[Q]Gameloft Games for Acer or Xoom? - Acer Iconia A500

Hey there people ^^,how are you doing ?
I have a small and same time ,a question i dont even know myself the answer.
I have an Acer Iconia A500 Tablet, and i've installed Virtous Xoom 3.2,now my question is ...if im looking for games for me tablet, should i be looking for the Acer version or the Xoom version?
I mean,i do have Xoom ROM ,but in the inside, its still an Acer...
Any tips?^^
Asking this cause i've installed Acer versions, and they FC when you try to start them or inside the game, but i did also installed Xoom versions and they FC while you play them.
Eventhought most of them are just modified LG 2x Versions,im still confused tbh.
Thanks in advanced.

Just go to gameloft.com and church games for acer. Yesterday I bought nova 2 there with my acer and virtuous galaxy rom and it works great

[Q] hardware similar to g tablet?

hi i have been looking for tablets around and at the moment for the price this advent seems just the best[= but i was wondering is the hardware similar enough to tablets like the g tablet for their roms to work? like if they got a honeycomb port would it work on the advents[= any help is greatly appreciated[=
I think that the only one diference is the wifi radio.
Awh thanks hoping advent gives it some honeycomb goodness
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

[Q] People running custom roms - can you see "Sketchbook Pro" in the market?

[Q] People running custom roms - can you see "Sketchbook Pro" in the market?
The app "Sketchbook Pro" doesn't show up on my stock leaked 3.1 rom, nor does it under Virtuous XooM's 3.2 market. I really, really want to buy this app (just bought a nice Griffin stylus for use with it) but it won't show up under my market.
I'm about to try Virtuous Picasso, but I don't really have high hopes. The annoying part of this is that I know the app will run -- the trial version, Sketchbook Express, shows up in both markets and runs fine on both the stock and Virtuous Xoom roms. Apparently, ASUS Transformer 3.1 users are having the same problem with this app. I've attempted to contact Autodesk by commenting on the App, by their webform, and by phone, but I have received no response.
Tldr; Could you go into the market, search for "Sketchbook Pro," and tell me if it's available for purchase?
Also, if there's a file I could edit to trick the market into letting me buy the app, I'd be open to that as well. Thanks guys
EDIT: Works in virtuous Picasso 3.1 (which is funny, as the rom is named after a famous artist)! Hopefully this will help someone else in my situation.
I'm on Falcon Galaxy now with thor's kernel and I can see it and purchase it.
Running Honney Vill with latest kernel and see it no problems.
Are you at the Android market or Google market..?
I am running lightspeed and see it fine.
Probably and issue with your build.prop file.

CM7 on A500?

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has thought about porting CM7 to the A500? I run CM7 on my Thunderbolt and love it...and while I know that it is Gingerbread, I would still be interested in checking it out on a tablet. I have read that CM7 has tablet tweaks and stuff.
Unfortunately, I am no dev...however if there are any devs out there who are bored and looking for something to do this might be fun
Thanks!
yup, I bought my iconia last week, and ran a search on the whole iconia forum for "cyanogenmod" and got 0 hits. When I asked about that I got some responses about how CM7 ran on 2.3, so our honeycomb ROMs on 3.x were already more advanced, like they didn't know about google forking Android for the honeycomb line. While I'm enjoying my iconia with OC taboony, as far as I can tell all of the hc changes have more to do with being flashy than functional. I expect we'll see more tablet love from CM devs with icecream sandwich, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at an unofficial port in the meantime.

Leaked Ice Cream Sandwich Market

Hi all,
it seems ICS's market has been leaked as well...
Following instructions here it is working for me nicely on honeyvillain 1.2 :
http://www.droid-life.com/2011/10/10/download-android-market-version-3-2-0/
have fun,
schaze
Great find. Hopefully we don't get fc's like the other recent ics leaks. Will test this later
I have 3.1.5 on my phone and on my Galaxy pad. So it is a small update and thats it. Its not very good i don't like it it at all. I'm sure 3.2 HC will have it soon enough.
Oh, that's it! Taboonay 2.2 includes this update)
I've been using it for a few days, its a different look and feel but the purchase pin feature is a winner...
Perfectly work on my iconia A500 whit virtuos galaxy 1.0.5
Bye to next and greatings

[Q] Not compatible device

Today I went to the Market to buy GTA3 just to find out that my Transformer is sayd to be incompatible device.
What I would like to find here is if someone knows what I need to change in the build.prop or elsewhere to make my Transformer be recognized as a... Transformer.
I know that it can be done because I have a Kyros Mid1024 too, with a CFW that tells Market it is a Sansung GT-P1000 tablet so I can install near everything on that. And my Transformer w/ Dock and KRAKD 1.4.2 can not!
I believe it would be even better if the Upd8r developer or other app developer could make it to change the identification between Transformer, Xoon, Galaxy and Iconia, so we can install everything from the Market.
So, any ideas on how to tweak my build.prop so I can PAY and install from Market apps like GTA3 and others ( Modern Combat 3 for A500? Anyone? ) ?
Ohohoh
Now that we finnaly have some ICS love on our TF101 (plus.google.com/104527547398404782016/posts/eDoMedFsNer), maybe someone can be more interested in make the Transformer more compatible in the Market.
Hopping so!
Going back to stock and upgrading to ICS will fx the problem, the reason no one answered you is because this question has been asked before- a few things can mess up compatibility, having an older kernel leftover from a modded ROM, having your LCD density adjusted (I know, but it happens, screen size will make it think it is an incompatible device). I had this problem until I finally went back to stock and started my rooting/ROM process all over, checking previously 'incompatible' apps in the market after each update..just to make sure they weren't getting 'broken' by each update. I am on ICS with a fully functioning market now. You will just need to search more for your answer it is out there..don't be afraid to read stuff that might not be related to your problem- it might be related to your NEXT problem
