Roms without

Hi
I just want to ask that all of you know some roms that dont require the latest baseband 015 ? I am running floyo right now and its perfect but can someone do it for me? Roms that dont need latesr baseband thanks

Will someone reply?

There are no such ROMs. I mean, all of them will work on 006 baseband, but app2sd and other features will not work.
So why it keep rebooting after se logo? Every rom is like this except floyo 0.15 ...

just update your phone using seus, root again and you can install any rom available for x8..
But i need to root then xrecovery then i can have ale roms ?

Yeah..after updating using seus, root again, install xrecovery and then you can use any rom you want

Some ROMs include my modules. All of my modules require latest baseband, if not it will reboot the phone.
Your reboots are most likely caused by my modules. You can still use baseband 006 if you delete all /system/lib/modules/x8*.ko right after you restore/install ROM in xRecovery.
Why do you want such ROMs?

Why would you use baseband 006? It's incompatible with most roms...Flash with 015 and everything will work just fine

Lets have a head count

Alright, lets have a head count on how many users are able to unlock their bootloader and those who cant..
This would help our developers what rom to make..is it for stock or custom..
I for one expect that there are alot of users who uses custom kernel..but as time passes by,people also buy new phones and leave the x8 forum for good..
And now, more and more people are still buying new x8s..and we know that those people cant unlock their bootloader..

you should search our forum for unlock bootloader guide, an easy one by laser I suppose, and then unlock ur bootloader!
After that bump in any ics thread like feralab's and follow instructions there! If u are not scared of bricking you wont do any wrong!
Search a bit its better that way
Try brenty108 guide,, its a live thread

[Q]Defy rom development problems

PROBLUMS HAVE BEEN SOLVED BY KAYANT. THX FOR HIM
Problem comes here.
Some of my friends from our association including me want to develop roms based on AOKP or cm, and those development projects are based on STOCK kernel for it is less likely to crack and are much easier to test.
WHEN I dealt with 4.1.2, I made a mixture of it (mostly framework) with the older 4.1.1-stock kernel rom, and was finally able to boot on stock 2.3 kernel. (see my post on Defy General)
BUT HOW can I transplant/fix those 2NDBOOT ROMS to STOCK KERNEL without MAKING a 'mixture'? The method mentioned above is NOT able to make the latest 4.2 rom to boot.
ps. removing the custom kernel and change default bootmode into 2ndinit IS USELESS.

1. Don't yell
2. Forum rules require waiting more than 24 hours between bumps, so please follow that rule.
I'm sorry, I'm new here. Thank you.

Custom Kernel...

For the sake of not littering up the dev thread and the ridicule of my fellow members I have a quick question. I installed the PACman rom and j would like to flash a new kernel. I follow direction really well and I know what I need to do to flash a new kernel. But in a custom rom I would like to know its safe to do so. And maybe try and flash some mods as well.
As long and I follow the directions that the devs post I should be fine and not brick my tablet.
