May I know what the the official bootloader version in CHT9100 that using the latest official ROM (with radio rom 1.50.08.11)?

Newest radio version?

What is the newest radio version? I heard reports of there being one on new N1s but not released yet.
I believe the latest is 32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2.
How is '32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2' different from the one posted on Cynogen's site? Which one is better?

[RADIO] HTC Thunderbolt Radios [PG05IMG.zip] (Updated: 20 Oct 2011)

Code:
/* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or the end of the world. Please do some research
* if you have any concerns about flashing a radio before flashing it!
* YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the
* finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. */
How to Flash:
In order for this to work, the HTC Thunderbolt needs to be S-OFF. Flashing the radio with a corrupt file or interrupting the flash, can brick the device, please proceed with caution.
Download the your choice of radio for the HTC Thunderbolt.
Make sure the filename is PG05IMG.zip exactly or it will not work and copy it to the same folder as adb (the /platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder).
Connect the HTC Thunderbolt to the computer via USB.
On the computer, open terminal and run the following commands:
Code:
adb push PG05IMG.zip /sdcard/PG05IMG.zip
adb shell md5sum /sdcard/PG05IMG.zip
NOTE: The md5 should match up the provide the original download location. If not, redownload & try again.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
The HTC Thunderbolt will reboot & usually boot into fastboot. Pressing the Power button will put the device into the bootloader.
The bootloader will scan for the radio update. Once it finds the update, select Yes.
Allow the bootloader to finish flashing the updated radio, and reboot the HTC Thunderbolt normally.

I believe this is par for the course for the leaked radio
Should my software number be 1.12.605.9? Or 1.13.605.7 like it says in the first post? I'm almost 99% sure I ran the pgm05 file through hboot. Please advise.

whats the difference between radio and lte???
I'm interested in knowing the difference between Radio and LTE downloads, as well.
Radio is your regular radio & LTE is the LTE radio.....

Flashing the LTE radio does not affect the software version & flashing the radio changes the baseband version.

Please for those of you having gps issues, try this. It has worked for me and many others.
Goto the market and download GPS Status & Toolbox from the developer EclipSim. Run the app. Hit the menu softkey, then click on tools. Click manage a-gps state. Choose reset. Do the same procedure again but this time choose download (so menu soft key, tools, manage a-gps state, then choose download.)

Ok if the current radio I have causes me to have no 4G should I just flash an LTE radio? If so which one should I flash?

Thanks for this thread, I like having them as separate entities that way you can find the combination that works for you.
Can we get a sticky on this?... As long as you're willing to update, of course.

The software number is equivalent to the ROM build you're currently using.
1.13.605.7 is the base for the new custom ROMs built from the latest leaked RUU.
1.12.605.9 I do believe is the downgrade used for the rooting process? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
And yes you also flash these radios through hboot as described or by simply putting the PG05IMG.zip of choice on the root of your SD card and booting into hboot.
OP updated with CDMA & LTE radios from the 2.01.605.0 leak.
I think I am bricked...
Checked the MD5SUM with the latest 2.01 radio... flashed in a S-OFF bootloader, the progress bar only goes 1/10th and it just says it's completed.
I can see the radio version in bootloader but the Baseband version is unknown and now... i have no radio.
Great.

Thanks for the information. Anyway I have revered back to the Froyo MR1 with Bootloader which flashed back old radio and now it works.
I'd assume that in order to use the new radio and LTE radio you have to be on GB? I think i'll wait till official release then.
From everything I've been reading that's what it looks like. Waiting to see what this does for CM7.

Has anyone flashed the radio from the new leak on Slayher's CM7 alpha?

moving back to san jose in a week.. with LTE there...

