Plain Jane 1.0
This is based of a system image of a 1.5 to 2.1 ota phone. For the few ppl that wanted it.
I also added zanfur's kernel, su and superuser.apk.
Testbuild, I have no eris to test this on.

good stuff. thanks!
I always like to keep a plain rom on-hand for those days I'm not feeling so wild.
I am going to flash my Eris with this tonight.
Thanks! Like wildtouch said, it's always nice to have a stock ROM.
I'm already running your rooted version of leak 3, which works great. Is there any major differences between that version and this version, or are they pretty similar?
You read my mind.
Was looking for a stock and up to date one to begin working with. Thanks jcase.

Saw the pics before you released but since it is plain jane wasn't sure if it was a stripped down original eris rom. Can we do the ##778 and update the prl with this rom? I know it was a matter of a apk (can't remember) that wasn't on some builds. Also need it to do a backup of the apn.
Sorry. Nevermind, got it figured out.
Thanks, everything is running great.

Thanks for this, I can't wait to try it out. Hope you can add Apps2SD in another version.

I can happily say that PlainJane 1.0 DOES work with my Jabra Cruiser with little to no issues!!! I installed it this morning (with a few tweaks of my own ie - nexus locker, etc) and haven't had a single issue at all! Works like a charm!!!
Thanks to all the devs out there that keep cranking these amazing roms out for us!!!!
EDIT: I have had a few small force close issues, but probably does not have anything to do with the ROM, but I felt I should post them in case anyone else is having the same issues.
When I try to go into certain folders on the SD card through either LockBot Pro or with Astro File Manager, the programs fc. It's probably due to an error with the card, but I have too much stuff on it to try and format and place everything back on there. Also, the MLB At Bat 2010 application fc's once in a while. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it still happens. It only happens on launch, and when it launches, works like a charm.
Other than that, 100%!!!
Just wanted to update!
can anyone comment on their experience between this and ivan's rom? They seem to be very similar (very close to stack with OC'd kernel)

+1 on this question...
JCASE!!!!! DUDE, I don't know if you did something intentionally, but I'm getting 0% time without signal!!!! Every other custom has given me the same old issue of have at least 50% time without signal. Also, the pics attached are WITHOUT using the airplane mode trick! Bravo JCase!!!!

AW crap found one issue: facebook not working.
that's actally Facebook's issue not the Rom. look on phandroid.com got an article on it.

CRAP and I NAND restored assuming it was the rom and a deal breaker!! Man, now I gotta flash it back. I REALLY like the fact that this new kernel apparently fixes the time without signal issue. JCase you rock dude!!
not totally. I had the 50% w/o signal issue for the first time on here today. so its still lingering.
Sent from my Eris using Tapatalk
Oh that sux. Well I used it for a couple hours and felt like battery life was a little better. What is the difference between the zanfur kernel and the kernel on the last rooted leak (which is what I was using mainly.)?
only thing I know of is the OC. otherwise it acts just like leak v3. oh and it takes less room. with all my apps installed I still have 95mb of Rom left.
Sent from my Eris using Tapatalk
Pardon my ignorance, but what does the airplane mode do related to the 50% signal issue?
going to airplane mode and back supposedly temporarily remedies the problem.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm experiencing awesome battery life with this ROM.
Sorry to bother you guys!
I was wondering if it was possible to overclock/undervolt Droid X on the new CM7.
Is there just a kernel to flash to unlock it in the built in CPU controls/SetCPU?
Poking around the web nets to find any article of someone that's done it but I may be a failure at searching -_-
Also, I know CM7 is blazing fast (I'm using it) but I wouldn't be a true android fan if I didn't OC everything I own...duh!
To be honest with you the only things I've read about CM7 on the Droid X was about the BETA release, which is basically a semi-working version so I don't think that CPU Control will arrive for quite some time untill they get the stable release out and about. But by that time I bet the bootloader will be unlocked which means it would just be faster and better to get the normal Android OS from Google.

