As per the title, which sense rom is stable and fast - Also do they all support internet pass through (using the computers internet on the phone - The Htc HD2 is having issues with my wifi so to get faster internet besides my 3g I need this )
Try these:
prj Clean Desire 0.32 (only Nand)
Skink Clean Desire (Nand and SDEXT)
Try boxmax's roms.even his sense3 roms aren't so slow.but sense2 ones are much better

Try Coredroid V1.6, by far the best build ever on HD2. It is what forced me to flash my phone. And many many others

Can anyone suggest a good camcorder app. As we all know stock app needs the trackball to start recording so i need one that doesnt
I would suggest qik however on the shub froyo rom video is working fine on stock app give it a try.

thanks
thanks man thats great. qik works great
I use the qik for Evo version. It records at a higher resolution than the standard version.
Tried to install Qik for Evo, but always gets "application not installed". I found it here. Can You post your working version?
Neither qik or ancorder work for any builds as Gator said if you east camcorder use shubCRAFT cm6 although darkatone is supposed to be releasing a build with 1 later.

That's weird as I have tried just about all the builds available and one of the first apps I install is Wikipedia and have had no problems running it.

Regards,
A moment ago, in another similar post, a colleague recommended lgcamera app. It is in android market.
Runs better than the current native camcorder. It looks a little slow, but better.

The camcorder is one of the known issues with Sense 2.1/3.0/3.5 builds. We have to wait for Devs to fix it (which they quite possibly will never do). As for the memory thing, Sense uses a lot of RAM and a lot of ROM, can't do much about that either. If it's RAM you want, try a different launcher, it may free some RAM up.
Greetings Nigeldg,
Sorry for trying an old issue! I have little time here,
anyway thank you for your information and patience with me.
Thank you very much.

No problem Plus reopening an old thread is tonnes better than opening a new one asking exactly the same question as another one, didn't really think it through the first time around
hi Guys,
I've been using Desire HD or Desire Z series NAND roms just to get the internet pass through working on the phone. this works wonder with the HTC sync.. However recently I've been bravely step into Gingerbread 2.3 NAND by MDJ and would like to ask if there's a way to have internet pass through going for CYANOGEN 7, gingerbread, non-HTC DEsireHD or DezireZ series..
bump! i need respond for this as well
Are you referring to tethering? Using your 3g on your computer? Yes it is possible. Check the description of each rom. It will give specifics on if a rom has the ability to tether and how to use it.

No, it's the reverse of tethering.
I don't think it's possible in non-Z or HD roms.

no, its not posible. internet pass trough is a htc sync feature and since gingerbread is a non sense rom htc sync doesn't detect the phone
So is there a third party app that can do this. I really feel this is missing in Gingerbread, I often use this on Andoid 2.2 builds

Good question, that's the main reason I don't use Gingerbread.

Sorry my friend...
It is a feature that is only available (ATM, at least) in Desire Z (maybe DHD too?).
This feature is very useful when you want to download big file to your device (such as download a game). This is useful if you dont have a wifi network.
My Xperia Arc (gingerbread) also lacks this feature
Cheers
Hi all, I have not been around here for a while due to commitments but I'm back now and wondering what is the best and most stable ROM around at the moment?
I'm using a m-deejay rom at the moment on my HD2 but I have allways had some problems with the GPS and the 3G connection dropping.
Could someone recommend a ROM with the features working and pretty easy to run from my SD card?
Many thanks in advance

First of all, ALL roms posted here are great and it is very difficult to decide which one is best. It totally depends on one's taste and requirements. But if you ask for my fav ROM then it's AmericanAndroid's SD ROM.
Thanks very much for the replies guys!
I'm just testing out american droid now. Can't find the andriod market place on there though

Just look for the answers in the ROM thread, you will get everything there
Enjoy your HD2!!!
I have tried. RAFDROID. DESIRE HD and AmericanDroid.. i found AmericanDroid the smoothest.
I like the Sense UI but Rafdroid and Desire Hd are laggy at times while running..
i like to know which is the most smooth Sense UI SD ROM.
Does anyone do something in issue USB or Wifi Tethering ?
Still waiting for some proposal how to solve it.
Tethering will be available in DFT Freedom ROM v2.

Any info about USB tethering?
English is a foreign language to me so I'm very clumsy at forum searching.
I want to use USB tethering because it seemed to use less battery. While my HD2 WP7 is WiFi tethering it uses so-much battery that even 1A charger cant keep.

You want everything working properly? Closest you'll get is a DesHD Froyo ROM (obviously not MCCM's SD one but basically a NAND version) or maybe a Sense 2.1 ROM (I think everything works on those)
To me that's like asking where is the best place to get stabbed at
Why not try CM7? It's fast as hell! (Dorimanx' Latest)
Are sense ROMs really that bad on the HD2 then? I thought they were bad on the Wildfire! I gotta say that I quite like sense but after looking around these ROMs CM9 is just too tempting
They work, but not fast enough for me though
You should definitely try AOKP ICS(CM9), they fixed the hardware acceleration!
That should make a BIG difference in speed.
