Came from jk4 and now running jl5. Was able to send mms in jk4 but am not able to send in jl5. Get a server error. Any fix for this?

Just curious, are you getting this with every MMS on every contact? I'm having the same problem, but it's only to one specific contact whether I try to send it to that persons Verizon Wireless number or their T-Mobile number. However, I can send MMS to my wife or friends on multiple carriers.

Try adding a subject to the subject line ... this is an old issue with tmoble n verizon, happens ever so often ... may work for att also ... hope this helps ........

Still doesn't explain the issue of one contact with multiple numbers on multiple carriers. My boss for example. I can't send an MMS to her T-Mobile line or Verizon line. I get the same error, but I can send to everyone else (haven't gotten an error on anyone else... yet)
Only in the situation of why would it error on T-Mobile to T-Mobile from a Vibrant to a Bold 9700 which I know has texting and data. She's a T-Mobile employee like me.
Adding a Subject worked. Sent my gf a test and it worked. Thanks! This is odd.

does the vvm only work if you have it added to your bill? everytime ive tried to use it it says i cannot use it on my phone and to have it added to the plan, yet i have the unlimited family plan with everything included. t-mobile said it should work, but it never has. so i usually just uninstall it and use google voice...not to mention i love having emails of every voicemail i get. i have always wanted to try visual voicemail, but just cant get it working for me...any clue?

Same here... my phone was really messed up and wouldnt even reboot since I thought that might fix it. Im on Syn 1.1.
Had to do a full wipe back to stock again and txts still wont work

If you have the relevant information to allow you to ask for support, they should help you.
If you don't, talk to the person who does and have them call for you. There's no reason you should be denied service for such silly reasons.

you need to be an authorized user. ask the account holder to put you on that list

I been getting a error when sending text messages for the past hour or so. Have also confirmed this with my friend with an Evo, keep getting an error.

Sprint has a text messaging outage.
If you call *2 it will let you know about it so I'm guessing it's at least semi-nationwide.
*Queue the "typical Sprint" and bad mouthing of Sprint even though ALL networks have outages.
**Queue the comments about me being a "Sprint sympathizer" or "sprint employee" or some vulgar comment about me and Hesse simply because I pointed out a truth about all networks.

That would work although if you text a Sprint number they cannot reply.
The issue has been fixed in Michigan.
No issue in Raleigh, NC.. not even sure if Raleigh was even affected.
Issue resolved in Central Illinois as well. And yes all networks have issues, but not all networks offer truly unlimited data. Just sayin'.

i just sent a text to my buddy who has the 3d and got the same thing. sent one with a blackberry and no probs
I have successfully flashed the Evo 4G to Straight Talk.
The only issue I ran into was MMS. I had to use a different program to be able to use the MMS on the evo.
I have internet working on it at 3G speeds. I it way faster then Sprint or Boosts internet.
The network is super smooth.
If you are wondering how to flash the Evo over to Straight Talk please let me know.

Use APN Backup & Restore to backup, erase, then put these apns in the folder, and then restore them. Reboot and your MMS will work. Tested on HTC Androids Only.
Let me if you tested them on another phone.

i thought straight talk was on tmobile which uses completely different frequencies than Sprint and requires a SIM card which the Evo doesn't support?

I've had my Evo 4G flashed to Straight Talk since November 2011, but I can't get anymore to stick on the network. When I flash any HTC now it always says "unable to authenticate", but the internet works. I have the same problem with Verizon prepaid, so my question is does anybody know the solution to get HTC's to stay on the network?

Straight talk uses recycled phones and uses all cellphone providers. My sister started with a Sprint phone, went to Verizon and now has an ATT phone till she found good service at home.

Oh, didn't know about that one!! Im still very much interested.
Just wondering how you got your Evo to stay on the network? When I flash a HTC it says "unable to authenticate", but the 3G web works lol. Hope you can help.

what do you mean by flashed, are you spoofing the ESN of your evo to that of a Straight-talk supported phone? and that is not working?
I was not aware that straight talk supports CDMA phones...
You will need a donor phone from straight talk first. Buy a Samsung or LG cdma from straight talk first. Then let me know once you have that.
You will need to activate it.
Then you will need to copy NV Items 464-465 and 1192-1194
Copy the PRL
Copy the NAM and evdo settings