Actually even the initial release was very useable. Several fixes for broken items (GPS, Camera, etc) were very quickly found and now only a few minor annoyances remain.
CM7 runs on the stock froyo kernel, so overclocking is already avail. I've been using DroidX Overclock (I had bought it some time ago) to undervolt, etc.
There have been some reports of DX Overclock not playing nice with Cm7, but its working pretty well for me.
I've been on it for about 48 hrs now, and I must say it's far more useable than AOSP 2.2 or even 2.3 blur. Faster, and of course, better looking.
My camera is still a bit buggy but I'm not crying about it.
I guess I'll hold in there for CPU control implementation
For now, color me impressed by the CM guys and I highly, highly recommend doing it on your Droid X's.
I just SBF'ed back to 2.2, rooted it and installed the rom via Clockwork. Easy as pie!

I use it as well but it seems that the widget never refreshes. Also when i first tried it, it would just force close until I restarted my phone. So yes you can OC/UV CM4DX.
idk about you guys but the only thing i've really noticed not working is overclocking on boot, I've yet to actually have my settings actually stick on boot.

It's not built into CM7, right?
use dx/d2 oc to fix oc on boot.
its not rummyd app, itd the less popular one.

ive been having these problems for the past months now. my phone will randomly shut down and I will have to pull the battery. This has happened on cyclonic, cm nightlies, and uke. the weird part of it is it usually happens if i turn on my phone and do not touch it, it shuts down. I recently changed shifts so I'm sure its not a hardware problem. I am going to run stock uke for a day and see if i still have the same problem
thanks for the help!

Either way try flashing Supreme Sense v8 and use the stock kernel and dont change any settings.

No it's a cm kanged rom on another website. It's not even here on xda-developers. I think it's dodge's new kernel. And also I have not even see a kernel source for it whatsoever. It's pretty much the same as the nightlies but no kernel source.

hey assclown, instead of claiming theres no source why dont you go look on sdx. instead of carrying your trolling over to another thread go work on getting your facts straight. since you know its dodgejcr's kernel it shouldnt be hard to find his source (you could prolly even ask him personally), i could post the link for you but its not my responsibility. now on about UKE again, yeah its kanged, its the name of the rom (Ultimate Kanged Edition) with the permission from cyanogen members and yeah its basically the nightlies but with a ****load more options he tests from the gerrit review and jeeze coincidentally after he adds them to UKE and tests them then they push them to the nightlies. you should really just quit your **** and get over this whole bull**** drama youre carrying on with.

i was going to try that if disabling my cpu profile didn't help, u should try that and see what happens. if that still doesn't solve it you might want to run a ruu for a couple of days and see how that works.
After being on sense with np, I went to 254 and now I only overclock at max 1305.

is it possible that the problem is the battery. I managed to pickup the phone right after the shutdown, and the phone was pretty warm, like a seat already sat in warm
Always remember that when you overclock anything you run the risk of your system crashing/rebooting. Best option is to lower the clock for now.
Pls write your opinion about ICS ROM's which you are using, what is good, what is wrong . Its will help to make choice for others .
I'm using Flexreaper 6.1.
Good: smooth, fast, Acer ring is nice. Root is OK. TiTanium Backup is OK. No SoD.
Problem : Have random FC of apk's to black screen. In opera mobile have some big spaces on top and end of the site (xda). Face lock not working. During using stock browser have a lot black blinks of screen, look like that tab is off, but after 1,5 sec its o.k.
P.S. Try to solve Opera problem with different settings. nothing help
Looking to other Rom's, but update of civato is almost the same,as he sad.
Thor write that new rom possible in few days.
Icylicious...no SOD, haven't had a FC issue at all. Tried Flexreaper, but had sod. Though i really like the ring, Icylicious is just more reliable on my machine.
basically everything works for my a500 on Icylicious Rom
well this statement has probably been beaten to death on these forums, everyones silicon is different, the best way to see how a rom is, just to try it. Some kernel tweaks make work wonders for some and others may bring your tablet to halt.
Other than that if theres any themeing done just check out the pics on the devs topic for his/hers rom
This made specially, that no need to search 1000+ posts in Dev threads. And not make garbage posts there. So, I not push, who want help to other peoples, welcome.
Thor's v96
Very stable occasional force close but no more than when on HC.
Only thing missing is camera, but that should be on the next release.
Also has occasional screen wakes but that was due to my Lotus Traveler install, and since removing and reinstalling (and an update to the Traveler version running on the corp server) it has resolved.

