Hey guys, everytime i text my friends with the iPhone4 i only recive every other message they send. It happens with only the iPhone4 (AT&T & Verizon). When I text my friends that have Android OS phones I receive every message.
Got any advice or fixes? Please?
Tell your friend to get an android. But it happens with multiple Iphone 4s? Do any of your other android owning friends experience this?

Just curious, are you getting this with every MMS on every contact? I'm having the same problem, but it's only to one specific contact whether I try to send it to that persons Verizon Wireless number or their T-Mobile number. However, I can send MMS to my wife or friends on multiple carriers.
Odd. Yea. I sent one to someone else, but I can't send one to my gf on Verizon. ?

Still doesn't explain the issue of one contact with multiple numbers on multiple carriers. My boss for example. I can't send an MMS to her T-Mobile line or Verizon line. I get the same error, but I can send to everyone else (haven't gotten an error on anyone else... yet)
Only in the situation of why would it error on T-Mobile to T-Mobile from a Vibrant to a Bold 9700 which I know has texting and data. She's a T-Mobile employee like me.
Adding a Subject worked. Sent my gf a test and it worked. Thanks! This is odd.

how do you have an iphone on sprint?
Didn't someone just ask this....
Look at your life. Does the iphone do everything you need or want it to do? If so, keep it, if not then do some research on the features of other phones and see if they do what you need.
Don't let someone else make your decisions for you.

atrix is AT&T. I would say go for it. As an android user I can tell you that there is nothing the iPhone can do that the matrix won't do, and there are so many things that android does that iOS doesn't.

HUH i know atrix is AT&T? I own an atrix on AT&T?
ahh you're on the XDA app. On the website, if you look at the left part of his post under his username, you'll see that he tagged himself on Sprint. Thus, my question, "how do you have an iphone on sprint?"
and im sure you meant atrix not matrix ;D stupid autocorrect.
I miss my iphone. Android 2.2 blows compared to ios 4.3 imo. The screen sucks and its slow.
I wouldn't settle for any locked down android phone if I had to choose again. For now my atrix is a dedicated hotspot for my ipad2 and laptop.

where i am, the iphone and atrix seems like a quick trade. look on craigslist?
but be prepared to be tackled with tethering charges XD
i'd switch, then again i never had an iphone. my wife does and i hate the thing. i also had a palm pre (awesome phone but the development for apps sucks).
anyways, good luck on your decision.
u ask this is the atrix forum u going to get bias opinion
I got a text saying it off! Surprise nobody has posted anything yet

Did you not read about this elsewhere? Everyone's known for like atleast 2 months
and people who actually followed the case could have told you it was off way earlier
I been following it since it become rumors, I posted it because I just received the text. I thought people would relate to it.

Thats weird. Usually they send a text to everyone if its something like this. I have yet to receive a text like that, anyways the merger was called off about a few months ago, and basically most people already know about it.
I got the same text about an hour ago. Also got a letter in the mail a couple weeks ago. Maybe they have Cedric the Entertainer working in the PR department..."Are you sure? Are you sure, sure?"

Yea i just got this. Its funny that if you follow the link and watch those videos of the iphones they're basically just saying that there 4g is faster than everyone elses 3g which is obvious. very stupid marketing
just got it today too.
To be fair, T-mobile's 3g is faster than everyone else's 3g...
This thread wasn't useless after all

First Samsung phone. When I get a message that is broken into parts because of size, reading from the top of phone is backwards. The last part comes in first and the first part comes in last. Is this a Samsung thing and can it be changed?
My wife has this problem when she gets long messages from iPhone users. I don't receive long messages very often (must not have any long-winded friends), so I don't know if my phone does it.
I tested a message sent from my S4 to hers, it came through as one message, not broken up. I am researching it some more and will let you know what I come up with. It drives her nuts, too.
My girl has an iPhone and her messages do the same thing to mine

All I've got to test it with is an iPhone (friends and girl) and an s2 (lame friend) lol but it is annoying and I do like how the girls phone receives all mine as a whole so idk not enough to make anyone get rid of this beast I don't think anyways

I have it set that way and they still do it.
OK now I am totally confused as it does not take a lot. The messages from a droid on Verizon were coming in split and backward. Getting messages from an I-phone on AT&T and they are coming split but coming in right. This is backwards from what others are saying.
I think it has to do with the clock not only on the sending phone, but also the clock on the other networks. The phone should get the time from the network if it is set to. If it's not set to do so, that could be part of the problem. Maybe the way a message is time stamped on another network is different, or time can slightly vary from different networks. I don't know much about it. I found a lot of people with this problem, but no real solutions. I couldn't get it fixed, so guess I will just have to deal with it.
I see this problem a lot when getting texts from Verizon phones Android or iPhone. Never from At&t or Sprint.
