This is how I use my EEE Pad - Eee Pad Transformer General

Watched this right after the thread about the Transformer vs. Toddler with drumsticks. Seems they could be related threads. LOL

Awesome! One of my favourite Cinematic Orchestra songs, and a sweet job on the drums too - I also liked the head mounted camera.
I am aiming to do this with my guitar setup, so it's cool to know there are other musicians using their TF for things like this, too.

+1
Its almost too coincidental...

Me too

Bad @$$ job on the kit. Loved it.
I play some over sized Bonham Ludwig's myself.
Still looking for a good drum kit app for the TF. Would be cool to do a "Moby ****" Solo on the kit and than switch to the TF for a cool timbali interlude.
and than back to the kit.

thanks everyone for your feedback!

XD I use my eeepad for the same thing minus the drums and add a guitar

no kids here. I don't think I want kids. I wouldn't want anything to happen to my transformer.

Here's a new one sans the seizure inducing camera motion.

Nice drumming but I was distracted with the fact it sounded like you were sitting on the mic this time.

U play very well, glad u shared this with us,

Yeah the mic sucks real bad. It's a gopro. The mic is tuned for use outdoors (in high wind) so it didn't surprise me that it sounded bad. I'm working on a better way to do this using my drum mics and layering the original track on top of the drums w/ video editing s/w.

time for some good feedback

I just wanna post how much I love this phone... yes its got minor issues as all phones will but its great..
I wanted to show some love for the vibrant and post some things I love about it.. This is a no hate just love thread...
I LOVE the super amoled screen, I've stopped people in there tracks by showing them avatar on it...
I love the awesome gpu that handles games flawlessly. Games like Nova.... Awesome. .....
And I also love the HD video it records... very nice...
SO, what do you love about your vibrant?
Agreed. There is a download if the free demo in the Incredible thread. That game looks AMAZING on the Vibrant!
Here is another link from the X forums. Check below in this thread for a mirror download link. This is nit the one I used this morning, but should work the same I think.
http://ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7273599#post7273599
Ive been a HUGE supporter of the G1 since the day it came out. I rooted it, changed this and that and in the end I rooted the Vibrant only to remove some of the stock apps.
As it sits I have no need/desire to change anything else. It simply rocks.
Internal Memory - Enough no need to Apps2SD
Video Playback - Common it plays Divx/Xvid as is
Screen - Don't even get me started
Battery - Lasts the entire day
Speed - Zooom, Zooom
TouchWiz, I personally like it now. I know two people with Droids and they both think the way it works is slick and one even wants it on his phone. Sure its kinda iPhoneish, but who cares. My car is carish too like the others on the road. LOL
3.5mm Jack..... woooooohooooo I have it plugged into my home audio and its shaking the house with my sub. I mean common carry tunes around with you and use a regular jack opposed to some adapter.
Its light and fits in my pocket just great. Had it out yesterday and somebody asked is that an iphone and I simply replied "The iPhone wishes it was this phone."
Haha. That last line got a pretty god chuckle from me.
I love the screen, I love the performance, I love the style, heck I even love TouchWiz3.0. Having the 3.5mm headphone jack built-in and lock-screen music controls are just icing on the delicious Vibrant cake.

All black wheels would be a mistake. He already has black tint and blacked out tail lights. If you want it to look like the bat mobile then go ahead but otherwise it would just look goofy. I have a 76 myself, you got a pretty clean ride there.

Very nice video... But 85 IROC? lol Thats a Sport Coupe nose. Nice car though. I've had 7 camaros, and 3rd gens are my favorite. I know just about every year indicator of em
First of all thank you, and I'm glad you have respect for the third gen Camaro. Yeah someone called me out on that on youtube too, your right it looks like it is a sport coupe. But don't judge a book by its cover and the deal is the front clip has been replaced as well as the ground effects removed. Like I told him it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it weren't I have also run the vin # and does say its an Iroc-Z. You won't see any '85 Iroc that looks like this one.

Sweet ride!! Not trying to steal any thunder here... but here is a 720p video test of my Camaro I did a while back when I got my new G2.
Gen 2's are my favorite... then 1, 3, 5, 4... just for the record though... you seem to have a great deal for a first car... my first car was a 1985 virgin maker... lol... you get a 1985 panty dampener (at least as far as first cars go)...

Very nice car I had an 87 IROC 350 that I rebuilt. I had other 3rd gens but not IROC's. I did help put an entire 4th gen into an 89 IROC *89 is the absolute best IMO, best options compared to older, and newer took features away* check out that build:

We also put the interior in
Anywho.... not to post car stuff on a phone forum

That is so sick man, haha. I'm in a third gen forum but don't ever go to it really for some reason. But I'm doing a swap to a built to snot new 406. I'm going to do a lil frame by frame of the swap too. Even though it's not probably as extensive as your swap And yes the G2 has a great camara and I have even filmed skating which you have to have a good camara and it did pretty good for moving video to, which I think is a true test.
Anyway always great to talk to a fellow Camaro enthusiest and hope to hear more from ya!

Now you have your Xoom....

