i m using hd2 from last one month....its tmous hd2...but now i m facing a very big problem with memory card slot...when i put my memory card in memory card slot...memory card not comes out its totally gone inside in slot and phone shows only phone memory free space..no memory card inserted.......then i have to eject mmc with a pin....plz help me...
I hope you're using MMC to refer to memory card, because I don't think you can use an MMC with HD2.
otherwise, inspect the slot and see if there's dirt inside that maybe blocking the pins. if there's not, send it to be serviced.

When I insert SD card (512MB) into SD slot, it can be read but can't write. (I also tested with others SD card). When I use MMC card, it can be read and write. I've hardreseted, but nothing change.
Help me pls!!
Your SD card might be in write-protect mode. When looking at the card in a way that the lable can be properly read, you'll find a small "switch" on the upper left hand side of the card.

I Did Also get this problem once...my magician can read sd card but cant write on it...
The setuation was...i lend my 1gb sandisk card to one of my friend for 2 days...so my sd card port was keep empty....and those two days a lot of dust entered on that port as well as i accdently keep my magicial a whole night just under my aircondition in naced body.... without any lather cover i mean...
after two days when i get returened my sd card i found out that its not writable any more...firstly i thought my friend did something to the card...but when i tried with other 256 and 512 model i got the same result...
then after some reserch i managed to make it work again...
what i did was..
1) cleaned all the dust in the port with compressed air...
2) gave some hot air to the whole magician...Hi..Hi..
3) i copyed some file from sd card to phone memory while proccesing the copying i ejected the card a severel time...

I actually forgot to mention what "sajib" just said. It could be dust in the card and/or in your SD card socket. He already explained how to clean the SD card socket. To clean the SD card contacts use isopropyl alcohol or rubbing alcohol. CD/DVD cleaning liquid is also ok since its a diluted form of isopropyl alcohol.

My 16gb sandisk micro sd card is no longer being recognized. I booted my HTC HD2 in Android and mounted the sd card to transfer pics to my pc. Just then I got a call coming in and the phone immediately became unresponsive. I kept getting the force close message but I couldn't stop it (it seemed to be in a loop) So I unsafely disconnected the phone from the pc, took out the battery and rebooted it. It started up in windows, but when I went to check for the sd card it could no longer be found. I pull out the card put it back more than twice, and yet the phone failed to recognize my memory card.
Please help me guys
put the sd card into a card reader, connect to your pc and if if its recognised there, it might be a dying card I've lost 1 16GB and an 8GB in 18 months with my hd2
If the pc recognises the card with no error save the date, reformat to primary partition fat 32 using Easeus free edition, also try the phone without the card
Thank u
Hey ..I really do appreciate the time u took to respond. Funny I was thinking the same thing....I broke my old card reader, now I have to get another another on from Amazon.com. As soon as I can lay my hands on one that is gonna be my first move.
Again, thanks a bunch.
P.S
Sadly I feel like an idiot for not backing up my sd card...(more than 3000 photos on there )

After trying the SD Card thru a card reader and if it still doesn't work/recognize it - then your mobile (hd2's)windows is corrupted - coz the same happened with me thrice and ultimately I took it back to the HTC service centre and they re installed the windows 6.5 and since then everythings is working normally and there is no problem with the SD Card anymore, but your old card becomes thrash and you'll have to get a new card :0)

Same here. Lost a sd-card recently but probably due to my own fault.
The card was difficult to get out of the reader (Yup, it seems there is some tolerance on the size) so I had to use some small tweezers.
I finally managed to get it out without any visual damage but after inserting it in the HD2 it couldn't see it anymore, neither in the cardreader afterwards.
What I think is that I had physically bent the card and broke the connections to the actual memory chip.
Some good advice on memory cards and I can't stress this out enough especially for dedicated photo equipment. Instead of buying a 16GB card buy 2 x 8GB and from a known seller and known brand.
The best and probably worst experience example that I can give is from a couple who were on their honeymoon and lost all of their pictures because of a el-cheapo 8GB memorycard.
For a phone it is something else but I made a custom out of it to create a map on my c-drive called sd-card phone. Ok it is not a every week copy but it is handy to have the data on my pc and on my phone.

compare it to another micro SD card, sounds like its buggered, look for signs of damage, you say you use a pin to remove card, do you push it in then it pops out, or do you kind of pick it out
hey guys, Just got my self a samsung focus i917. I have a question though
I started the phone for the first time with out a memory card. No I have put a sandisk micro SD card but it is not getting recognised. I also did a hard 3 button reset but still the memory card is not recognised. Any ideas as to what I can do?
Also is the memory card recoverable?
And help appreciated.
Thanks.

How much GB you see in Settings/About? If you see around 8 GB then most likely the card is faulty. Another reason you don't see the card is a faulty memory slot assembly.
I've build the Memory Card section in the Focus Wiki by reading the whole memory card thread so I can tell you that if a card isn't recognized it's most likely the card is damaged. But, it might not be, might just be totally incompatible.
Now, if it's not faulty, and the card is actually good (there are some chances), it should be okay as the phone didn't see it and thus didn't "lock" it.
To make sure, either format it in a Nokia Symbian phone (Series N or Series E - eg N9x: N95, N97 or E7x: E71 etc) that supports microSD memory cards or in a camera.

The memory card shouldn't affect device performance at all except if apps data is stored on it, only then you will be under the write speed limitation of the memory card.
About the temperature of the device, this is usually caused by higher frequencies of the CPU which is because of the operations done on the device which is usually unrelated to the memory card.
