My touch screen doesn't work.
Is there a way to use only all mobile's buttons to write SMS ? To assign different functions for buttons so that I'll be able to write with them...Thank you..

Is it possible to know when a user presses the on /Off button.
I can controll the others buttons, but not this one.
I want to know when the user turn on the device so that I can start my program. And stop my program when the user turn off the device..

there is a function called 'RequestPowerNotifications'
Hi,
You can use code:
Use the notification-database and events
NOTIFICATION_EVENT_WAKEUP = 11
Or try WakeApp:

(There is an English version available!)

Sorry Ove, cannot help there. But I am desperately after a tool that redirects the volume up and down buttons to MS Reader usagable page up and page down... Anyone would make a tool like that?
Morning all,
I remember reading on the wizard forums somewhere that someone changed the volume keys so that they could be used as a scroll up and scroll down function similiar to the scroll wheel on the hermes for use in PIE etc.
Is this possible on the Touch Dual. if so what would the program be and how much would it cost ?
Jeremy
It is possible for free.

Hi,
AE Button Plus should be able to do this. There's a time-unlimited trial which should do the job.
Another one may be Spb PocketPlus, which offers less possibilities for button mapping, but maybe (actually I can't remember fur sure) offers exactly out-of-the-box the mapping you are searching for (volume2scroll), whereas in AEB+ you have to make the mappings explicit (VolUp->PgUp etc).
Cheers,
jekk.
I've mapped button 2 and 3 and button 2 hold and button 3 hold to scroll up and scroll down.
The hold buttons work OK but they aren't usable as a scroller as it takes too long to activate but If I map the normal buttons to scroll up and down they still only change volume. If I map them to launch contacts they launch this fine some of the time but not always and other times they just change the volume. So no can do. This by the way is using pocket plus' built in button mapping program.

Can i change the internet explorer with what software????
Hi everyone this Junior and my touch gsm phone has bad touchscreen, I want to know if there's an app that can let me use the device without the touchscreen functionality meanwhile until I get that fixed. Thanx in advance.
You could use Mobiler to control your device from your Pc...
Or teh directional buttons to naviagte - I don't use my camera on my elfs so I have mapped that button to start menu too. (This could be done with MyMobiler as stated to use by Tito)
Is it possible to remap the volume controls so I can use them as BACK and HOME??
I am currently using GMD gesture control as I like to use apps in full screen mode but it would be alot handier for me to use the buttons as i generally use the N7 in portrait mode.
I have tried ButtonRemapper but for me it doesn't work.
Thanks in advance for any help
Got it sorted

I will write up a guide for you tonight when i am home from work.
Hello everyone.
Last time my touchscreen stopped working. I figured out that every time i use 'end call key' my touch screen is not responding.
Question : Is it possible to switch key fundions? I mean... for example i want to make 'home' key my 'end call key' and vice versa. And if it is possible then how i can do it?
Check out Button Savior. I don't know about remapping hardware keys but this can give you software controls to get around it. There are also a tonne of screen lock widgets that could work, and some ROMs even have it built into quick settings on the notification drawer or the softkeys on ICS+ ROMs.

There used to be an app called button remapper on the play store but I can't find it now!!
Well anyway you can change the button mappings by editing the kepad layout file in /system/usr/keylayout/ folder.
Their will be a few their so you will have to figure out which one to edit for your rom.
Mine is htcleo_keypad.kl.
You will need a root explorer to do this, just open with a text editor!
Make sure to write down the mappings before starting then you can swap them about.
I am not sure but I think the power button isn't changeble but you can assign power to another key.
Ah, I was wondering if I had just gone crazy because I thought I remembered an app by that name but I couldn't find it.
