Hi guys. Today I was looking for any informations about possibility to make an overscroll effect like in iPhone, and I found this. I am a little bit confused about possibility to make it in any Android ROM. So, is it possible, and if yes, could someone tell me how to do that?
install cm7
Yeap, I'll do this when it'll be finished

Hey, ive been looking around the forum (Maybe not enough) and ive yet to find a rom that just changes stuff more less "behind the scenes" i have the cookies home tab and other things here and there and im happy with the way my phone is physically.
Sooo what im asking is if there is a .rom or .roms that will just speed up my phone or make it better without changing the way it looks?
Any help is appreciated.
P.s im new to this stuff -.-
Hello,
I have a qeustion, might be a stupid one, but then again, im just a casual user.
I have used the Darkstone superRAM build, and im amazed by the speed and battery life with this build. (actualy everything with it is very good, exept the white status bar .. bleh).
What i would like to know, is there a way to convert the new Gingerbread to superRAM or is there some special coding of the kernel involved (probably)?
Also i have read something about changing android to add free, something with a host file, but cant seem to find it anymore.
And also i would like to know, with the superRAM there is a stock android build with the white status/notification bar, wich i dislike, cause black looks beter to me (dark theme wallpaper etc).
I have been reading alot of topics to change this, but most have alot of work (flashing with clockworks, wich i dont understand etc) with this, anyone a sollution how to change this?
Thanks.
Hey folks, quick question. I tried to read up on this but there is SO much information that I can't seem to get a good direction to start in.
I would like to make a market app, to change battery icons to what I have created. I would also like to make them compatible with most roms if possible and foremost, I would like the app to make a backup file within the app so users can flash back their old icons at any time and choose from different colors I have to offer.
I have read through this guide and looked at this as well. Is there something more streamlined to be able to do what I want to do or is the first guide sufficient enough? Thanks in advance, any help or input would be appreciated
I'm pretty sure to change the battery icon you need to have root access.
I would suggest having a look at the theming section of the forum, because what you wan't is what they are doing there, replacing stock icons/images and styles with custom ones.
I think there are even apps or programs to flash the themes for you
This is a trivial question but I would like to ask. In a ROM, let's say "flexreaper", there is a background -not the home screen wallpaper- that appears in some apps, in flexreaper it is a brown with yellow lines with like a halo effect on it. My question is, can you change this in the system? It has to be somewhere I just don't know where. I do know you would have to find the file in the system ans change it, so does anyone know where it is, what size it is and what format it would have to be. Thank you for your time.
Hello
You can change it using different mod. See the first post of Civato. You have different screen to choose.

Thanks, do you happen to know the path to the file to just change it manually? It's fine if you don't. Just interested in knowing is all, the mod works for now.
Is is possible to replace the animated cog that appears when an app is being launched or a network communication is taking place?
I'm an iPhone user migrating from iOS to Android. I'm enjoying all the customization freedom that Android offers, but I'm having a hard time finding information on how to edit this icon. I'm attaching an image of the concerning graphic.
Thanks in advance
You need to root your device and edit framework.jar, although i can't tell you exactly how.
Why don't you try a custom rom like cyanogenmod? Much better than the stock software and a lot more feature rich.
I just didn't know if this was achievable at all, but thanks to your message I know it's possible so now I just need to figure out how to go about it.
I'm not familiar with cyanogenmod, I'll look into it, as well as into editing the framework.jar.
Thanks for your kind reply
