I spoke to HTC today about why we can't use wii controllers . They claimed I was the first person to ask about this. Lol. If we all send them an email it will help escalate them responding to fixing their Bluetooth stack. So please reply to this post after you send HTC an email ..that way we can start flooding HTC with emails to help fix this..than you all for your help
Ok I already see 35 views and no posts or replies that tells me that in Just in an hour or so almost 40 peeps looked at this post ...let's send HTC some emails and get them to fix this
I made a post like this on androidforums and I included a link. In htc's response to me, they blamed google and told me to write to them to fix in in android.
In the links below you'll see absurd responses from htc. The lowest link will take you direct to htc email support contacts.

I emailed and am curious what they'll say.

I hadn't tried the wii controller app with my Incredible. It worked on my Eris though.
so on your eris ( do you have sense rom) you have a wii controller working? could you post a video of that. i have yet to see anyone get a sense rom to be able to connect...
luv it... ty again for info.... i think the only way to get this done is emailing so keeep it up everyone
My email written to htc support, today:
"Hello,
I wrote to you months ago to request support for a full bluetooth stack on the HTC Incredible. The response I received from HTC Support was more than disappointing. HTC Support instructed to write to Google Android development and request that bluetooth be included in the Android core code.
I have friends who have also written to you requesting full support of bluetooth to be included on the HTC Incredible. HTC Support gave different answers to each user -- all the answers were incorrect.
Other ROMs on HTC Incredible do support full bluetooth features, but we choose to keep the stock Sense ROM from HTC. The luster of Sense stock ROM is dulled when users write to HTC Support and receive responses that blame other conditions except HTC developers.
I'm writing this lengthy email to HTC Support to fully inform you, We are not interested in any excuses on why full bluetooth support is not included on the HTC Incredible. We are very savvy on the other roms that exist for the incredible that do support full bluetooth features.
So please, simply add the full bluetooth stack, and bluetooth software modules, which allow bluetooth keyboards and bluetooth mice to connect to the Incredible.
Thanks.. You have my phone number and email address."
I also fixed the lower link in my first email.
thank you luvit
awesome... now if a few hundred of us do the same maybe we will at least get htc to acknowledge this problem.
I got the answer of we acknowledge this issue but there is no scheduled fix in the works.

Lets just keep writing to them
Just wrote 'em. I would love to be able to play Super Mario World on my Dinc without having to go to cm, I can't seem to get away from Virtuous but I want my Mario!!!
Hmm, actually got a very nice, understanding response!
"I understand how important it is for you to be able to use your device to its fullest extent and I apologize for any inconvenience and frustration this has caused you.
I will forward your request to the proper department for review. Hopefully we can see the next update having the Bluetooth stack you are referring to. I am also an Incredible user and I would love to see this happen as well. Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your inquiry."
Maybe they aren't so bad! I really hope they include this on Gingerbread, i would be a happy man
That looks promising.. Perhaps the person answering emails earlier this year got fired. Maybe the one that answered your email is a hot female.
I do believe her to be a hot female. Victor answered me... He was not a hot female.

I just sent an e-mail to HTC as I am also awaiting an update to the Sense framework's Bluetooth stack.
Balls; I was stonewalled. Here is an excerpt from the response e-mail from HTC -
"Thank you for your email regarding your HTC Droid Incredible. We certainly understand your concern and wanting to make the most out of your device use. HTC does not support this connection and cannot alter the Bluetooth programming of a device for an unsupported function. We will document your concern for review in development of our upcoming devices. At this time, we have no further information to provide on your concern."
So.. .inconsistent
update
okay no news from htc .... but check this out.... a new app to let you use your bt headset(mono phone earpiece) to listen to music .. or, well, anything you play. It is a nice app but too pricey. >99 is ok not $3 any way im thinking if he did this someone should be able to just make an app for this,
Hi guys,
I might buy a HD2 and I want to do everything that a current DHD or DesireZ can do. So keeping this in mind what are things that I shouldnt expect from HD2 ?
Does it delivers every thing that a nexus one /desire/DZ/DHD deliver ?
I wanted to buy DHD... But its not available in US. Its quite expensive also. And no other options for 4.3 Inch screen
Thanks, Help me decide whether or not to buy this phone as an altenative for desire Z/Desire HD

