My XDA app keeps force closing when i try to reply or start a new topic.. Facebook force closes when i try to view my friends list.. Youtube force closes when i try to watch mortal kombat legacy.. Im getting insane amounts of Force Closes anybody know why?
That's crazy! I just tested everything you said, and yes, I'm getting a FC on the exact same items.
I assume this is related to Honeycomb... anyone know if this is happening with Xoom users?
Well... did some quick researching. I guess this is a Honeycomb issue. After browsing the forums and doing some Google searches, many people are having problems with the XDA app, Facebook, and Youtube... not to mention several other programs. Hopefully with time this will be resolved.
Hopefully cuz those are most of the apps most people use like facebook and youtube and then xda for people like us.. Then the other apps UGH acer come on send a update our wayy this tablet to good to be started up like this.. Come ON!
Hello,
I just got a Huddle invite on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 but it force closed. I reinstalled G+ but it keeps force closing. Can some one copy that?
DaCe
I get it too...
yep force closes every time
I think its worked once for me but force closes just about every time for me as well. Make sure to send feedback through the app.
An easy way to get around this is to press the new message button in the upper right-hand corner and send the person that invited you a message. You'll then be taken to your message history with that person and will be able to see the message sent to you. It might still force close if you back out of the message and click that invite again, but, eventually, the original message should show not as an invite but as read and will no longer force close when clicked on.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium App
I saw this crash on my friends tab. I looked into the log and its crashing because the app tries to do network operations on the UI thread, something that pre-honeycomb was discouraged, but allowed. Honeycomb forces you not to do this and will crash if you do.
I'm quite amazed that an app coming out of Google has this issue.

Hi there,
I recently rooted my Galaxy S4 as I was sick of all the bloatware and the stock media player always playing instead of Play Music, so I was uninstalling a bunch of apps that I didn't think were necessary, including one called vouchercloud. Now every 10-30 minutes or so, my phone freezes for about 10 seconds and gives me a "Unfortunately, com.vouchercloud.android has stopped" error. I deleted the app, so I don't know how it could stop, but does anyone know of how to stop it from doing this? If there is some other app that keeps trying to open vouchercloud, or I didn't delete all components of the app?
Thanks for your help

Haha, thanks, that worked I can't believe I didn't think of that to begin with -_-
On the G3 ROMs, when you are casting to the Chromecast, some apps are causing a Force Close when you pull down on the notification bar. I've compiled a list to indicate which apps will result in a Force Close, and which ones will work as normal.
Apps That Work Without Any Problems
AllCast
Photos
Casting photos works
No problem when pulling down notification bar
Videos
Sound is garbled on videos taken with camera; will have to test other videos
No problem when pulling down notification bar
Dayframe
Casting photos works
No problem when pulling down notification bar
Dehumanize Your Friends
Casting game works
No problem when pulling down notification bar
Netflix
Casting videos works
No problem when pulling down notification bar
Google+ Photos
Casting online photos works
No problem when pulling down notification bar
Plex
Casting videos works
No problem when pulling down notification bar
Apps That Result in a Force Close
Google Play Music
Casting online music works
Force close when pulling down notification bar
PocketCasts
Casting podcasts works
Force close when pulling down notification bar
YouTube
Casting videos works
Force close when pulling down notification bar
Of course, this is not an exhaustive list. Please let me know if you've tested other apps and I'll update this post.
Interestingly the force closes happen in this Rom and the cloudy pro Rom, but not in stock. In a lot Samsung device are fc too. Any idea?

Cloudyflex also suffers the same issue.
Just to be clear, it's SystemUI.apk that is FC-ing. Endless FC loops. Only reboot can help.
Back to topic,
LocalCast app - > FC
Yatse - > works fine
EDIT
so apparently casting pictures won't trigger the FC, but videos and music will..
Somebody at Google+ managed to get a logcat about this problem
The following were the error i got in the logcat.
java.lang.RuntimeException: Error receiving broadcast Intent { act=android.media.VOLUME_CHANGED_ACTION flg=0x10 (has extras) } in com.android.systemui.statusbar
I don't know whether it is relevant to ask in this community. But any help is much appreciated.*

Hopefully Optimus can figure it out as I use localcast a lot on my phone. :good:
Decided to go back to stock G2 KitKat. No issues with chromecast.
Add to the list of apps that dont work "Web Video Caster". Plays the videos but as soon as you pull the notifications, Systemui goes in an FC craze

Actually I'm using Bruce's ROM, which is based on stock.
Anyway, there's already a fix for this issue now.. needs xposed framework though

I have this issue on the stock V10a-EUR firmware. Can somebody with the same firmware confirm? Now V10e is out maybe it solves this issue.
