Lost in CSC - Galaxy S II General

Hello all, my SG2'fimware is :
Pda: I9100XWKF3
Phone : I9100XXKE7
CSC : I9100OXXKF1
So, where do I come from CSC wise ?
I,ve bought my Sam' in France.
Will my firmware be regularly updated ? That's what in play for me.
I've tried to find the info, to no avail as of now.
Thank you very much.

You have KE7 firmware .
Multi European CSC .
Your phone is updated when the phone provider updates it ..
Connect to Kies to check for updates .

Thank you Jje. Difficult to check where I am vs the latest (kg1/kg2) ..always tricky with Samsung...cheers.

They should make some PDA/PHONE/CSC lookup script.

Your phone appears to be Hungary Unbranded version.

Hello Odia, you sure? If so, weird, I am in Paris! I fear that, as 2 years ago with the player Hd, i'll never will get the latest firmware! ;-(

Your CSC is OXX, which is the multiCSC version. If you want to check what you have and what is out in non-wipe firmware, Intratech's thread is excellent. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278

I cannot be 100% sure from the info given, check your Kies registry for the Product Code and post here, then we will know 100% your phone comes from where.

Type in *#272*IMEI#
This will display your current product sales code, and give you a list of available codes to install.

German unbranded device.

I want to change my CSC from KOR to TUR. I run Samsung Galaxy S / S2 CSC application but in CSC menu there isn't any option except for KOR (I want to install Turkish CSC, but TUR isn't on the menu):
I am using Frankenstein XWKJ3 and SiyahKernel v2.1. How can I install TUR CSC?

Super Easy Way to upgrade to ICS Now without Rooting

Change your CSC Code to German and upgrade via KIES; this will also factory reset your phone.
so on phone :
*#272*IMEI# then change the CSC to DBT.
Phone will reset.
Change language to English (bottom right icon)
follow prompts to setup
Connect to KIES and the phone will update to ICS.
When your finished, you change the CSC code back to whatever you had before
Omg does this really work? Anyone tested it, left my note at a friend's place, if this works I will bang on his door and get my phone back to do it, some one please test it and report.
will let you know in about 15 mins. Just finishing up first update shortly
This works if you have a Multi CSC installed. The only thing is that your phone will be wiped without warning!!
Having a german csc isn't enough, you need to be on a dbt GB firmware too.

OK I can confirm the update has worked perfectly. I was previously on a UK GB 2.3.6 ROM which had a multi-CSC (just look on forums for one), now have 4.0.3 ROM.

Wow thanks for testing it out, looks like my friend is gonna get a rude awakening in a couple minutes, thanks once again for testing, hope everyone enjoys the forever waited ICS on their notes, hopefully the stock ics keyboard isn't puke like gb's stock keyboard.
Ps. Is there a root out for the ICS already?
how can i change the CSC Code and where i have no idea guys

do *#06# to get your IMEI. Make a note of it.
then do *#272*IMEI#
this where you can select a different CSC, but only if your current ROM supports multiple CSC's. There will be a list of them if it does. Watch though, any changes you make here will factory reset your phone as the new Country.

Yep, just nuked my Note to blank slate. plus, no CBT available.
Can someone point in the right direction of how to load a firmware that does include the CBT CSC?
My CSC was TTT, anyone know what that means?
If not available, how can I make a mixed firmware CSC with both TTT (my original CSC) + CBT (German based CSC needed for Keis upgrade)?
thanks!

No DBT in the list
I am using Note in india. With this method my note does not show option for DBT, though it gives me following codes:
TML , SLK, NPL, MDV, INU, INS, ETR.
Any catch ?

in my case the SD was left untouched, both internal and external.
I only get XEU show up in a single box... does that mean no changing for me? :-(
they are mostly obvious but I don't know what XEU is...
BTC (btcellnet?), CPW (Carphone warehouse) , H3G (3), O2I (02), O2U(02), ORA(Orange), OXA*, TMU(tmobile), TSC (tesco), VIR (virgin), VOD(vodafone), XEU
hmm
i only get sales code: 'XEN', nothing more, so i guess i'll have to wait
You need a gb Rom with multi-csc. here's a guide to help you with that.
www.theandroidsoul.com/update-galaxy-note-to-xxlc1-latest-gingerbread-android-2-3-6-firmware/
for other people asking about what is wiped during csc changes, its just the rom. internal and external cards are unaffected.

How to change my country preferences to receive OTA updates earlier

Hi there,
My country is pakistan and therefore my OTA updates are received later than other countries, can you please help me how can i change my country preferences and so i can set it with UK or Germany to get updates earlier than PK?
Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2
As far as I know, the update will roll out based on your currently installed ROM. Inside the ROM, there is the CSC-part, which contains country-specific data.
The only way to change that would be to flash a different CSC to your phone. And this means root, loss of warranty, and so on.
But in this case, you can flash the desired firmware directly.

