverage for all consumer accounts with push capable phones/PDAs and Mobile Broadband devices.
This coverage was previously enabled with PRL xxx77 and is now being removed since it didn’t provide the expected on-network capacity relief.
In an effort to strike the right balance between customer experience and roaming cost of service, the 3G roaming coverage will no longer be available for consumers but available to Business customers via Custom PRL 1115.
Consumers receiving these National PRLs will still have 1xRTT data roaming service available in the impacted states.
Sprint will begin proactively pushing the PRL to subscribers with in these locations first, then to the entire base. Subscribers with Mobile Broadband devices have to accept the PRL update prompt via SMARTview to receive this release.
Hmm so no roaming and 3g for me
Weird cause the 60677 had it and they pulled it, hopefully we will get it back, btw what if u got a hold of the 1115 prl and tried putting it on the personal phone? Will it break it? lol

Let me answer a few things first:
1. No Samsung device has received a new PRL since 60676. We haven't received any notice of why or when Samsung devices will receve the new PRLs.

4. If you get any type of corperate discount on your account, you will receive the 1115 PRL.

Yes the only rish is that it will be pushed back. Nothing else.
And you're very welcome
(I'm thinking about manually updating to 1115 for the time being.)
I manually updated mine to 1115.
I'm assuming they wont be able to roll it back on Epics like mine that have the DATA & PRL update "internal/unknown error" issue, that still isnt resolved. Mine has been sitting on 60677 since I manually updated it when it came out. (No choice, since the automatic update doesnt work.)
May be it's different on other people's though.

Have you tried it recently? Mine started working last week. And that doesn't stop them from pushing a different PRL to your phone. Mine got pushed back while still getting the error.

01117 was also released to folks in MS..which added 3g from verizon when attached to sprint voice. Not sure why since that area has 3g on the towers except for north MS. It also removes the 3g roaming in FL.
Full analysis and change logs for 60678 and 01115 are up on my site at www.batonrougebroadband.info

1115 is the one you want. That is the one that enables 3G Data Roaming
I believe the 01117 was only sent to folks in southern MS. Not much of a difference between 01115 and 60678 except for the FL 3g roaming.

It wont, definately not if your running custom roms. This release has been out for about a month in these states already, and also if you call and ask for them to refresh on their end, be prepared to get framework forcecloses, not reccomended!

You wont need it, unless you travel to one of the affected states & Yes you can update while there as you are under a Heirarchy as an account type/ Corporate - Sub type/Individual, also to everyone else, if you are a BCS/Premier or Business/General Business or Public Sector account you too will get this - even if you dont receive a discout
BTW, This is not a Sprint error, rather a problem caused by higher Gods in the wireless world.

PRLs don't throttle. PRLs tell the phones in which markets they are to roam over to other services when home service isn't available, and what bands to use for home and roaming services. THAT IS IT THAT IS ALL.
PRLs do not set speeds, increase speeds, decrease speeds. If you think you get better speed because you updated your PRL, you are going to be wrong 99.9% of the time. If you think you get worse speed because you updated your PRL, you are going to be wrong 99.9% of the time.
Plain and simple.
I figured I should chime in here. I was on the 78 PRL, until I got my Airave. As soon as it was added to my account, I updated both my EVO, and fiancee's Hero. Both updated to 01115. Not sure if it's related, but could quite possibly be. Dunno

I sit here and literally shake my head when I see people post about data speeds, etc after a PRL update.....
Hello,
I don't get into the custom ROMS, I rooted so that I could perform titanium backups back in January with unrevoked 3.
At that time I had
PRI = 1.77_003
PRL 60671
I have not had any issues with the evo, nor have I performed any updates.
I was curious as to how many versions have went by so I looked at Settings > About Phone > Software Information and the
PRI = 1.77_003
**** PRL = 01115 ****
I thought that updating a prl would unroot a phone.
I didnt think that the prl was an automagic update?
Did I miss a setting?
Has anyone else had this happen.?
I dont notice anything different on the evo...
comments?
Thanks for your time

From what I have read, not all users will receive the 01115 PRL . . . depends on individual acct "type" . . . my understanding is that people that have "corporate related" accounts, ie, employees of GM, etc, that receive discounts thru their employer affiliation, get PRL 01115 . . . others get PRL 60678 for an update . . . supposedly a difference in towers being provided thru the two PRLs because of recent reduced national coverage . . . guess Sprint is maybe taking care of the "big boys" first??

PRL Ver 01115

what is this about i just updated my prl and thats the version, ive been running cm7 for a long time and this is the first time ive done prl update in awhile
I have had that prl for months.
It's just the newest prl, they switched up the numbering this time. There is a whole multi-page thread about this already.
Over on Sprintlovers community forums, there are two important threads. One is from a guy who keeps tabs on the data coverage maps, even keeps previous copies to reference back to. Well buckos, sadly the latest map shows a whole lotta grey areas = no coverage! It appears Sprint may have lost their agreement in sharing towers with Big RED (VZW)? And others get the same exact answer from Sprint that I got, when I called to ask why I have been continuously dropping down to 1x for the past 2 months now - "sorry, but there is a tower down in your area, and sorry, but we don't have any eta on when it will be repaired".
Then the other post deals with why many people have received that strange new prl 01115, while others got 60678 - Sprint was said to be giving their corporate clients a prl that gave them access to all towers possible, and the other prl had less towers in its database! Don't remember which one was which, but I had the 60678, now 60679, am not a corporate client, and still keep dropping down to 1x.

My parents, nor I, are a corporate client. Both my mom and I have evos [only mine is rooted[ but we both have the 01115 PRL, and had it since the whole discrepancy started.
All 4 of my phones have the 011115 prl.
I have been getting a lot of dropped calls in the last couple weeks or so, prl 01115. Could be from flashing different PRI for roms, but I went back to where I was before and I'm getting dropped calls.