... whats the first things you'll be doing with it...?
what apps to be installed?
what accessories will you be purchasing?
I stuck on vPlayer, google maps, google body
sent across a few movies, a few high def pics, and familiarised myself with the layout of stuff - I keep losing the 'back' button and also sadly only just realised the 'home' button is like a little house (not an UP arrow which I thought for awhile!)
However, I now think I should get myself one of the portfoilo cases (unless anyone has a better alternative?) to keep it tidy and it doubles up as a stand by the looks of it which will be handy.
also will be wanting to invest in a bluetooth retro gamepad/wii controller and try out PSX/n64 games - would love to be able to play some of those again without having to set up my old consoles!
will try and dig out an old bluetooth keyboard and see if that works too perhaps
oh and a HDMI cable
For me I have stuck a load of app onto it, messed around with the browser, stuck a few HD vids on there, and messed around with the home screen. I tell you what, the browser is phenomenal, can't believe how good it is, changing the plugins to on demand only does help massively. Battery life seems good so far, but who can tell this far in, mine came with 66% charge on it, charged to max and im still going this mlorning, done a help of a lot on it too, played a few game whilst listening to the radio at the same time (tunein radio), watching you tube, and watching my videos. Im thinking of getting a case for it too, but I really want a dock for it aswell, im thinking that speaker HD dock might go nicely with it.
Got the portfolio case as it doubles as a stand too... grabbed from Currys before it was on the shelves

How is that motorola portfolio case ? Doesn't it make it too thick and heavy ?
First apps where Angry birds RIO / Samurai vengeance HD / Mobo player / Quick office Pro HD
Now i need to find a good and nice racing game for it + a nice case (Portfolio)
Nothing special. Just putting it through all the use cases of my I pad and remembering how cool it is to multitask again. Vendetta online is pretty cool as well
i just wanna try gtalk as I have not used it before, anyone wants to try it out with me send me a pm with your email and I shall add away

I'd have to dig up the review (I think I read it here) but if I recall correctly the Motorola Case is terrible! Roughshod plastic that has the potential to scratch the outside casing.
I initially wanted a to get a gelskin rubber casing, but probably will end up with a portfolio case. I would just read the accessories sub-forum.
Got the case with me at work but not the xoom - so I don't know how heavy it makes it or anything yet - not till I get home tonight - but the case itself doesn't seem very heavy at all really - I can't imagine it adds that much too it.
i like the portfolio case, doesn't add much weight to the tablet at all. The outside feels good and the inside doesn't feel like it would scratch the back of the XOOM at all

Group Discussion:Showing off your zoom to ipad owners

So, because there's been a forum lull (in my opinion) lets talk, what is the best way to stick it to ipad and ipad 2 owners who don't have xooms?
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
I wouldn't own an iPad but IMHO, there isn't an Android tablet that just blows it out of the water. I'm sure I'll get blasted for not being a die-hard fanboi but honestly, I can see why the iPad is very appealing to the average consumer that isn't into the hacking/modding scene.
With that being said, these are the things that keep me loyal to Android that iOS can't/won't offer:
Google and Manufacturer support of the development communicating (AOSP, "fastboot oem unlock", etc)
True multi-tasking
Everything is OTA, no desktop software
Deep Google integration (Gmail, Gtalk, Docs, Books, Music, etc)
Tethering without rooting
Show them literally any widget, theme or customization... And then blow their minds with that whole sd card thing (they won't know what it is at first)
Well I whip out my 1TB HDD and OTG and play a movie from my HDD. I could also hook up my PS3, N64, Xbox controller and play emulators. If we're outside I just whip out my BT OBD11 sensor and Torque app to troubleshoot my car.
I need to figure out why mine lags like a bastard every time I attempt to show it off to someone, but will be buttery smooth when I'm using it by myself.
I sit there customizing widgets while pulling live data from others. They look and say, " what's that? " Android Xoom... Buddy. Then they say how are you online? I pull out the old trusty EVO with Cyanogenmod and say " It goes where I go " thanks to Android. They usually have this look of awe. Inside I have this feeling of satisfaction.

Maybe you should overclock. Yeah that happened to me once before but they were still impressed by its capabilities.
Ipad/Ipad 2 has it's place as many consumers want functionality right out of the box with little tweaking. The interface is very user friendly and there are a slew of accessories for it. I prefer Android tablets for customization and the fact that if we were just going on specs alone it is a more capable machine. I wish we had more photo apps though.
I can't be bothered to overclock and so forth, as I said it works fine when I'm using it. But for instance, when I needed to review a PDF in the bank the entire thing ground to a halt and sat there mocking me while the teller ranted on about young people and paper.
As for the launcher, I do like the stock one and so far the replacements designed for phones are somewhat lacking compared to it.

You should consider ADW ex...it's made for tablets and gives you up to seven screens, lots of customization and it's really smooth.
I constantly show myself my Xoom to impress myself.
Then I whip out my iPad2 while my Xoom is choking on some random process.
Then I show myself my Xoom again.
Then I put them both down and play with a Touchpad.
I have yet to find an iPad owner who's actually excited by what I have to a show them.
Apple product users enjoy exactly how those things are marketed. They were sold on them before they were even made.

i agree that ipad owners are happy with their device... they also like the smell of their own behind (similar to the south park ep where they use hybrids) this is because of their continual claim that it is the best no matter the pitfalls... android is definitely not the bug free product however the customization and development and the openness on the whole model of google makes you place a little more trust... even if they may screw you to your face, apple screws you behind your back... so to speak

Touchless Control Doesn't Work in Crowded Environment

How does Touchless Control work for you guys when you're around a few other people who are chatting in the background?
I was trying to show it off to my cousin who owns a Note II but looked like an idiot talking to my phone lol. No music or TV was playing, just about 5 others chatting in the background in the same room as me.
Is there a way to re-learn it to pick my voice up better in crowded environments?

I'll try and re-learn it in a very quiet environment but speak quite loud to see if that makes a difference.
Normally I only ever use it when I'm by myself to get things done but it would be nice to show it's prowess in front of others.

I use mine often in the car too. I just place it in one of those windscreen phone holders then ask it whatever I need to. Sometimes, after around 50mph, it struggles to hear me due to the in cabin road noise. This is on a 2005 Ford Mondeo. Don't think I'd bother setting it up in my Nissan Silvia Spec R lol.