Hello
That is BTU CSC. Not sure about your other questions

[Q] PDA - Region change and lock

Greetings XDAers.
I got a N9005 for my bday (yay!). And I'm enjoying it a lot, but it's a singaporean Note, the PDA is DX, so is the baseband, and the CSC is OLC set to XSP (My full specs bellow). Among other things, I want the "latest and greatest" rom, which Singapore doesn't seem to offer (last is from august), and I would like to have Spanish for the system, which not being a XX PDA I do not have. Also I've decided to stick with factory for a while, even if I miss terribly some things from CM I want to enjoy the S Pen to the maximum and play with gestures for a while at least.
My worry is that the singaporean device is not region locked, and I worry if I install an european rom (Spain PHE seems to be a good choice of PDA and CSC for me), that it'll lock the device to europe, to which I really have no access to unlock. Not easily.
Thus I wonder where the region lock is, is it in pda? is it in CP? is it a combination of PDA and CP? If I do not update my baseband can it still lock or can't it lock? Those are my questions. I could try with an American pda+csc too I think, since in theory any provider in latinamerica should work within the lock (I'm in Venezuela)?
My device versions:
PDA: N9005DXUENF3
CP: N9005DXUENF1
CSC: N9005OLCENF2
CSC SELECTED: XSP

1- Flash PHE firmware will not region lock your phone. So don't worry.
2- At the moment, the latest firmware for XSP is GNH1, that is newer than the latest one for PHE (currently is GNG1).
You can check yourself using Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser', enter 'PHE' or 'XSP' into the CSC textbox and tap Go button to search. The latest firmware will be listed on the top.

Thank you Nguyen.
Is this a general rule, or because PHE is not region locked itself? I ask because I know UK phones seem to come locked now, but afaik and as far as I've seen UK's BTU is one of the newest firmwares out there. And being an XX pda I should get Spanish and English with it.

Flashing another firmware will not region lock/unlock your phone. But it can only brick your device, if the firmware is not compatible with your phone (in the most case it is due to different PIT file).

Unable to change CSC after flashing POLAND firmware [Phone not rooted]

Hope someone can help me with this.
After flashing Poland 5.1.1(COH4) then Thailand 5.1.1(multi CSC) I am no longer able to change my CSC.
I tried the dialing *#272*imei#* or *#272*HHMM#* and reflashing PH 5.1.1(COI4) XTC firmware.
Sadly, none of the steps above worked.
My note 4 model number is SM-N901C
I hope someone can provide a solution without rooting the phone.

Download the latest BTU-firmware from i.e. SamMobile
1. Install Odin 3.10.7
2. Put AP BL CP CSC in the designated slots (your device will be resetted afterwards)
If you reflash the current AP + BL + CP BUT use the Home-CSC version the device will not reset data.

You can use the firmware the henklbr posted and use the home-csc from the country u want.
I did this on a BTU csc and went to the PHN csc without erasing anything.

Basically you can use any CSC you want, but some CSC versions also install extra software at first boot.

If the phone works fine now i would not change anything.
If you are a flashaholic then use the latest and greatest from the link i posted.
If you just want automatic updates on a regular basis via OTA then flash BTU, chances are that this firmware will be updated quicker.

If you want OTA then you need to setup the phone with all stock firmware.
So you need to use the CSC file and NOT the Home_CSC file.
When using the normal CSC file, the script in the CSC formats data on your phone. (factory reset)
Sure you can use Home_CSC but then you will not get OTA files, or when you get them they will fail when installing.

Brotuck, thank you very much for all your posts here. They have been very useful for me! I bought a Galaxy S7 online for quite a good price. Phone has worked well with no issues apart from one! Which was that it would not upgrade to the latest firmware for the S7 from Samsung: G930FXXU1APD3. My phone had the upgrade ending in APD1. I did some investigation using PhoneINFO app from the Play store and turns out my phone CSC code was TRI and BGY which are Vietnam and Hong Kong! Turns out my phone is a grey market phone as I am in the UK.
I wanted APD3 because I am in the UK with the EE network which provides WiFi calling which I wanted for my my phone as I work in a building which has very poor reception but has WiFi. I read the APD3 version allows for WiFi calling. I called all the Samsung helplines to get my phone upgraded but no luck. Eventually I thought to go the DIY route and found this thread! I was quite wary of downloading and updating my phone using the Odin method and thought long and hard several times fearing I would brick my phone! However last night I bit the bullet and updated!! You will be happy to know thanks to this thread, and various others I Googled, the phone upgraded with no issues (so far!). I can now see the WiFi toggle in the Phone settings!!! I used the full csc code and not the Home code and so had to add all my stuff back on the phone again but that was not too bad as I had backed up my phone using Smart Switch.
I have just one question though: My phone now shows Bootloader, PDA and CSC versions as G930FXXU1APD3 but the Baseband version is still showing: G930FXXU1APD1. Is this correct. Does the Baseband version not update with the latest firmware?
Many thanks again.
Best CSC for VOLTE - VIDEO CALLING - ATT
I am on ATT Network using the G935F - and I am curious if there is a CSC I can flash that would enable me to take advantatage of ATT VOLTE and VIdeo Calling from the main phone dialer apk?
I know I can use hangouts - but it would be simpler to use the regular dialer and I really would like the benefits of VOLTE if I can get them....
I understand that not all providers or all areas offer VOLTE or Native Video Calling for that matter but I beleive that some do - I Just don't knwo which ones?
Any suggestions?

It really depends on the used firmware you installed. It is very possible that PD1 is the baseband version.
Don't worry about it. If it all works fine, do not mess with it.
Change CSC make service codes (i.e. *#0*#) impossible to use.
