can we replace the drivers of the magic roms with the drivers of the huawei u8230 to get a working rom ??

We've achieved interesting results recently.
Having 2.6.32 kernel ported to u8230 device, now we can run nearly any rom from Huawei's msm7225 phones:
- um840,
- u8150 Ideos,
- m860 Ascend,
- u8500.
After replacing radio/wifi libs roms are becoming nearly fully functional.
So potentially Magics roms can be ported. One just should have enough will to experiment!
BTW, we also have cm9 prototype running already

Is there a way to get MIUI on our device?

I would to know if our device can get miui...? Why can't we get it? :0
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
Some MIUI apps make use of flash, and since ARMv6 CPU doesn't support it we can't have an MIUI ROM, however there are some MIUI themes, you may want to try them out, or port them for the ROM you're using
Yeah i know...but i read that they are working on a miui rom for th htc hero and htc hero is arm6...so is there any hope?

[IDEA] Port HTC MSM7X30 .35 kernel?

I have been looking around recently, and noticed we only have the .32 kernel, which is made for froyo.
CyanogenMod team are apparently upgrading all MSM7x30 devices to the 3.0 kernel.
I was wondering for in the meantime, some HTC phones are MSM7x30 (DHD) and have .35 kernel source, would it be possible to port a kernel?

Won't we end up with no touch pads and xloud without the libs for the .35 (that don't exist)

Touchpads is ROM related, the whole touchpad goes under a generic multi-touch mouse pad if I remember correctly.
About this, I tried but cant compile, some major porting needs to be done and I just don't have the time.

htc desire z ics miui: port?

www.technetspark.com/2012/01/how-to...-1-miui-4-rom-on-htc-desire-z-g2how-to-guide/
theres a ics miui port for the desire z. maybe a dev can port it for our phone?
Sent from my Ideos X5 using XDA App
This should be on general.
There is no port, and porting would require ics drivers for our phone. There are no "perfect" drivers yet, so they would require work too.

How to install rom
Is it same as cm 7 stable
Sent from my Blade using XDA
if you have already installed a custom rom and have root and clockwork mod recovery installed and you phone is GEN2 you can install the rom like cm7 stable
to check if your phone is GEN2 download mr pigfish from the android market
Is Targetbsp/BurgerZ better than CM7 nightlies? I'm considering between Targetbsp 8/3, BurgerZ 12/3 or CM7 12/3 builds
targetspb keeps his builds vanilla which is the same as cm7 nightly but with the new stuff added and burgerz adds a few twists to the cm7 nightlies he builds
ps - both are goods devs with stable roms mate

Are they now used in roms as ColdFusionX? Will this make more chances for official CM9 for our devices to be released?
They aren't in coldfusionx as they were released after it. And there are no "chances" we will definitely get a TomG stable build soon
Sent from my Supernatural Blade
Yay they released them
Cant wait to see what can be done with them
