As i understanding by this doc http://code.google.com/p/pal-nix/source/browse/androidtricks that parameter unlocks FPS above 60. so with it enabled ideos should get more than 30.. up to 60.. and with it disabled - more than 60. But who needs more than 24FPS? you have non human eyes?

Edit. Tried debug.gr.swapinterval=0. It's unlocking FPS cap but not limiting to 60FPS.

smooth . you can feel it. it can make the phone faster . the experience will be ptomoted. we should lock the fps to 60

Unlock Fps
So,to unlock Fps you must add To Build.prop:laugh:
debug.egl.swapinterval=0

Touch input lag?

To anyone who has the Droid x, can you run a touch input test and see if there is a delay? Also someone run fps2d, that would be nice. I just have this slight feeling 2dfps are capped at 30fps(coming out of my ass) because if you watch this review, it doesn't seem that smooth, but I know from another review in 3d it gets 60fps.
Droid X does NOT have the 30FPS cap. In this benchmark he gets over 30FPS on the 3D test.
Whats the name of the app they used to do the touch input lag in this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szOje7dcRlo

HTC Evo has a 30FPS cap on the display - period. Doesn't matter if it's a 2D or 3D application. That's why I posted the YouTube benchmark video. It clearly shows 60FPS in a 3D app which means it's not capped.

Huh? I not talking about the EVO at all, I am saying the Droid X does not have a 2d fps cap. You can have no 3d fps cap, but have a 2d one, it's perfectly possible.
I was just verifying it doesn't have a 2dfps cap, even though I already knew it had no 3d fps cap.

Then why did you say you thought it was capped at 30FPS in your very first post? The only phone that is capped at 30FPS is the Evo, hence the reason I mentioned it.
Once again, if you get over 30FPS in a 3D app then you'll get over 30FPS in a 2D app. Unless the 2D app is very demanding and your CPU/GPU cannot keep up.
Anyway, we know it's not capped and it beats the Evo in CPU/GPU tests. Gotta love it.

neocore on nexus S

hey guys any one done a neocore test on this?
cheers
This will be useless, because all will score 55 - 56.
It is capped due to hardware refresh rate.
has FPS cap like galaxy S phones maxes out at 56
edit
beat me to it
all right cheers, but nexus S does get the limit?

[Question]Increase camera Fps On hd2

I'm sorry for my English, I ask you a question.
Many pda like Samsung and the iPhone record video with a quality incredible.
We all know that our HD2 hasn't a powerful camera, has few fps etc.. I therefore believe it is logical to work to increase the fps even when using a resolution of 800 * 480.
If you could record in 720p, it would be nice, but if camera had a lot of fps.
What do you think? and is it possible can increase the fps while recording a video?
thks!

The point of the 60 FPS is to do a slow motion, once you took the video, you can edit it to get some parts (well actually one part) to go slower.. then you can for example, while filming a freind jumping with a skate board, slow down only the part when he actually is in the air.. you can choose what speed to reduce it to as well.

Recording videos while driving a car. Great job. Moron.
took a 60 fps of a local race.
i think it makes a more smooth video ?

YouTube isn't 60fps so video is pointless

No it is not, you have slow motion option and HD fast (60fps), they are different things, with 60fps you will have a smother video.
Smoother like if you are playing a game at 20fps(for example) in a computer and then change the configuration or the hardware and it give you 30~40fps, you will be able to play it much better.
60 fps is 720p, 30 fps is 1080p. (i'm guessing 60fps means lower compression rate / less space taken?)

let me bring a little clarity!!!
The reason the 60 frames per second looks so smooth is because our eyes see at about 60 frames per second that is the point in having 60 frames per second . this is why in the gaming industry for many many years we have tried to get 60 frames per second that is also coincidentally the same refresh rate of your monitor (likely) to go a little further you'll notice that 3d TVs are typically 120 Hertz so 60 รท60 is 120 3d is 2 images. Tada sooo, For me i love the 60 fps because theres no loss in frames when I watch it with my eyes... Your dog will see it skip but not you! Dogs see at like 75 or 80 fps dont quote me on that ,but its a lil faster than we do.. Wikipedia can explain all that if you wanna know more.... So both arguments are kind of right. Yes the images will look better in slow mo and yes the images will look smooth but you would actually one more like 120 for slow mo or 240 the more frames you get the better it looks in slow mo..

Issues recording videos at higher fps

Why is it that even though the snapdragon 636 can record 1080p videos at 120 fps, max pro m1 is restricted to 30 fps either it be 720 or 1080p recording ??????
I also have the same question, as the processor supports recording at higher frame rates then why it's not enabled, or can it be enabled with any module or high FPS is hardware dependent.
Please @gusbalaa suggest anything or correct if I'm wrong.
