I have a whole bunch of avi movie files. When I try to copy them to the gtab it says file not supported.
I select copy anyway since mobo should play anything.
Still wont let me copy them. A bit annoying. What is going on here?
Thanks
How do you copy your files, not with Kies right?
If they are over 4gb your tab won't copy them over - known limitation.

hi,
I just installed Betaplayer and it seems to work out fine. Just have one problem. When I transfer the files (like .mpg or .avi) to my "moviefolder" it only seem to work sometimes. So far I´ve only managed to move small ones. When I try the bigger files it just wont work. Why?
What happens is that the "copy and convert to mobile device format" appears and it starts to copy the file. But after a short while it just stops and starts to copy from the beginning again. And so it goes on...
I have a 1gb SD-card so I´m not out of memory.
Does anyone have a clue?
Have you tried to use a SD Card reader/writer to transfer your files ?
Thanks... it worked!
I deleted and replaced the transformers movies on my hd2 along with the TF link to launcg the movies. However now when I click the TF link it says it cannot find the movies. I can see the movies on my SD card via file explorer. How can I modify the link to locate the movies?

Are the Transformer movies in a folder named Transformers? Also is that folder on the root of the memory card and not located inside of other folders?
I had the same problem when I installed a new memory card. I put the Transformers folder inside of my Videos folder and the launcher couldn't locate the video files.
Hope it helps.
Thanks fellas. Got it. Question answered.
My tablet is running ICS (4.0.4) and when I try to copy (drag and drop) an MKV file from my PC in Windows Explorer (on Win7 Ultimate) - it gives me an error, and causes the desktop to re-spring.
I am forced to then convert the file to MP4 or other (I use RipBot) before I can copy it.
I know there are threads elsewhere on the forum about players that can play MKV - but I can't even copy it over to my device.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
why don't try to copy to the sd card directly? do you have an adapter?
another option is to install ES file explorer and it will allow you to copy files over the network
Hello rickc3k thanks for that suggestion. I do have an external micro sd reader. So that's worth a shot.

Mkv shouldn't be a problem copying. I get a warning that it might not play, but I can still copy it. Make sure your device is set to a media device, in the storage section of your tablet settings - menu option in the upper-right.

How big is the MKV file? Files over 4gbs will not copy over.
I've got MKV movies in the TF300T sdcard, the only thing that I have make it's to format my sdcard to NTFS.
Without problem.
I've got a Lexar 32GB - Class 10 as Sdcard, and I use MX Player Codec (ARMv7 NEON) & MX Payer Pro.
Hey guys,
I just bought a new Galaxy S4 I9500 [Baseband Version - I9500JKUAMD9 Build Number - JDQ39.I9500XXUAMDE] + SanDisk 64gb microSD card.
I have a really strange issue with my music files, they are not recognized by the stock music player or any other player except VLC.
The mp3 files are on my external memory, folder 'music'.
The strange thing is that the players recognize only 10 out of 1700 songs, BUT when I'm browsing with ES browser to the mp3 files and renaming them, the music players recognize the renamed mp3s.
I've tried transferring the files by just copying them to the sd card and by using Kies, the same problem.
Can anyone tell me why do the music player recognize the songs only after renaming them?
Sounds more like a problem with the naming of the songs. Do a batch rename maybe.

I'm not sure but deleting them all and copying again might help. also you can try an app named "scan media" for recognizing media files.

I'm having the same issue.
EDIT: I found a fix! Go to root of ext card. Make folder named Media. Drop your music and picture folders in that folder. Should now be seen in the players.

I have a LOT of music on my phone (40 GB) I try to be meticulous about labeling the files so I can find them quickly.
Some of my files were mislabeled. These are all on my external micro sD card. It won't let me change the files with my phone connected to the computer and opening via file explorer. I drag the file on to my desktop them rename. Then I delete the file on the SD card then drag the new renamed and/or new ID3 Tag bag into the SD card. The process goes with no problems. I then restart my phone. For some reason the file is relabeled properly but stays in the same position? Any help please. Also, any help why I can't rename directly on the device using file explorer or even change the ID3 tag? Was never this way with any other phone?
Thank You!
I forgot to mention I have the ZE551KL model my computer is Windows 10 operating system the files are in the correct order when I go into the file manager program is just the Music app that came with the phone is where the problem is.