[D720][REF] All OTA and Available Full ROM Packages

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I HAVE CEASED UPDATING THIS THEAD.
The old information contained below will remain for posterity, but will no longer be updated. From this point forward, all updates to this information will be found at http://www.randomphantasmagoria.com/firmware/nexus-s
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below is a list of all available OTA and full ROM packages for the Nexus S 4G, model D720.
THIS IS FOR D720 ONLY. IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER VARIANT, PLEASE FIND THE THREAD FOR YOUR VARIANT.
Typical disclaimer where I tell you that all of this stuff is at your own risk and I'm not responsible if you mess up your phone, yadda yadda.
These updates are 100% stock and are NOT rooted.
HOW TO FLASH
I'm not giving instructions on how to flash ZIP files. If you don't know how to do that, you probably shouldn't be looking for stuff in this thread. There are plenty of threads on how to flash zips through recovery. Do a little reading before proceeding.
The recovery-flashable full ROM packages will only flash if your phone has no ROM, any custom ROM, or a stock ROM that's older than the version you're trying to flash. For instance, the 2.3.5 full ROM package will flash over the stock 2.3.4 ROM, but not over the stock 2.3.7 ROM.
With fastboot images, you can flash any version over any other version.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET AN ERROR WHILE FLASHING?
If you get an error flashing a recovery-flashable full ROM package, it means that you are running a stock ROM that's newer than the version you're trying to flash. If you're trying to downgrade, then you must install ClockworkMod recovery, then wipe system, boot, data, cache, and Dalvik cache. You will then be able to flash the older version. Optionally, you can also flash fastboot images of a version older than the version you're trying to flash.
If you get an error flashing an incremental update, it means one of four things. Either you don't have a D720, you aren't running a stock ROM, you have changed something with your stock ROM (this includes build.prop changes, radio or bootloader changes as well), or you're running Android 4.X and trying to update manually. These incremental updates only work if you are running a completely, perfectly stock ROM exactly the way Google provides it, with the right radio and the right bootloader. There are no exceptions to this rule. Furthermore, Android 4.X ROMs can no longer be updated manually in stock recovery. See below.
A NOTE ABOUT ANDROID 4.X OTAs
Beginning with Ice Cream Sandwich, Google has made a change to stock recovery that prevents you from flashing future OTA updates manually. Instead you are now required to wait for the OTA notification on your phone and then tap "Reboot and Install."
If this pisses you off, you have the option of unlocking your bootloader, installing either a stock Gingerbread recovery or ClockworkMod recovery, and then flashing the OTA updates manually.
LATEST VERSION
The latest Android version available for D720 is Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0.4, build IMM76D.
BUILD REFERENCE
GRJ06D - Android 2.3.4
GRJ22 - Android 2.3.4
GRJ90 - Android 2.3.5
GWK74 - Android 2.3.7
A NOTE ABOUT RADIOS
The Android 2.3.7 ROM for the D720 includes a radio that reports itself as D720SPRKE1 but in reality the actual radio version is D720SPRKH1.
FULL ROMS
FASTBOOT IMAGES
If you're comfortable with fastboot, you can flash these images to return your phone back to raw stock.
Generally the best way to do this is to perform the following steps:
Put all six fastboot images in one folder, unlock your bootloader, perform the fastboot flashes, then lock the bootloader:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem lock
FLASHING FASTBOOT IMAGES WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR PHONE'S DATA AND WILL RETURN YOU TO A FACTORY STOCK, UNROOTED STATE.
Android 2.3.7/GWK74/SPRKH1 Radio/KE1 Bootloader
Official factory fastboot images, must be flashed using fastboot on an unlocked bootloader. Contains recovery, radio, and bootloader.
THESE IMAGES MUST BE FLASHED USING BOOTLOADER VERSION D720SPRKC5
RECOVERY-FLASHABLE ROMS
Currently there are no full ROM packages available. Nobody seems to have posted any links to them.
Still need ROMs for:
Android 2.3.4/GRJ06D/SPRKC9 Radio/KC5 Bootloader
Android 2.3.4/GRJ22/SPRKD8 Radio/KC5 Bootloader
Android 2.3.5/GRJ90/SPRKE5 Radio/KC5 Bootloader
Android 2.3.7/GWK74/SPRKH1 Radio/KE1 Bootloader
Android 4.0.4/IMM76D/SPRLC1 Radio/KE1 Bootloader
INCREMENTAL UPDATES
The links provided here are to Google's official update package for each version. Sometimes Google provides a small incremental update package for upgrading between versions, other times they just provide full ROM packages for bigger version upgrades. For instance, Google pushed a small incremental update to upgrade from 2.3.4 to 2.3.6. If your phone was running 2.3.1, there is no 2.3.1 to 2.3.6 incremental update, so Google would push the 2.3.6 full ROM package.
If you don't see an upgrade path from your version to your desired version, it means you need to use a full ROM package above instead.
Android 2.3.4 (Build GRJ06D/SPRKC9 Radio/KC5 Bootloader)
2.3.4 (GRJ06D) -> 2.3.4 (GRJ22)
Android 2.3.4 (Build GRJ22/SPRKD8 Radio/KC5 Bootloader)
2.3.4 (GRJ22) -> 2.3.5
Android 2.3.5 (Build GRJ90/SPRKE5 Radio/KC5 Bootloader)
2.3.5 -> 2.3.7
Android 2.3.7 (Build GWK74/SPRKH1 Radio/KE1 Bootloader)
2.3.7 -> 4.0.4
Completely unnecessary thread
We already have 2 threads that have these zips posted
Good afternoon. I had asked this question previously but never received an answer: Is the SPH-D720 not able to use 4.0.? Ice Cream Sandwich???.... If not, then why? I don't understand what the big difference is between the other models that are able to upgrade to the new Android ICS version of the OS, and the SPH-D720. It seems that this is the only model that doesn't have an upgrade to 4.0???.... Is it because of the CDMA chip? Or exactly what is the reason? Am I mistaken? Is there an upgrade from 2.3.7 to 4.0.?......
The 4.0.4 update is being pushed out by Sprint now. If anyone is able to share the OTA package or provide a link to it that would be great.