I don't quite understand what you're asking. You're asking for help with a decision, but from what I'm reading, there is only one option?
To answer your more obvious question, I believe development for DHD/DHZ has stagnated, and the only thing it's missing is the camera. Not sure when/if devs will finish that. The Evo, desire, and nexus builds are pretty much 100% done though
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
If you're in the US, why don't you buy an Evo? I'm sure the new Sense will be ported to it (if it hasn't been already).
If you want the ability to switch between Windows Mobile and different Android builds, get the HD2.
If you want a native Android phone with similar (not the same though, before the pedants flame me) hardware to the HD2 get the Desire.
If you want a more up dated similar Android phone get the Desire HD.
If you want a hardware keyboard get the Z.
Thats pretty much it sport
Thanks
Coming to a conclusion that this phone is not a pure native android phone
Its better I w8 for Nexus S or go with DHD
As a TMOUS user I would just get the Desire HD if it was my first phone and I had the upgrade option. But I didnt, so I wanted the next best thing, a phone I could convert into a Desire HD, which was the HD2. I found one new in the box on craigs list for $250 and shelled out. Studied up on modding it and made it look like the Desire HD.
I'm also a TMOUS user and found one of craigslist for under 200. Until they come out with a new 4.3 android phone, this will be it for me. I don't get the data drops and the only issue I come across is the 10 second lag in autorotate with the touchscreen. I'll take that. If the Desire HD (or comparable) ever comes to the US that's what I will move to
Looks like camera fix is available on Desire HD builds now....
what you shouldn't expect a droid hd2...prefection.some builds are still WIP or some bugs not resolved.
then we have the nand camp who wants droid on their fone, wiping out winmo completely.this is still WIP.and still some impt issues not resolved.
other than that,hd2 is pretty impressive even with stock winmo.not that much of a diff between dhd other than a updated hardware.
if you like cutomising the hell out of ur fone but lack the money,go for hd2.you get spoilt to booting winmo cooked rom or droid builds available in the forums.

I dont know how you don't know that? It's a windows mobile 6.5 phone. How can a windows phone be a pure native android phone? If you are looking for a phone that can do exactly what a DHD or a Desire Z, you would have to get one of those phones as no other phone currently runs the new htc sense. The closest phone to a DHD or a Desire Z in US is an EVO 4G.
hi everybody
ive come up with an idea, now the android builds/roms we use are normally from other android phones,Each android phone does something a bit different compared to others. Now Htc desire HD rom is slightly Different from a Desire Z rom.heres my idea, how about combining all the different features of the sence roms into one big build, you would need to use data to sd(euro hd2) Unfortunently im no dev,im just a graphic designer, heres what im thinking, base would be 2.3 gingerbread or froyo 2.2.1,have the menu from the nexus s(2.3),dunno if thats a 2.3 feature or not.720p recording if we can get that working,Evo keyboard,Strait bar lockscreen, bit like from the HD mini,Evolution sence bar(the bit at the bottom with the menu phone and personalise buttons),Framework close to stock but with a Battery indicator,Rotatable Sence From the Desire Z,Music player from Desire HD,Would be a big rom but crammed full of features, best of everything, obviusly HTC wont bring out android update for us so lets all do it.The Unofficial HTC HD2 android Rom,Any Devs wanna take up the challenge
I like the idea, but I think it would be impossible to do. htc employs teams of engineers working on these builds full time for one. And they have all the best in equipment and testing. So resources is an issue right off the bat.
In addition to that, I'm sure there's a reason why you can't move data.imgs from one build to another, they're probably not compatible.

Like the reply above me says... we don't have an army of devs and millions of $ to spend on development. It's amazing what the devs have been able to do, but the main reason they have accomplished what they have is because there were similar devices we were able to port from. We are running a port... I don't think the hd2 will ever have its own Rom not taken from another device.

The Matrix
Dude, its a nice thought but to wuote agent smith. Your living in a dream world neo.
i think it is possible, just take a bit of time, you just gotta look at it from a different angle.i have a theory about how to do it just a Dev would need actually need to do it,could even set up a Bounty if needs be but would be great to see.Base Rom we can use The desire Z 2.2.1 rom as base as its lighter than HD,i dont think Gingerbread is coming to desire Z just yet.So use that. Then incorperate the Desire HD music player(i have an apk for that)Near original framework but with a battery percentage in the battery icon(i have an apk for that).Evolution Sence bar or rEvolution you can get here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=891520 ,Evo keyboard i think we can use HTC_IME wich i have an apk for aswell, you would need to use data to sd wich has allready been done becouse it would be a big build,All we need is for someone to bring em all together to Creat the rom,If somebody was wanting to do it i can put those apk up on here for download
Okay, I can't believe I actually have to ask this question. I've read comments all over the web from people who got the new Gingerbread OTA update for their Nexus One's Feb 28th, but I haven't seen any actual screenshots of the UI (just of the About Phone page).
Engadget says the update comes from Google, which to me means AOSP. If I had instead heard it came from HTC, I would then assume it was Sense. With no new ROMs (as of the writing of this post) based on the new build, I have no other information recourse.
Can someone please just tell me if this new OTA update has Sense installed or not?
The Nexus one is (i think!) built by HTC though it has no HTC branding. It has Standard Android OS - No Sense!
Hope this helps!
the nexus doesnt use sense, only htc phones use sense

