Hello all, I'm having a little problem right now. I have a recently flashed Treo 700wx from verzon which i upgraded to WM6 from their website. Everything has been going great with the upgrade except for one issue, my wifi sdio card is no longer working. It is an ambeon WL54c-sd made by ambicom. I have searched their website and tried pretty much all of their drivers but none of them have the capability for WM6. I have also tried a number of other drivers from either spectec, to palm, and basically any other driver for wifi sdio cards. I have also spoke with customer service and technicians at amibicom and they told me that they would start working on creating a new driver. Then the next then I know as i speak to them again, they said that they werent going to have a new driver for WM6 until they create a new card which they dont even have a plan for in the works. So my question is that i was wondering if somebody here either knew of a driver that would work for my card that i have not found or tried yet, or if someone who was knowledgeable with drivers could create one that would work with my card and phone? any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,

Hi Friends,
I have been using cs-WM5. Its great and cool to use.
I am having XDAII/WM5/Sandisk Wifi card - SDWSDB-000 . It was having challenge in connecting to wifi with WM2003SE itself. But it was intermittnet.
After upgrading my XDAII to WM5, i could not connect to wifi. I am using the driver from sandisk web site. But is is old, 2003 version. Thats all they have.
I am in Singapore. Singapore is having free wireless from this month in most of the places.
Is anyone using this combination XDAII/WM5/sandisk wifi card and workingproperly?
Awaiting yuor experience/suggestions
Thanks CS for your great WM5 Rom.

Better if you ask to the sandisk company (support divison) for new driver, may be you have chance to use it.
Or you can try driver from spectec. And if you lucky (it has the same construction with sandisk), you can still use it with WM5. But let us know the result if you try this way.
But try with your own risk. In my oppinion is no risk to try... this is the link for spectec.

Yeah, the spectec cards will work for WM5 PPC. They are designed to work on WM5 PPC.
I was trying to get it work on the O2 Xphone, thats when I learned from spectec that they will work on WM5 PPC but havent tried it yet
Sorry for the second post...
Waran,
Since u are from singapore, just go to east gear shop in penninsula plaza and tell them you want to try the spectec wifi card before buying it. they will also help you in installing the wifi software.
Hope this helps
Oh almost forgot to say that east gear is on the 2nd or 3rd flor in peninsula plaza.
Hi all,
Just upgraded to the latest released ROM from Leaf (South Africa) for the TyTN. Work lik a charm. Now, maybe I am just to much of a newbie, but the wireless modem application is now replaced with Internet Sharing and this is SLOOOOOOW. Tech support could not help, so I am on my own her. Started to investigate a bit, and got to the conclusion that my connection between Laptop and phone is the problem. The phone is now seen as a network card, and not as a modem anymore, and the driver Win XP uses is by M$. Is there maybe another driver available or maybe a workaround?
Thx
After finally being able to get my Internet working through PDA connect I decided it was time to test out my Tomtom Go 910 with the new Black. When I was running the original cingular rom that came with the phone I was able to connect to TomTom Traffic and weather services only. Now after the upgrade it recognizes my phone but says that wireless data is not available? Is this due to the proxy issue with cingular or is it just that TomTom does not support WM6 at all yet? Or something else? I'm trying to decide if it would be better to revert back to a WM5 system because I really do like Black 2.5. Hopefully it may be a quick fix.
TomTom910 issue
hi buddy,
I'm in the same boat with my Vario II.
Went to WM6 (LVSW) on the phone and all of a sudden TomTom tells me the DUN connection is invalid (Data over Bluetooth I believe).
*VERY ANNOYING* ....
Same Problem Here with tomtom one V4, tried 7 different WM5 & WM6 Roms and 4 different radio roms, still same problem.
Trying to find the original roms to reflash, rather go back to WM5 than waste the 40 euros i paid for the plus services.
Original ROM
I've got a post out there asking where to find them, will pm you if anyone gets back to me mate.
Yet another device that doesn't support the silly PAN profile. Stupid MS developers thought they were doing us a favor by removing DUN.
At least they came to their senses and said they'll work on getting dun implemented again soon...
Anyone else have any luck with this?
sadly no luck, my spv took an unfortunate trip down 2 flights of stairs and replaced by insurance.
tomtom works on my new one ok, aslong as i dont flash it.
Nope
...not yet, still waiting for M$ to add DUN support back in from what I understand.
May be rolling back to WM5
Hi there guys Was wondering if any one can point me in the direction of how to set up my wifi card i bought two days ago, I just called TDMS - T-mobile and spoke to there well trained staff who said they dont have a clue what im on about, My MDA can search for spots no probs and pick them up, But for some reason i just cant connect at all, Do i need to assign for example a specific IP address or Even a certain domain?!?! I know there was a thread in regards to this, But ive looked and it takes me to no further than what im at just now, Any help would be much apppreciated.
Joseph.
Ok since i have posted my last "Q", I have tried my MDA without a sim card in, So my web and walk CANT start, tried using the wifi, But it seems that the MDA is still looking for the GPRS to connect over wifi first, Any solutions around this?! Help would be great
Joseph.