Taboonay ICS because everything works as far i tested. Stable and fast. The best battery live, 69% left after 3 days. No sleep of death. No unexpected wakekups like on thors rom. Only needs a overclock kernel. It is so usable now. Finally the perfect rom for me.
Also using Taboonay. If I didn't know better, I'd say this might as well be the official RC since everything works so flawlessly. Face unlock works, no FCs, nothing really funny besides a few random speaker pops. I'm very pleased.
Taboonay 3.0.1. Works great and is very clean. Personally I have noticed it handles my company exchange accounts way better than the previous stock 3.2.1.

Now Lightspeed4.21
So, from morning I use Light speed 4.21
Good : Fast, smooth, almost no programs, Opera issue is gone .
Bad : No ring, no language setup when first boot(English pre install) . When have many notifications, widow stuck for some seconds.
P.s. Will try titanium backup.
My mic still has a crackle or two, same for the speakers themselves, remember that all the ics roms are based on the beta leak, not the final. This is all on tabooney 3.0.1

I'm going to have to disagree about Gingerbread being less, well, anything other than new. The GB ROMs I run are smoother, quicker and have better battery life than ANY ICS ROM I've run. Period.
However, if you want ICS, Paranoid Android is a fun one. Also, you might keep an eye on CM9. Whichever port or build is newest will usually have the most up-to-date features. I didn't recommend AOKP because there are lots of updates and fixes here and there and you are wanting to minimize flashing. Don't get me wrong. I'm not bashing AOKP.
ICS is still under heavy development and things will really be great once a 3.0+ kernel is available.
If I were you, I'd run a good GB ROM like CM7.2 Why? Because it works. You might flash a different kernel, but honestly there is nothing wrong with the CM kernel at all and it's VERY stable. If you can accidentally break CM7, you should sell your phone and get an iPhone. Ha!
Also, read the MIUI release threads (not v4). Anytime you see someone say something like, "This build is perfect" or "I have had no problems with this ROM," you know you have a winner.

Well if you have the bad chip then I'd stay away from any ics rom. Yea they are stable at some point but it seems like after a few days, they get buggy. Be careful with the bad emmc chip. Choose your rom wisely because it could be your last. Whoever said ics is better than gb is on that sherm. Besides being new that's the only thing different. Oh I forgot, you can multitask just a tiny bit better. Ics hasn't been out for a year yet. Still has issues like camera and random reboots and freezes. Hell you can't render gpu on these things without it going crazy. Stick to gingerbread bro and keep your eye on ics. It has gotten better but its still beta. Just think of it as this, gb has 720p recording with no issues on gpu rendering and flys like the wind bulls eye! So with all this said, any further recommendations regarding the suspend_backoff issue? I didn't wanna hit ICS at all, and I'd rather not brick the phone since it was bought off CL, no warranty.
Searching for updates for suspend_backoff issues and found your thread.

This is how to find out if you have the bad emmc chip or not. Just follow the guide.
And if you do have it, don't freak out its not the end of the world. I have a bad chip but my baby is running just fine

If you are on the bad chip my suggestion would be to flash NEW! [July 26] [Sense 3.5] Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ Sense 3.5 / Smooth / Themed
or CM7.2....honestly you cant go wrong with either one of those roms....Whatever you prefer, sense or gb. Those 2 are rock solid.
