Hi,
Since the famous sudden data loss back in January this year
the 2.3.3 update seemed to solve it, and on the 2.3.4 the problem did not appear, until now.
So I brought a brand new SIM but there are still sudden data loss (3G network have no connection).
I am using a stock 2.3.4 and not a rooted device, what do you think cause it? there is a rom that can solve it?
Thanks guys!
Same here. I have never experience such problem since Jan with 2.3.0 but the reboot bug. I am on 2.3.4 since the first week it come. Found this problem about 1 month ago and become worse everyday. Data and sometimes full signal drops more than 5 times during an 1 hour journey travelling between office and home. I was wondering it may due to the recent launch of LTE and HSPA+ from HKCSL. Would like to know if anyone else having the same issue with different carriers.

I am in the Philadelphia area (excellent coverage of 3G & 4G according to Sprint) with a 2 month old Evo 4G. Everything in the beginning was peachy (I left ATT/3GS for Sprint) but now with full 3G bars, my connection constantly resets. Internet will not load, Pandora stops and pick a new track minutes later, nothing updates. I want to know if this is a widespread problem and what I can do about it.
I am running the most updated stock rom with Launcher Pro. I haven't really changed anything else. It is starting to annoy me. I am familiar with the 4G issues but never had a problem with 3G till now.
Any ideas or advice? I would say it started in the last week or so.
After you update your prl and profile, call sprint tech support since you're stock.
Ive been having problems like this for the last 2 days. Its just been slow, stuttering for no reason. I called sprint. Update profile and prl. Its been a little better today.

Been having this same issue out here in the Seattle area, not sure why. I'm rooted but it just started even though I haven't changed anything...
My DX seems to be dropping signal from 3G to 1X constantly. I'll go from full bars on 3g to 1 bar on 1X? I did the *228 option 2, I update my PRL often.
I'm still on stock 2.2.1 w/ root. Does anyone know what could be causing this. I've had this problem since I bought it in November.
Thanks.
I've had similar issues for a couple months now. Verizon tells me they are upgrading the Alltel towers here (east central Ohio). Every time I ask them about it they tell me it should be ironed out by the end of the week or some time the following week.

Also have this problem from time to time, but I'm on Fission 2.4.3. No idea what's causing it, but I may SBF and take it back to Verizon.
Yeah mine does this as well. Only fix I know of is to turn airplane on and wait a sec and turn it off and poof, 3G again.
I don't think it has anything to do with upgrading their towers though, it's likely to get you out of the store and to save them time from giving you a replacement. I can only think it's something with the antenna in the phone.
the update was supposed to also update the radio portion of the phone. Did you get the update?
The baseband I have BP_C_01.09.07P This may vary by geographic area.
I had this issue when on the stock ROM, but it has not happened in the weeks since going to the 320 leak and now to the 340 OTA.

I have been with TMo for about 8 years and have never really had any problems. Just recently (last month or so) I have had all sorts of issues with my reception. At home it would appear that the phone is constantly switching cell towers, one of which is GSM only the other provides HSDPA. This constant switching often causes their to be periods of no signal.
Secondly, I have recently started receiving text messages twice and three times and often hours/ days after they were sent.
Just wondered if anyone from the UK have been experiencing the same issues and any ideas to help solve this issue as its really bugging me.
I was with tmobile in the uk until last week. I've never had trouble with texts or calls but For months I've been getting terrible Internet speeds during the day roughly 9am till 10pm (0.001 the norm) so frustrating.
I tried a giff gaff sim and it's superb usually around 3, 4 and 5 mb speed anytime of day.
Plain and simple EE is your problem they have buggered the data, my mate's orange data speeds were fine u till they came around people should be ringing and complaing

Possibly due to sharing the networks between orange and t mobile? I'm on t mobile and if anything I've seen an improvement.

I have a slightly different issue. My data stops working even though it shows 4G signal connected. The up arrow is blinking but the down arrow is not. It happens randomly and will also start working after some time and then stop working again. None of the services work when its not working like opening any site with the browser fails. I am annoyed with this. The same SIM when used on my Nokia 920 doesn't do this. It's constantly working for days. Something with my Note 3. Not rooted. N9005 LTE. UAE. Is there any way to diagnose this? If I restart the phone it starts working again immediately. I don't want to do a factory reset.
there r some apps on market which will alert u if lost data connection and allow u to reset the service by 1 touch
did you solve this problem or just installed that app?
tried to switch firmwares?

My Three sim card was awful for signal on my note no matter what area I was in, but turned out it was a bad card.. My O2 sim has full signal and full 4G connection though all the time anywhere.
My Vodafone 4g had been pretty sheeeit since I've had it. They can't explain why. So last few days I'm on stock and just rooted... Not that many mods and it seems to be holding much better signal and showing LTE as well. Getting 91db whereas it was 101db before.... I dunno what's going on

Just an FYI - Vodafone having massive signal issues currently. - AFAIK they're fixing some borked network routers
They went out of action totally last week for a few hours and have yet to fully recover

I think you are right.... I've not paid anything to them since I had the contract. Refunded £65 this month as well..... Lucky is a 12month jobbie....

Yeah 12month thing with me on O2 also, they don't officially have 4G here in York yet, however I have it full currently. I was gonna go with Vodafone, but couple of my mates have it and they've had non-stop issues similar to yours -- And they're the most bloody expensive too! :\

From previous experiences... Signal was always the best but it's been 3 years since I had them..... And boy have they gone shhhhit. I got o2 contract as well but not 4g as they hadn't rolled any out and weren't even promising to do so. My local Vodafone store told me how they have bought the best equipment and all that shhhhhhit and I thought it to be true..... Man was I wrong. I suppose free phone for nothing as it stands.... So not all bad lol

So ive had the phone since launch and in the past 3-4 months i'd lose signal quite often during normal usage. But in the past month it happens pretty much every time I use it. Im on T-Mobile and I know they had some problem with the Nexus phones on their service back in August but I thought that would have been fixed by now. And then an hour ago I lost service and I cannot get it back at all no matter what I do. Im on stock 7.0 Nougat, non rooted. Ive tried all the resetting methods and what not but no go.
Any help would be appreciated, hopefully its not hardware related
I don't think it's hardware. I have the same issue on my device. Rebooting usually brings it back for me for a while

Same issue here... I RMA'd my device last week and same exact issue on this new device. I'm also on T-Mobile and I even got a new sim...
If you keep up with T-mobile news. They've been getting outages intermittently in certain locations.
It's gotten so annoying I can't even use the phone unless I'm on wifi. It cuts off service like every 10 seconds no matter how strong the signal is
I've attached a pic of the service menu.. Everytime the service goes out it always switched to the CDMA network even tho T-Mobile is LTE and what not
mines been doing this too, even wifi calling will go to no service sometimes.
I've only noticed it since I've been on benzo rom tho, not sure if its related.
OK so my theory was true, tested it many times.. looks like something in software or hardware of the 6p is making it switch from LTE to CDMA causing it to drop service and then I have to manually switch it back to LTE
I feel as though it's related to the cell towers. I spent the weekend in DC and I didn't have any issues whatsoever. I came home to Pittsburgh and within 30 minutes if being home I had my first loss of service
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I'm in Atlanta where they should have good service but it's everywhere around here it happens
I just opened a ticket with T-Mobile so I'll follow up with whatever feedback they provide me withing the next 72 hours!
