With the camera (kind of) working on the Bravo from Defy stock firmware, how hard do you think it will be to get it working on CM7/MIUI? I know it is still not simple because the ROMs are AOSP, but it is definitely possible, right? At least we are closer than we were before.
in MIUI I can record video w/ audio and picture no problem, the camera can see the picture and everyrthing okay but when it goes to save it to the mem card it is corrupted and says it can't find the camera, perhaps rdanner can help me with that i mad ethis much progress so far by using a com.motorola.camera.jar and com.motorola.camera.xml
copying media profiles aswell... not sure if theres another jar that does the mem card function or something It puts the file in the right folder its' just corrupt and fails
(Not on video, video is 100% and 3rd party cam app works)

Hi,
Sorry in advance if this is already on the forum but I have been looking for ages and cant find it.
I changed the sound quality of the voice recorder to some silly low rate as I was running out of memory. I now have a 2gig mem card but cant remember or find how to change it back... I think I must have used a bit of trial software which has now run out and gone....
Any ideas?
Chears,

Dont use built in voice recorder - its rubbish. Use Notem 1.21 much better sound quality and uses much less space as it records in mp3.
Get it here http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=626
Thanks for the lead but I ideally just want to change the quality back to 44.1khz and on the storage card.
I tried this program and for some reason it wouldnt record... just sat there....

Sorry forgot to say - needs to be installed on main memory to work.
For standard recording format - goto settings\input\options and you can change the quality to 44.1Khz
It's amazing isn't it. i was looking for it for hours (badly obviously) and I just found it, thought I would put up here for others and you just have.
Thanks anyway Mark.

NoteM it's a really great prog!! For mp3 recording I've used the eye-candy resco's one.. But surely this beat it!! It seems integrated with the ROM's one!! and u can actually install even in the storage folder (the first time u open it it displays the playlist screen: u simply have to click close in the file menu  ) another really cool thing is that it converts from mp3 to wav, perfect to make sms tones..
A must have!!

Is it possible to have videos stored on the SD card appear in the video manager interface in the cube? It's strange and frustrating that music files on the SD card will appear in the audio manager, but not pictures of videos, at least that I can find. am I missing something?
Hi, i´m new in this, but:
move your video files to a folder called DCIM\100MEDIA.
It's what I did, and it works.
Probably there is a better way, but i'm a beginner.

Thanks. this works for my pictures, but if I put videos into that folder, I still can't see them. do I need different sub-folders for pics and vids?
I moved my videos from my old nokia to that folder and I can see them in the video app in te cube. Mi software is the Vodafone spanish version, may be differences. Sorry.
What format are your videos in? Probably only works for formats that the camera will take movies in. i.e. not if they're .avi's.

Hi all...
1st off, a very loud and honorable thanks to all programmers in here, appreciate the work and effort you guys put into the world of programming and exploring the horizons of logical thinking with binary numbers and so on... kudos..
Now to my 'issue'... I dont know if others here in the forum have had the same problem, but when i listen to music, I cant take photos at the same time... it turns off the music player (the built in normal music player) when I push for taking the photo from something.. dont know why this happens... does anyone know of any .cabs to fix this..? would be nice if someone could try to solve this problem...
I think the reason it turns off the music player might be because the phone struggles to run both at once - the camera app lags if you've got anything else taking up processor time.
You can play music in CorePlayer and still use the camera app though, but there is some lag involved.
HTC never put any effort into driver development to take advantage of the graphics chip. That's why the camera is so slow to begin with. All the processing is done by the processor itself which is why everything else cuts out when you use the camera. It's to allow the device to allocate resources to the camera application.
yeah, still alot HTC needs to do wit the touch HD.. think it still has alot to learn..
Guys,
Well, I know this is totally out there, but perhaps it's also to prevent people from masking the shutter sound?
Cheers.
Honest guys, I searched and searched here and all over the internet
I've had my HD2 for about 6 months now. I'm not up to your level of tweakiness with mobile phones
Just upgraded to the latest O2 ROM - 1.72.xxx ?
AND I realise posting new threads on here is faux pas in the extreme, but I spent hours searching and I have a headache plus maybe a small deathwish now!
Please, please, please can someone tell me the answers to;
1. What format do my music videos have to be in, on my storage card, to pick them up in the Photo's and Video's album? I've converted them to mp4 but still I'm told there are no videos found
2. My previous phone was a POS LG Renoir, however, compared to my HD2 it had one redeeming quality in that any photo I looked at I could select 'Send' and Bluetooth was an option. On my HD2 Facebook, Messages etc etc are the only options. Up until 6 months ago I used the bluetooth on my Renoir alot to send work photos. Is there anyway to enable this 'right click' function?
3. I signed up for this phone for 2 years, thinking it was the bees knees. Colleagues at work all waited for the HD2 Desire, and it looks fantastic. I'd ditch WinMo in a heartbeat to have Android - but after reading 100 pages of the 415 available....Is Android a viable option yet? (not taking away the extremely hard word the developers have put into it)
Sorry for asking such newbie questions but as I said originally I just can't find the answers on here (probably because of my ineptitude with using the search function)

Not sure if it helps but a work around for sending pics via bluetooth is using file explorer instead of album providing of course you know where your pics are and you know what the pics is called unless you have renamed them you can then press and hold the pic until menu pops up the first option is send via bluetooth
Not sure about the Vids did you save them to your storage card/video folder?
Just read up a little there is another option, you can use the pictures and video app which is in the multimedia folder in start menu this will show what pics you have on device or SD card with thumbnails again hold the pic and select bluetooth from pop up menu
Again regarding Vids I had several Vids which were stored in my DCM folder and did not show up in Album/Video I just moved them to the video folder on my SD card and now they show up so check that out
Thanks ozmoran for your reply
The bluetooth thing works a treat, can find pics by thumbnail and send by bluetooth. Much better than the work around I had figured using file explorer
Not as easy as having bluetooth being a send option from albums though (just in case anyone can make this work!!)
As for vids showing under albums, I did what you suggested, even reformatted the card. But unfortunately for me it still doesn't work. When I use the album 'search' bit the phone sees two files briefly (two music vids I've encoded to mp4) but then disappears them and says 'no photos or videos found'. I can browse to them normally and play them, in fact they look fantastic. Video I record on the phone shows up in Albums ok, so I guess it's a problem with the way I've encoded mine. I'll do a gspot comparison tomorrow and try to figure out where I'm going wrong
Really annoying though, I wanted the HD2 to be like an iPhone 4 but with the capability of making phone calls!! hahahaha!
Balders
oh well half the problem solved
I had the same prob with Avatar the file was too big I think I re encoded it and now I can watch it but only with media player and it wont show up in my vids in album either
You could always make a shortcut to your vids and put them on a quicklink I suppose
all depends how fast you want to find those vids eh
let me know how it goes
Ps this is much better than the other one and you know it ha ha
I record video and save directly to SD card (because my phone memory is exhausted). After filming is finished, I want to reopen it to see it but in the photo folder I don't see the video just recorded. In the memory card, I saw the video I just returned in the form of the file FSCKxxxx.REC. I clicked but my phone said it could not be opened or there was no software to open. I tried connecting the SD memory card to the computer but I couldn't open it either. I was really sad because I really liked those videos, so I was looking forward to someone showing me how to recover those video files. I remember during the recording, the phone automatically powered off once
