is anybody playing with Sharp EM ONE? S01SH

i got a fancy device SHARP EM ONE(S01SH) into my hand recently. i'm really happy with this new gadget. its definitely better than my previous Jasjar isn't it?!
But now i got one hurdle which really puzzled me:
I just got the device but i don't have a e-mobile sim card, so Wifi or usb host is not enjoyable on this device. So i'm wondering if somebody is playing with this machine and is there any solution to hack it to enable Wifi and USB host?
Hi,
don't understand your question. Why are you not able to switch on Wifi? Also, I have heard of people who use some prepaid sim-cards with it.

WIFI and USB function got locked if you don't have your simcard inserted into the device. I don't have the sim card....SO i wonder if anybody get any application to unlock this? to make wifi and usb function available even without inserting SIM card.
I believe you need a w-sim card or the hardware can't receive internet data. I don't know why the usb wont work. Maybe there's a hack for the USB but you're better off searching through Japanese websites.

will you people please stop answering questions here?
not only it has NOTHING to do with the development section.. why the hell create a new post for it when it's perfectly clear you need to use the top sticky QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (can't be clearer than that) thread for it..
stop answering those questions so that people realize what they need to do... or better.. direct them to the correct place INSTEAD of answering.

TREO 700WX WM6 Wifi card not working

Hello all, I'm having a little problem right now. I have a recently flashed Treo 700wx from verzon which i upgraded to WM6 from their website. Everything has been going great with the upgrade except for one issue, my wifi sdio card is no longer working. It is an ambeon WL54c-sd made by ambicom. I have searched their website and tried pretty much all of their drivers but none of them have the capability for WM6. I have also tried a number of other drivers from either spectec, to palm, and basically any other driver for wifi sdio cards. I have also spoke with customer service and technicians at amibicom and they told me that they would start working on creating a new driver. Then the next then I know as i speak to them again, they said that they werent going to have a new driver for WM6 until they create a new card which they dont even have a plan for in the works. So my question is that i was wondering if somebody here either knew of a driver that would work for my card that i have not found or tried yet, or if someone who was knowledgeable with drivers could create one that would work with my card and phone? any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,

HTC Elf on Tmobile USA?

Picked up an unlocked Elf. Having a lot of fun tinkering and learning but have yet to be able to get it to connect to my T-mobile data plan. Any suggestions?? I'm a total noob to Windows based devices, been with other fruit flavors for a while (blackberry, apple...)
Also, by chance anyone know the POP settings for Verizon email, thought I had them, but doesnt seem to want to connect either
Thanks in advance

Article in The Economist about dongles in UK

There was an interesting article about broadband internet access which said that you can use a dongle in the UK and buy a Vodafone SIM card for internet access at some low hourly rate. We dont have that type of thing here in the US.
Does anyone know if I can just use my unlocked 8525 as a modem and buy the SIM card from Vodafone without the dongle itself? Surely the phone should work with the SIM card as a dongle without my needing to buy one in addition? It seems to be called a Huawei E1550 and in any event doesnt seem to be available in the US. Curiously when i tried looking for one, all I could find were unlock services for it, implying that even if I were able to find one, it would probably be locked to some other carrier)
I have a Sprint Novatel dongle for use in the US but am fairly sure it wont work in the UK
Is 3g access a standard feature of the ROMs available here for the 8535 or do I have to install it separately? It doesnt seem to work on my (newer) Wing on my T-Mobile service at all!
I tried looking on the forum but all I could find was a reference to 3gnetopt.zip and various people saying that they hadnt managed to get it to work
