G+ Huddle Force Close - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

Hello,
I just got a Huddle invite on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 but it force closed. I reinstalled G+ but it keeps force closing. Can some one copy that?
DaCe

I get it too...

yep force closes every time

I think its worked once for me but force closes just about every time for me as well. Make sure to send feedback through the app.

An easy way to get around this is to press the new message button in the upper right-hand corner and send the person that invited you a message. You'll then be taken to your message history with that person and will be able to see the message sent to you. It might still force close if you back out of the message and click that invite again, but, eventually, the original message should show not as an invite but as read and will no longer force close when clicked on.

I saw this crash on my friends tab. I looked into the log and its crashing because the app tries to do network operations on the UI thread, something that pre-honeycomb was discouraged, but allowed. Honeycomb forces you not to do this and will crash if you do.
I'm quite amazed that an app coming out of Google has this issue.

What makes google talk and loading of market apps shut down??

Has anyone else experienced this? At times I will try to download and app from the market and it won't download?? I don't know exactly what that means but it happens only when I try to download apps???

i was wondering the same thing, it happens to me when i try to update my apps and thereafter i can't download the update or anything else.
Did you remove any apps that may remotely be connected to market/talk? There's no reason those would be FC unless something is missing. As a matter of fact... I don't think they ever FC on me in 2 years of owning Android phones.

I'm not sure the OP means FC. If he/she is talking about what I have experienced, which it sounds like, sometimes you select an app to DL from the market and it'll just sit there. Nothing in the notifications, but if you open the market and go back to the app there will be a download progress bar not, uh...making progress. It's just kinda solid grey with no animation.
In my case, I just canceled the download(s) in the market, and restarted my phone and they worked. Oddly, a full shutdown/turn back on didn't help! Only restart.
I haven't had any problems with GV (except for the wonkiness signing in with a Google Apps account). I'm interested to know what the OP's issue with GV is as well.

You are correct that is exactly what happens most of the time when I try to download apps from the market. The l only reason I mention google talk is because - and I heard someone else mention this on another post - if I simultaneously try to open google talk there is a message (unable to sign in) or something to that affect.
There has been a coupe times where if I just put my phone down and walk away or do other things
It eventually kicks back on and downloads the apps.
This has been my one and only problem so far. Other than this it runs better than any phone I have had.

"Wallpaper Updated" message

In the past week or so i constantly get the message on my phone saying wallpaper updated. I thought it was caused by the wallpaper i had on it so i switched to another, fixed it for maybe 5 min then the message was back again. The message appears whenever i open or close an app, open or close the keyboard, switch the screen orientation, etc. It basically does it no matter what i do.
Anyone else having this problem or have a possible solution?
Droid2 running leaked Gingerbread build
I know this is a older thread but i figured i would let you know.
I had the same issue. It was caused by the MySpace app. I uninstalled it and stopped getting that message. May not be the same for you but there you go.

Samsung software update crashes every boot

Added my login information to the samsung update account so it could check for O/S updates and now the samsung update app crashes w/ a force close 3-4 times every time I re-start the tablet.
I tried to delete the info in the accounts manager and it says i have to wipe the tab to remove this information..
I there a way to manually delete this information in the file system?
I have a similar issue, I just force close it, it pops up one more time (a total of two times as a popup) and after I force close it the second time it goes away till I reboot it again.

The more I use the 10.1.. the more I feel like it is a Kludge.. I have to use different browsers for different websites...
Some hang, some force close.. some don't even open the page.
I'm thinking of getting a Macbook Air and just being done with the tablet thing for now..
Settings-Applications-Manage Applications-All Find samsung account, click it and clear data. Reboot tab and problem is gone. If you click check for system update the issue comes back but you can just repeat the process again.
Settings/Applications/Manage Applications
Uninstall the updates for both Samsung applications in the list, and reboot, and enjoy.

fake market updates?

well first I have this problem where my phone tells me there is an update, but I tap on that message and it takes me to the market with no updates needed - or I will get a message that says 6 updates available and there are only 5 of them on the list - WTF?
I been gettin the same msg the last couple days with no updates when I go to the market. Most the time when I do have updates it never showes in the status bar.

I have had this message for about 3 months so far - just about every single day!
is it maybe a malicious update of sorts that has figured out how to hide it self but cant hide the update message or something like that?
This has been a known bug ever since the marketplace 3.0 launch. I'm pretty used to it by now. It's not malicious, just annoying.

Are you using more than 1 Google account? That was happening to me until I realized the Market was showing me apps for the wrong account. Hit menu -> accounts to change it.

Happens all the time to me also. Market just has some fundamental bugs. I also get a varying number of apps because some decide to "vanish" for a while. Solution is to clear market cache and data. Unfortunately this resets all the settings including security.
I only have 1 account
I have noticed that at times there are apps that wont show up even if I search for them as if its blocked or something like a region lock, it will go away and I can find the app after a restart or sometimes a day has to go by - but is there any way to hack the market sorta like you can remove the region lock on movies
I have this problem every single day, is there a fix for it yet?
check each app you have on market to see if it need an update

lots of bugs everywhere

Software will force close out of nowhere and the screen will go black and return me to the screen I was on but then I would have to scroll down. The app will sometimes crash completely. Facebook and youtube and even twitter do this.
Then the swype keyboard doesn't always work in firefox.
Sometimes an error will come up telling me "unfortunately setup wizard has stopped working" out of nowhere. A Google search shows me results for older or rooted phone doing it on initial setup (actually being in setup wizard)

Sounds like an issue with your phone. Have you tried factory resetting, thus ensures is not an app you downloaded. If it still has the bugs with no user apps might want to take it back to the store and get a new one.