Ok thanks for that.
my wifi sd card also can`t work with wm6!
I have a i-tec SDIO Wlan and it is working better under clean wm6. Having some problems under original ROM. I mentioned the same thing - Charmer tried to connect over GPRS first. Under the clen new ROM with wm6 - there are no pre-deffined connections - wlan works much better. Maybe you needo to install some WM5 drivers to get it work.
I'm using the SpecTec SDW-820 (11 MBit) with my Charmer (T-Mobile Germany, WM5/AKU3.3) and it works quite good. However, from time to time it seems like Windows does not recognize the card. If I insert the card, just nothing happens at all. After a soft-reset, everything is fine again. Strange issue, since it's working most of the time without any trouble.

See that is what i get, The card dose work fine, but when going in to my exteneded memory, It shows no card is present, But i can still pick up hotspots with it
hi, does anyone know of a wifi card that works with the charmer running wm6?
gettin real bored of websites sayin they dont have one for wm6! cheers.
hello bro...
can you help me with sim tool kit...
my O2 IIs can't access sim tool kit after upgrading in to WM6...
do yo have the software for STK?
thx for solution before...
same issue here, i serched the forum and didnt see anyone else with similar issues so hadnt had time to post so i thought it was and issue with my sim,
It's everyones issue. If you upgraded to WM6.1 there is no way you can access or use your SIM TOOL KIT. I have the same issue. Although I can see the menus but if I select them nothing will happen.
if someone want to use the toolkit so badly - use WM2003SE roms - there STK working fine, and remember none of the WM5/6/6.1 roms supposed to work on BA, so the job we do is to make it work, but there are few side effects like the wlan enable issue and STK which we can not solve...
ok thanks a lot for the answer...
i REALLY REALLY appreciate what you guys are doing here but if there was a possibility of it being solved i was just hoping somebody would do so, its not vital, but it would make these custom roms PERFECT, cos i havnt found anything else that hasnt worked.
my BA seems to me like its working better than some htc stuff that shipped with 6.1
and i dont have the wlan enable issue either so that make stk the only issue i have,
(actually i also have the B+C call waiting alert issue but i dont think it has anything to do with the roms you guys are making, the feature simply dosnt exist in WM, if one of you adds it you deserve a million bucks from Microsoft)
many thanks for the work you are doing and peace out bro.
to clear about wlan, i mean the enabling from comm manager can not be done without first turning on wifi from settings - this is the side bug i mean
about stk i will have to dig a lil bit in the first BA wm5 rom i think it worked there ... but i do not want to make promises, because i have no much free time to deal with WM revese engineering ... but maybe in near future i will tri and have definite answer about the stk, you know that the chance is 50/50 work/not work so i will try, test and tell you for sure if it is possible