Thank you for your input, but the Nexus One was built by HTC.
No more like HTC branded phones only use sense e.g. HTC Desire, HTC HD2/LEO, HTC Desire HD (You don't see a HTC Nexus one on it's name do you?). The nexus one is a google branded phone, hence the name Google Nexus One. So it will never receive sense in any of its updates.
Let me post this link to put the flaming down to a minimum here:
http://www.htc.com/www/product/nexusone/specification.html
No where does it say that there will never be sense on the device.

A couple of days ago HTC removed the entire HD2 section from their Norwegian website. I am linking to some of their support articles on my website and got a message about broken links. I went to htc.com/no (norwegian site) to investigate, and ALL info about the HD2 is GONE. NO support, downloads, accessory shop, nothing.
Does this mean that the HD2 is now officially abandoned by HTC?
the question is, do we need their support? i mean we got dev's who have been far greater at supporting the hd2 then htc ever was. n as for accessories, there are more then many 3rd parties providing that! so cheer up, n enjoy the glorious life of the great hd2~
Gone from the UK site as well so it seems we are (still) on our own
We are only now
But Hd2 isn't done with Htc
US Version Still Available
I went to www.htc.com, and typed in HD2 in the search box. I got a link that took me to the HD2 pages. I could even search for T-Mobile stores in my area. Whether they still have any HD2 phones for sale is another matter. I doubt HTC is manufacturing any more HD2s. Once stock is gone, that will be it except for the secondary market for used HD2s.
Help pages still exist for the UK section of the site http://www.htc.com/uk/help/htc-hd2/index.page?
Haven't seen anything about ROM updates though, which I swear there used to be
hd2
in israel to bat i love my hd2 and xda thenx mate's

HTC was done with HD2 a year ago.
HD2 is my first contact with HTC and I personaly feel betrayed by them.
As far as HTC is concerned HD2 has been terrible experience. About 3-4 months after I bought HD2 last update came from htc and so before half of my warranty time expired HD2 was considered absolete by both MS and HTC. If I had to use WinMo all this time I would replace this phone long time ago.
Few days ago I sent HD2 to authorized service to replace HW buttons and they wanted to replace keyboard flat cable, PBA (not sure what it is...my guess was the board) and something that holds screen. Price for repair was 290 euros!!!
I just paid them for diagnostics and left by mentaly gaving them the finger.
When I asked them why they need to replace entire phone just because flat cable is broken, their response is that htc policy is that they have to return the phone to me in factory condition....also they noted that I am using unauthorized OS
My next contract is open in may....and from this point I dont think it is going to be a htc phone....but I will see then.
Devs on XDA are the one that made it great. And I consider them as only support HD2 had for my time of using this phone.
I had (and still having) so much fun using Android on it. I am forever greatfull to any dev and users who contributed to changing my experience from high-powered phone with crappy and absolutete OS to a great android experience.
I think that the better question we should ask and fear is "When the developers are going to be done with HD2".....

Agree 100%
NAND android still seems very popular, and WP7.5 is too.
Hopefully DFT will bring out magldr 1.14 soon, possibly enabling better linux support.
Which may re-kindle interest in porting linux flavours to HD2.
There are still a lot of HD2s out there combined with the fact that there does not seem to be a nailed-on mod-able replacement around (for me ATM), indicates that HD2 development should continue for a while yet.

I sincerely hope you are right.
I am little sceptic if we will ever see another magldr update and personaly I would prefer rmnet support for cLK more.
Development on HD2 has a lot of space for improving, but most of it is probably wont be finished because of HD2 not being native android device and has radio that is designed to work with windows environment and it is hard to make it work as good as it could get.
I installed CM7 on a friends Galaxy Ace yesterday, which is lower device then HD2 but in many areas work a lot better, like smooth touch, real dual touch, camcorder that records in more than 15-20 fps......
If only htc would help us by providing another radio everything would change for HD2 I guess. But that aint happening.
Last chance have lots of inquiries!

Of course they'd fine you the price of repairs, you have voided the warranty.
You should have removed HSPL from your device and put back the original, it isn't HTC's fault .