I'm ready!
I have updated the first post to add some additional notes and have also added the 2.3.7/GWK74 fastboot images.
Anyone have the official link to the 4.0.4 OTA yet? It's rolling out. Also, could someone with the official OTA (not the leak) tell me what the new radio and bootloader versions are?
Gonna be tricky to get this one, most ns4g users in xda are probably running the leaked version or a custom ROM...
Someone will grab it, I'm sure. I've managed to hunt down the other ones, so I'm sure we'll get this one eventually. haha
I plan on flashing back to stock when I get home sometime over the weekend and turning on my logging on my router to watch all traffic that goes through and some ADB logging to get the URL. Then I will just nandroid back to my custom 4.0.4 that I have been running since a few days after AOSP was updated. Once I have the URL I will reply.

If you get the update notification, say "not now" when it prompts you. Get the filename from /cache, and put this in front of it to get the full URL: http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/google_crespo4g/.
I think it's posted here, but I'm guessing you'd prefer it to be from a user?

I got my M9+ in the UAE as well and the latest/current software version is 1.61.401.7. I guess the recovery is still the same with 1.61.401.6?

I can't tell you unfortunately. And also it's a shame you can't boot up recoveries anymore without flashing them...
in normal old hboot, you could simply fastboot boot recovery.img, now in M9 and M9+ ABoot, you just can't do that anymore, you have to flash it to boot it And thus you can't backup original recoveries...
(I'm really annoyed by this, it also means i cannot warmboot a kernel either without flashing it, which is a burden for unstable kernel development. But that's it, nothing to do about it)
Probably it could be just as good as 1.61.401.7, but it's not easy to tell without actually trying it.

Taiwanese number is 709,not 707.
Did you really want taiwan's 709? You must confirm it firstly.
Keep in mind you would not apply OTA if you flash "custom" recovery in this M9+ forum.
You could follow tbalden's CleanSlate ROM for the new update and apply firmware manually.
Hope when M9+ will be available in EU/USA in the recent, there will be more resources(RUU,S-OFF,Custom Recovery,System Image Backup...) for us.

All I can help with is to promise i'll update the CleanSlate when I get my hands on a system image with the new base and get some free time to mess with it...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4wgcd7md4i3zogy/recovery_verified_Europe_1.85.401.5.img?dl=0
With my s-off, i've just converted to main version 1.08 Europe region 401, all went fine. Now updating to 1.61, then hopefully to 1.85 Then i'll dump system image and look at creating an update for CleanSlate ROM

You need a backup of a stock system and boot image restored too, without modification and backed up in system read only mode of twrp. Otherwise it will fail. Also you need the exact version of stock recovery where your backup was made.
So far it seems the best way is to have ruu signed zips with the same main version as your firmware. There's no guide here on m9+ how to modify main version of phone to be able to flash earlier full ruu zips, but at the moment we only have 1.08 ruu zips at hand, so if anyone upgraded over that is kind of stuck with read-only mode system backups if we don't know how to modify main version.
Hopefully someone can put together a guide fur that.
Tho I'm not sure, if you're s-off and super cid, it might even allow to downgrade main version automatically while flashing the old ruu, right? If so, backing up sdcard to PC and flash ruu zip then update through ota is a good option.
It needs a lot of fuss to do these things, that's why I cook the CleanSlate ROM when updates roll out and I can create them too, so people just don't have to care too much about it, flash the rom zip right away, no sdcard backup business, no s-off needed.
We're lucky because the Radio firmware is inside the ROM too, so when they update that it will be there in custom ROMs too. Also it seems that they rarely change other firmware partitions so far...
