You will get much better description in the first post in the specific ROM's thread than by a random guy in this thread. Choose a ROM with a guide that you understand for your first ROM-flashing.

No I will not guide you since I haven't flashed any ROM on SGS2 yet (I've rooted though), it would be irresponsible by me.
But Cognition ROM has a simple straight forward description, if you don't get it then you need to search/ask specifically for the things you don't get.
If you can't understand these simple instructions, you shouldn't be flashing custom ROMs.

yes, or use ODIN to do that from your computer
Copy your downloaded Rom onto your SD card.
Switch off your phone.
Hold Volume Up, Home and Power buttons at the same time until you reach the CWM screen (as seen in the link above, )
Select Wipe Date/Factory Reset then Wipe Cache then Install Zip from SD card.
Then Reboot and wait for the Rom to load.

the clockwork recovery as well any custom recovery. it allows the unsigned .zip that we use to changes roms update and so on., without being stopped by manfacturer security
clockwork its popularity might have come from the awesome rom manager app i believe he is also on the cm team. someone with better knowledge can answer that one.

So im a big noob on modding tablets, and not wanting to brick it I would appreciate the help
So i install this app (already done) then open it up... i have 2 choices install clockwork recovery or install stock USA...... so i install clockwork recovery?
what does this do? lets me install custom 'recovery.img' onto the device such as PRIME 1.4?
so i download PRIME 1.4.zip and inside are 2 folders and boot.img, how do i then go about safely putting PRIME on the device?
sorry for all the questions but everyone's gotta learn sometime ;D

You leave Primed zipped and put it on your SDcard.
You then boot into CWM and select install .zip from SDcard.
Navigate to the file (Prime 1.4) and just select it.
It should then install
Reboot and have lots of new fun!

How do I boot into CWM? like a device reboot, or via the app?
Ok so I installed CWM recovery from the app above.... and moved the PRIME.zip file to my SDcard root but in the app now the "Custom or Stock recovery.img from microSD" is greyed out.
Any ideas how I install PRIME?
I also rebooted the device and managed to boot it into CWM, however when i go to "install zip from sd card" PRIME does not appear in the list, i get DCIM/ and LOST.DIR/
^ My advice is to STOP RIGHT THERE
Don't even THINK about installing Prime until you've read the Prime thread in the development section and UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
Otherwise you WILL KILL YOUR TABLET.
Seriously, newbies shouldn't be doing any of this stuff until you've understood how to do it safely.

6: -go to "install update from .zip"
7: -select the .zip file from SD card and install it

Thats the standard procedure, but usually you can find installation instructions in each ROM's thread....

Yes, you can try switching baseband to your region, and also try more radio version, because sometimes newest version can give you poorer signal than older versions.

Edit : It shows up when i disconnect my device from usb weird.
When you connect USB to phone, you can select what type of connection it should establish from the notification tray. If you have "data storage" selected, then the sd card will be only visible for the computer you are connected to.

Flash stock rom with Odin from doky sirs thread. If u want to switch to another ROM without flashing stock with Odin try sanny5 sirs steps.
1. Download the ROM.
2. Paste in your SD card. NOT in any folder.
3. Download cmw and flash it through stock recovery install update from sd. ( home button + volume up button + power button simultaneously to enter stock recovery. )
4. Wide data and cache in cmw.
5. Go to format system and cache and data.
6. Mount all things ( all become unmount )
7. Go back wipe data and cache. ( just in case )
8. Choose install zip from SD card and choose your ROM zip folder and flash it.
And be patient becos this kind of flashing method will take a longer time from five to six minutes.
Finished flashing then reboot.
Pls pls press thanks if I helped !

I even tried pink screen, but win7 doesnt install the drivers, so i can't copy any new rom to my phone to bring it back to life.
So what can i do?.... im tired of searching an nothing.

Try connecting the phone to a Linux distro, Ubuntu for example. No drivers are needed and you can access the phone via pink screen and a sudo nautilus window
Cheers
You can try to ask someone to give you the drivers and then force install them while connected to pink screen. OR you can connect your phone while got are in recovery and if your computer recognizes phone then push a ROM through adb.

i have already tried to mount the phone with recovery but it doesnt allow me :\
You have flashed previously an official 2.3 rom which has pink screen locked, so you cannot access to the partitions. Linux cannot help you on this.
So if you haven't access to sdcard or to adb, then the only think you can do is to reinstall the official rom. But this time do these 2 more steps which are life savers:
1. Flash the unlocked bootloader. There is a thread on U8800' s forums: "get your pink screen back"(maybe the name isn't exactly this but you will find it using search function). This will flash the B518 bootloader which is the last unlocked. All next version of official rom have the bootloader locked.
2. Make a full backup of the device from linux. There is also a thread for this: U8800 full Linux backup how to
Then you will have the way to recover your device from almost everything.
Also to flash CM10.1 you need larger /system partition. This was the reason of bootloop. There are infos about this on CM10.1 thread on general section.

No you cannot use bootloader.zip on upgrade mode.
You must install the official rom from upgrade mode as you did the first time.
Then first you must root the phone, flash the custom recovery and after flash the bootloader.zip from there.

A bit of searching would have found you this guide http://androidxda.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s5-sm-g900p for how to root the G900P. Realy, wait for others to answer your question?
BTW you do need a sdcard if you want to flash roms, because if you data factory reset in recovery the internal sdcard should be wiped before you flash a new rom, unless you push a rom with adb or sideload from recovery.

Best is to place and use a sdcard to put the rom on. First you have to flash a custom recovery through Odin on your pc though, i personaly recomend Philz Touch recovery if available for your phone. Once installed you can flash other roms or kernels. No need to root first as all custom roms are pre-rooted. Make a backup pf your current rom before you flash a new one, just to be safe.
