Weird problem: Huge font in Samsung email app - Galaxy S II General

(Have Googled this problem and searched forums but not found a solution)
For some reason, when I reply to emails my signature often shows up on the recipients screen in a 72p font.
I have done nothing to the settings apart from enabling the signature and typed in a line 'Sent from my Android phone'. I've tried deleting it and re-writing it, but the same thing happens again (on both IMAP and Exchange email accounts).
I'm using the stock Samsung email app. Has anyone else encountered this? It's so stupid.

Just change the font,
Menu- More- Font Size.
Regards.

I already have that set to 'tiny' and there seems to be no way to set the font size for the signature.
Everything always looks fine when I send, but then I get replies from my colleagues laughing because my signature is huge (body font is normal size).

Did you ever figure out how to fix the HUGE font size for the email signature? I'm having the same problem and it's embarrassing when it comes over in this format on business emails.
HELP!!!

HD2 COMPLETE HTML EMAIL viewing by default in GMAIL and/or HOTMAIL...?

I'm sure we all want to have the option of looking at our emails in full HTML format by default on our HD2's. Does anyone know how to configure this option. A registry tweak would be nice.
Using the following route for GMAIL you can change your account settings to show 'The Entire Message' and download 'All attachments' by default by still doesn't give the solution we need.
Instructions :-
Go to the Inbox of any account
-> click on the menu key (right soft)
-> on the pop-up menu, select Tools>Options...
-> choose an account to edit
We need an expert on the case! Please.......................
Would it explain why accents don't display ?
Basically, I had an iPhone before and when I received an email, the entire message was downloaded. Pictures & text etc. and you were able to scroll about the entire message without any issues or having to do anything else to gain access to the rest of the email.
On the HD2, I have managed to get the majority of the message downloaded but still not "internet Pictures" are allowed to be downloaded and you have to push another option to scroll right if the email is quite large.
I know that Safari is a different program and not affected by malware and such like but I would like something similar on the HD2.
Are there any tweaks or CABs to fix this???
Thanks
I have been looking for a fix for this since I got my HD2 but it seems that there is no fix.
This is the main thing that is anoying me about this phone (Even more than the sms issue) I cant belive there is not 1 person on here that can hack this and let us download everything by default.
Anyway there is a HUGE donation for anyone who can do this!!
Regards,
Adam Rees
Someone else RAGING about the same things I am!
I think hell just froze over. The 1.6x ROM was pretty good in comparison to the 1.48 ROM. When that is officially been released then texting will be better.
BsB tweaks 1.6 will solve the texting issue till then. It has for me (for the most part).

Yup this annoyed me on the Touch HD also. There must be a registry setting somewhere that will enable the automatic download of pictures for html messages by default. Although this would mean spammers could potentially validate your email if the spam hits your inbox.

Are you serious?
Last year Safari was the second most-vulnerable browser (after FireFox), and most of those vulnerabilities targeted the iPhone version.

Auto download full email instead of pointless previews?

Hey,
Like the HD2, but there's one really annoying niggle that I can't figure out how to sort (it's probably a really obvious setting that I'm just missing).
Emails only ever seem to download a very basic preview of what the message is and then give the annoying "click to download the rest of this message" option.
Is there any way to bypass this? So emails are automatically downloaded in full, ready to read?
Cheers
Email tab>Inbox>Menu>Tools>Options>*Choose Email Account*>Download Size Settings
Change Message download limit to Entire Message.
Hope that helps.

Knew it would be somewhere nearby, thanks bud
what if download all mail attachment and pics? seems can't work with this setting.
Edit: tis working now cheers
Dont seem to have the option with hotmail.. Is this right?
I would be also happy to know how to do that with Hotmail. This option is available however doesnt matter what I set there because everytime I select "Download entire message", click "Ok" and then want to reassure if it is set I see just the default values. I could change it just in case of POP3 access but when I am using Hotmail I dont know hot to set it. Maybe I should set Hotmail via POP3 but than I couldnt use "Push email"...

Sending message to multiple contacts

I didn't find the option to view contacts list from Messaging, Email, or Gmail apps that came with X10. So, it is getting frustrating to send message to multiple users as I now need to type few characters from each person's name to bring their contact information. The problem is when I have several people to send the message I tend to forgot who I already selected.
My question is, is this an Android 1.6 lack of feature or X10? For messaging I downloaded Handcent SMS which has the feature to select contacts from list like any dumb phone has. I am surprised several little and basic features like these are missing in X10.
I hate using apps that don't blend well with the nice Bluish interface of X10. So, apps like Handcent SMS spoil the rich experience of X10 but I have no choice but to use as selecting multiple users is very important.
yeah a little annoying I agree, but you can totally customize the look of Handcent you know right?? Just use backgrounds, colours, and fonts that match the blue SE Timescape theme.

I only see Sense or iPhone theme on Handcent SMS. Font's I can select System Fonts. I am trying to get the same dark blue background like in the default SE Messaging app.

I'd say try to set the backgrounds in Handcent to the blue SE ones included on the phone, like either of the two in "Wallpaper Gallery" you can choose when you want to set your Wallpaper. I'm not sure where exactly they're located on the file system, I just briefly looked and couldn't find them, but maybe someone else knows or maybe it's possible to download them online somewhere??
Furthermore, there's 4 different font packages available for Handcent on the marketplace, I'm sure you could find a font similar enough to the default one of the SE messaging app, then set all font colours to white and you're golden. Please post your results and if you happen to find where those SE Wallpapers are located, thanks

Thanks. Got it all setup to close very close in theme to SE's blue. I had to download the wallpaper from online as I couldn't locate the one sitting somewhere in the system folders.

Is there a problem with selecting more than one contact? I mean, I can send one text to different people using the default messaging app. Just compose a new text and write a couple of letters that the contact starts with then select it and write a couple of letters for your next contact. Works perfectly for me!

I have contacts with multiple numbers (home, work...etc). It seems there is no way to select the alternative numbers using the default messaging app.

That's the only way possible. But it would have been better if showed the contact list with a "check box". That is how it is on most phones and messaging apps. Having to type the first two characters is not going to be easy when trying to send message to several contacts as you need to remember who you already entered plus the worst part is if one of your contact has two mobile phones and the second is listed as "Other" number, it will never show up by entering couple of characters. You have to open that contact from Address Book and choose that number to send message.

Yes. This is a pain as one of my friend carried two cellphones. One work cell and one personal which he carries mostly on weekends. I can't chose his personal number from Messaging app. I have to open the contact and choose the number to send message.
I hope SE engineers are reading this forum. They really need to implement lot of these simple easy changes in their next update.

Oh, I see. Well then, I've only got one number for each contact. Can't help you then.

Compose email font size too big

Anybody else noticing the font size when you compose an email using the default email client is Way too big? not gmail....but the other email client. I set this up with my office exchange email, it's also the same with my other accounts in the client.
I'm posting this here because it's not rom specific. I've experienced this on Clean, HD, and Beans.
I can't

Any ideas on this
Take a sec and hit thanks if I helped or if you're in a good mood!
Press the menu button on the left when you have mail inbox open and select font size. That should be all you need to do

This does not change the compose font, it only changes the font size in the message list. I too have the same issue with default email app. i would like to be able to change the font size when composing an email.
Every other email app I tried, uses the system font size, odd that the default does not. If anyone knows how to fix, please let me know.
Thanks.

Well if you change your default font size to tiny then composing an email your font is smaller as well, just tried it and it worked for me

That does not change the composition font, for me anyway. Also, I do not want the font list in the message list to change, it is too small changing it to tiny, I just want the font size when composing and email to match the size used in the message list.
