Interesting... new baseband. Mine currently says 32.19.00.16U_4.02.02.14. Does this mean we're getting a radio update?
Can you verify that you've been updated to Maps 3.4 and have pinch-to-zoom in Maps, Gallery, and Browser? According to Google, this is part of the update.

Giggity on the update
this maybe a dumb question but if my phone is rooted but I still have everything is stock, I should be able to get the update automatically from the roll out correct?

OTA updates work without an sdcard installed. They get downloaded directly to the flash on the phone. I don't remember where, but if you search it shouldn't be too hard to find. Cyanogen has mentioned it.
Once someone with a rooted phone without a custom ROM should be able to snag a copy before it's installed. Or maybe even discover the URL of the update in the phone's log...

You said harder as though it took more then 5 minutes to begin with. Unless it has a new SPL to overwrite the current one, then no, it will not be any "harder."
I have a factory unlocked n1 that ive only owned for about 3 months.
I noticed its still on FRG83 (not the latest FRF91).
Will I have to do anything special to get the 2.3 update? (Im in the UK if that makes a difference).
FRG83D is the latest, not FRF91.

Thanks, it came up with 'check in succeeded', but nothing else (this was 5 mins ago).
I take it that it doesnt matter that the nexus one wasnt ever offered on my network (o2 uk), and the phone actually polls google servers?
It doesn't matter at all, just have to wait patiently, or force it (as above).

Can't you just update using the link provided above?
Im in the uk, running FRG83D and expecting the 2.3 update today. (also on o2)
Could it be my simcard? It works with 3g but its quite old still...
Also do I need to register my IMEI or anything?
Rest of the phone says this.
Code:
android version
2.2.1
baseband version

kernel version

You've got a weird kernel there? And the Korean baseband... my guess is your phone has had the KT FRF91 passimg flashed at some point, which would explain your lack of update.
That is very weird!
Are there any instructions on how to flash the kernel and baseband back to UK defaults?
Also what is the KT FRF91 passimg about, is it anything dodgy / something I should be concerned about?
Edit: I sent my phone to HTC last week and it's come back with a different IMEI...i guess that explains the korean part.
It's not really dodgy, or anything to worry about, it was an easy way for European N1 owners to update to Froyo without unlocking the bootloader back in the day. It does mean you'll lag behind with updates though.
I don't think you'll be able to get back to the proper Google firmware without rooting/unlocking your bootloader due to the 0.35 HBOOT (you can check if you have this or not by turning the phone off, holding in the tackball and powering on, the second line will say either HBOOT-0.33.0012 or HBOOT-0.35.0017).
Ive got the Hboot 0.35.0017 on FRG83D, i got the FRG83 -> FRG83D OTA update when everyone else did. I dont think this is his problem
It's not a problem as such, but it will prevent downgrading to get onto the Google version.
Ok its says HBOOT 35.0017.
If i root the bootloader, can I then flash my way back to 'Default' kernels / radios?
Yes, easily, you might not even have to wipe it in fact.
You use fastboot to flash the system.img and boot.img from the FRG33 image on shipped-roms.
Ok thats great, thanks for all your help.
Just to re-cap, install android sdk / fastbook on my pc, then flash boot.img then system.img from FRG33?
Exactly, although I lied, you will have to wipe.
I forgot that unlocking automatically wipes the phone.

Gingerblur v.35 is built around the 1.83 as far as the framework and such. It does not however actually update your phone to 1.83. The main update for 1.83 was the radio and allowing HSUPA, which gingerblur does not affect in any way, shape or form. Gingerblur is more or less just a theme... ok, ok, it's a pseudo rom = theme w/ mods & hacks included (not a custom ROM).

Just to be clear that the whole Atrix community doesn't equal AT&T customers. GB is only released as far as I know on AT&T. I am not aware of it being released on any other networks or countries yet.

from what edgan said on that thread, you need to be on an 1.8.3 with unlocked bootloader, or you need to unlock your bootloader on the leaked 2.3.4, then flash this file. someone correct me if im wrong.

Your response was absolutely fine. Sorry, I just took slight exception to the subject line of the thread itself "Gingerbread Officially Released". This is not an AT&T sub-forum or network specific thread. I have seen evidence of other network/country users being confused why they have no update yet.
On a side-note, originally Motorola hinted the UK would get the update at the same time, but that doesn't seem to be true as of yet. However, the non-network branded version of this handset is not released until August 2nd, due to Motorola having exclusive tie-ins with Orange UK and T-mobile UK until then.
Well in trying to bring my atrix back to stock so that I could install the OTA update I messed something up and it wouldn't or couldn't get any data. No up and down arrows showing data. No browsing or anything. Everything else worked. I could't even wipe the phone without an error. I took it to ATT after removing super user and a few other things. They couldn't figure it out so they gave me a new phone.
I upgraded to 2.3.4 and I am loving it. The battery seems to last much, much longer. The camera is much better and over all I am loving it. I do want to root it but looks like I will have to wait until more folks get this authentic version for that.
learning curve
I am new to android, i come from iphone jailbreak land. Sorry, I am late to the party but I can't understand one piece of the puzzle so i can manage this myself. I am on att, 2.2.2, baseband N_01.7715p, 4.1.83, Rooted with ginger blur 4.5.
Why dont i want to update my baseband with the OTA? I have read much about downgrading with RSD and so on, but because i am arriving at halftime, no one really explains why anymore. Just need a little help with the learning curve, Thanks

Can anyone tell me that can I flash ANY rom (eg: at&t , ME860 etc ) or only bell and telstra ROM only after a unlocked boot loader + CWM? I m not sure cos I just got my telstra MB860 yesterday.
Telsra has nothing to do with rolling out the OTA. It's now Motorola that is responsible for updating. Check the Motorola website and they still haven't got the ATRIX listed for ant updates yet. Try your phones settings update and there isn't anything else either.

I flashed the gingerbread sbf that was posted here a few days ago. It's less than impressive. I was considering rolling back to 2.2 but decided to give CM7 beta a crack and so far so good. The phone is like a rocketship now!
Is the bootloader open?
Thanks
I have the new Telstra update installed and would be willing to help find out. If someone could leave instructions in this thread, I'll have a crack at it in the morning.
Loaded gingerbread last night via WIFI and it took 2hrs to download. But everything is running really well now.

Update ! Fail
Hey Guys,
Attempted update numerous times. Failed every time.
Was rooted, but have unrooted.
I don't think there's anything that should stop it from updating to GB.
Any suggestions on a fix?
Anyone else find it crazy that Telstra finally gets its butt into gear just before ICS?
Rooted the new update with the application found here.
bootloader unlocked?
Anyone else not get their bootloader unlocked with the 2.3 update? I had to manually unlock mine, but in the end it was fairly easy using the guides on here.
Just that i heard/read that the bootloader was supposed to be unlocked with the 2.3 update, so thought i would ask.

No it was still locked. The Telstra update sbf was more a service sbf than a complete upgrade/wipe (I tested this by flashing the sbf with RSD lite, over the air as well as the Moto Updater - results all the same) - as in you dont lose any of your settings or apps, just updated the OS but doesnt do anything else.
