hi guys...i am new to this modding society and all...i was just wonder i got some great hacks for my phone of here...i was wondering is it possible to use a sprint air that has a usb interface to somehow wire it into a wireless router and use that to provide wifi at home for all my computer and just it as a normal aircard...sorry for just posting here i didnt know which form to exactly post in....and thanks for any ideas and help in advance...

HI folks need some urgent advice....
we have got my Daughter a laptop for christmas but as we are away from home she will not be able to use our WIFI. i want to use my Xda Argon (HTC Panda/6300) as a modem so she will be able to use over christmas but (being a newbie) i have no idea how. my daughters laptop is using vista basic. i am on O2 uk.
Could anyone advise what software i need and the steps to link the two together? i would very much appreciate the help, otherwise i will have to face my daughter on christmas day

i got a fancy device SHARP EM ONE(S01SH) into my hand recently. i'm really happy with this new gadget. its definitely better than my previous Jasjar isn't it?!
But now i got one hurdle which really puzzled me:
I just got the device but i don't have a e-mobile sim card, so Wifi or usb host is not enjoyable on this device. So i'm wondering if somebody is playing with this machine and is there any solution to hack it to enable Wifi and USB host?

don't understand your question. Why are you not able to switch on Wifi? Also, I have heard of people who use some prepaid sim-cards with it.

WIFI and USB function got locked if you don't have your simcard inserted into the device. I don't have the sim card....SO i wonder if anybody get any application to unlock this? to make wifi and usb function available even without inserting SIM card.
I believe you need a w-sim card or the hardware can't receive internet data. I don't know why the usb wont work. Maybe there's a hack for the USB but you're better off searching through Japanese websites.

I searched on jpanese google and yahoo japan but fruitless...this device has wifi embedded but without original sim card wifi funcation is not available...what i expect is to enble wifi function even withou sim card inserted. may be there some hack application?

Hi all universal user out there i recently encounter with a problem, my I mate jasjar seems to have problem detecting wifi signal , is there a problem with my software or what ? When I didn't turn on any wifi, it comes out a msg of '' to connect to either internet or work set up a new connecion in settings'' but I couldnt set up any new connections. can any bro help me out with this ?? I am very new to my jasjar now really need help from all the pros out there, much much appreciated.

hi orb, very nice to see u , I have seen u in diffrent post helping around, very nice to have a person like u in the forum. anyway, I am an extremely new pda user. I dono how to check hard reset the phone can I know wad exactly isit ? And I do not have an IP when the wlan is not connected. Is this the same in every universal? I m sorry in advance if I asked anything stupid..

Unit will not wifi. We have other units that wifi. There is a test website for HTC. It requires a id and pw for the test site. Also HTC has a 128mg test porgram to test all functions. Please advise
i also have the same problem with wifi on my o2 xda mini-s. based on what i read it has something to do with the router signal whether its wireless b, wireless g or can support both (wireless b/g)
usually today i think most router is wireless g therefore phones with wireless b capability cannot connect to wireless g routers. and my phone before doesnt even work with router wireless b/g. Maybe we have similar problem.
i think there is a registry hack somewhere..
there i found it.
or what i did was flashed a new rom that has already did the registry hack.
i can connect to wifi now

Dear Janil, thanks for all your help. We have extra mda tmobiles for parts etc. Is the wifi a software program or hardware? The wifi works on our backup mda, but the wifi does not work on this unit.
The issue with the backup mda tht can wifi is the plug to the mda to charge the unit broke off and does not work. We are always running on the battery. Can we use CA glue to put the plug back in the mda? We tried solder that did not work. Any suggestion would be apprecated.
If you want the service manual. We are looking for the sofware test program that HTC service companies have.

Also what new rom are you using? We would like to upgrade to 6.5 or higher. We used x2h_wm6.5_v4.8C rom. Nice program uses a exe file instead of the steps unlock etc. That is when we lost the wifi capibilities. Please advise
first make sure that the phone has a wifi adapter (hardware) but hearing its a mda tmobile (i assume its a HTC wizard model) i think it has already wifi capability by nature. its either the hardware for wifi is broken. test it if you can detect a router signal. if you can detect a router signal then there is hope.
by the way i used TnT series by it's right. though its windows mobile 6.1

my phone instantly can connect to a router.

Dear Jenil, any suggestions for fixing the broken charger plug on the backup mda. Is it better to use CA glue or solder. Please advise
i am not sure what is good for fixing the broken charger. i do not have enough knowledge with regards to hardware things. but i guess someone here can advise you with that.
nonetheless try the rom if ever it would fix your wifi problem with your t-mobile.
one more thing, if it would be your first time flashing a rom then i think you would need this.
Flashing incorrectly may result to bricking/damaging a phone..
