[Q] Is my TF101 gone south? - Eee Pad Transformer General

When using the ez-unrooting method, my TF101 becomes unbootable. Pressing all the button combinations also failed to work.
Is my TF101 dead?

Do you have the power cable plugged in?

Yes, the power cable is plugged. Also, the same happens when I docked the TF101. Looks to me this thing is dead

Mine did the same thing twice now; while trying to root or flash or whatever...
Just leave it plugged in for an hour or two...and then try again...

KF won't turn on

My Kindle Fire suddenly power off, I try to turn on again, but no luck.
I try to hold the power button for 20 second, then release and press power button again, it still can't turn on.
May I have any other idea?
Thanks!

Try doing an overnight recharge. There was a post at mobile reads that described a similar issue.

Do you have a programming cable? It might charge with one of those. I made my own when I had a similar problem. Just Google it.

I experienced a similar situation with my kindle fire. the problem I had is the kindle went into a sleep of death and the battery died. Nothing I tried would wake it up. Plugging in the charger would result in no charging. LED status would not change or even light up.
Solution:
Connect the kindle to the factory charging cable and while it connected perform a hard reset by pressing the power button for longer than 20 seconds. Once this happened the kindle started charging again and once it had about 3% it would power up again.
Hope this helps.

First of all, completely switch off your phone. Take out the battery, and wait for 5 minutes. Then press volume+ then power button and keep holding them. If you factory reseted then you should still have your ROM installed. What happens when you connect the phone to the charger?

If when connected to the charger only a white LED lights up, then mostly your battery is dead. Charge it using McGyver method (search for the xda thread by sorensiim) or a universal battery charger or a new charged battery.

Make SURE your friend's phone is a Defy/Defy+. I'm pretty sure the problem is with your battery running out of charge. Otherwise you're doing the procedure to open bootloader wrong.

Then i'm afraid you may have to change motherboard. Go to any Moto service center and get it replaced, I can't help you further.

My S4(octa) turns off by itself.

HI,
I am using octa core S4.
4.2.2 (rooted)
whenever I insert usb cable or the charger to charge my phone, it turns off by it self. I can see the battery on my display(that one which appears when you charge your phone when it is switched off.). But that is not stable either. it goes and comes again and again.

You don't need change the battery maybe. This seems a problem of:
1. The USB charger. You can buy other OFFICIAL without problem.
2. The charging port. It can be fixed in the service center or maybe your wanna try for yourself: HERE

Nothing :/
the device wont turn on, the device wont charge (i have tried different socket/desktops, and also different chargers), and i cant boot into bootloader / recovey mode.
Note: when i performed the steps on the internet, when i plugged in the cable, the Red LED light in turning on for about 15-20 seconds, and then turning off.
what can i do except for going to a lab?

You can try this, if you didn't have already:
- Plug your phone to the charger while holding down the volume down button. Your device should boot into bootloader mode.
- If the above doesn't work, then let your phone charge for half an hour and try it again.

When you plug the cable in, you must press down the volume down button simultaneously. Not just only plug the cable in.

since the LED truned on i didn't disconnected the cable from the device, and the LED didn't turned off.
i dont know if to remove the cable right now, because if it is finally charging, i dont want to stop it and mess it up again.
so what now?
edit: i didn't disconnected the cable yet. but the Red LED turned off.

You are charging from the electrical outlet, are you?
Just let it charge for at least two hours, it is a good sign that the LED went on.
Furthermore this red LED also known as 'red light of death' is a common issue of Nexus devices. It's an indicator for the batterie not to charge or because there was a thermal shutdown cause by too much heat and you only can solve this by screw off your device.
I hope you dont must go this far. Just be patient and wait what happens after the charging period.

i have just noticed that the phonr is not charging at all.
its like before the Red LED turned on for a few minutes..
Did you also try to charge it with another cable? Try again to press down volume down key and plug in the cable.
By 'not charging at all' do you mean, there isnt this batterie logo when charging?
Edit: Try this volume-down-plug-in-cable a couple of time. It may not work the first time you do it.

search "red light of death".
leaving it on the charger might fix it. taking off the back cover, disconnecting the battery, then reconnecting the battery is an almost 100% fix.

6T Dead

Hi!
Went to bed last night and plugged my 6t in the original charger and cable.
