I deleted and replaced the transformers movies on my hd2 along with the TF link to launcg the movies. However now when I click the TF link it says it cannot find the movies. I can see the movies on my SD card via file explorer. How can I modify the link to locate the movies?

Are the Transformer movies in a folder named Transformers? Also is that folder on the root of the memory card and not located inside of other folders?
I had the same problem when I installed a new memory card. I put the Transformers folder inside of my Videos folder and the launcher couldn't locate the video files.
Hope it helps.
Thanks fellas. Got it. Question answered.

I have a whole bunch of avi movie files. When I try to copy them to the gtab it says file not supported.
I select copy anyway since mobo should play anything.
Still wont let me copy them. A bit annoying. What is going on here?
Thanks
How do you copy your files, not with Kies right?
If they are over 4gb your tab won't copy them over - known limitation.
I cannot find where my videos that I took with the Note. I searched all folders from the internal and external sd card but I cannot find them. I can play the videos fine but I want to transfer the videos to my computer for editing.
Anyone know?
Thanks.
If it is internalSD = /mnt/sdcard/DCIM/camera
ExternalSD=/mnt/sdcard/external_sd/DCIM/camera
cheer!

Where is the mnt folder ?
I looked in both the root of the sdcard and the internal device but I don't see this folder. I also set Window 7 to see hidden files/folders but I still don't see the folder mnt
I did this by connecting the usb cable to the computer.
Please advice. Thanks.
Its in the DCIM, either on you phone storage or on the external card,to find it out just open your Camera, not the Camcorder but the Camera, go to the settings scroll down until you see/Storage/touch the storage and select where you want your photos and videos to be stored, mine is on the external card in the DCIM/CAMERA.

If you open the File Browser, and look for this similar file path on the phone.

Thank you very much. I finally found the DCIM folder in the internal storage and was able to find my videos. Strange, I could have sworn I checked all the folders before. Anyway, thanks again.
I had the same problem.
Even mediafiles imported via KIES are stored in the DCIM folder.
My tablet is running ICS (4.0.4) and when I try to copy (drag and drop) an MKV file from my PC in Windows Explorer (on Win7 Ultimate) - it gives me an error, and causes the desktop to re-spring.
I am forced to then convert the file to MP4 or other (I use RipBot) before I can copy it.
I know there are threads elsewhere on the forum about players that can play MKV - but I can't even copy it over to my device.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
why don't try to copy to the sd card directly? do you have an adapter?
another option is to install ES file explorer and it will allow you to copy files over the network
Hello rickc3k thanks for that suggestion. I do have an external micro sd reader. So that's worth a shot.
AirDroid .
Trimis de pe Motorola Defy
Mkv shouldn't be a problem copying. I get a warning that it might not play, but I can still copy it. Make sure your device is set to a media device, in the storage section of your tablet settings - menu option in the upper-right.

How big is the MKV file? Files over 4gbs will not copy over.
I've got MKV movies in the TF300T sdcard, the only thing that I have make it's to format my sdcard to NTFS.
Without problem.
I've got a Lexar 32GB - Class 10 as Sdcard, and I use MX Player Codec (ARMv7 NEON) & MX Payer Pro.
So I transferred a bunch of music to the SD card in a folder named Music. Same with some movies in mkv format. When I go to access those folders in the phone with ES file explorer, the folders are showing blank with nothing in it, but if I plug the phone into the computer, they show up in file explorer.
I'm coming from a HTC Evo 3d so there is a little learning curve.
Maybe I can help
Maybe your phone just isn't detecting the files yet. Have you tried rebooting?

Also check to see if you can see them with SManager. For some reason I can see items there that I couldn't with ES
I save Songs and Videos in Songs Folder and Videos Folder created in MicroSd Card inserted in my Samsung M30s.But they disappear after some time. How to keep them secure in these folders?
Maybe you have some service enabled on your phone that wipes memory from files not used for a certain period of time, or moves them to the cloud. You know your phone best yourself. Did you connect the microSD as external memory or internally?
Which might be that services? Can you name some for an example?I connected the MicroSd as External Memory.
Look first in this application, where you have selected a directory in the external memory.
You can also move files to another location on the microSD yourself before they disappear in the location where they disappear.

Thank you ze7zez.First I shall try moving these files to already existing folders in the Sdcard watch whether they are disappearing.Afterwards I shall report the result here.
Do not use directories that the system or applications have posed.
Create a DATA directory yourself and move files to it.
Thank you ze7zez,
As you advised,I moved the Video files to the Movies folder and the Audio files to the Music folders. You know these folders are designated by the Phone itself whien I inserted the MicroSd Card for the first time. Then I watched for a day to see whether the files are disappeared from these folders.I found that those files are there still in these folders. Now I want to know why these files vanish from the folders created by me?
Describe /the actions you perform/name the applications you use/ that place files in directories where they later disappear.
I used File Manager Plus Application to move video files to Videos Folder and Audio files to Songs Folder. These Videos and Songs Folders were created by myself in the Sdcard. And these files were moved from the Send Anywhere Folder in the Sdcard itself. And to my dismay this Send Anywhere Folder itself was also created by myself in the Sdcard. Also the files in this folder remain in tact. They won't disappear.
So did the files disappear from the "Send Anywhere" directory?
What application placed the files in "Send Anywhere"?
The files did not disappear from the Send Anywhere Folder. They are still there since 3 days. This SendAnywhere directory got these files by transferring from another phone using Send Anywhere App.
