Okay. Download the Ksubedi Nand Toolkit here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Do this Exactly as I type it.
If you want Best performance Rom and Best Eye Candy(Smexiness), In Step 4, the Size shouldn't be 190M but 400M. And Follow the Rest of Tutorial as is. If you can deal with the Glitches, then continue with the Tutorial as is.
1. Go here and Download. http://www.multiupload.com/ZH0WFJBT6P
2. Go here and Download. http://hotfile.com/list/1335611/19f8a51
3. On second Link download HD2_Core_Droid_Desire_HD_V1.6_TMOUS_NAND_ONLY_LEO1 024.rar file
4. In Toolkit Do "Task29." Then Flash MagLdr with size 190M and cache size 5M.
5. After the Flash of Magldr. Boot into MagLdr by HOLDING DOWN!!! Power Button during bootup.
6. Go to Option "5. Usb Flasher." and wait for "Wait USB...USB."
7. Once "Wait USB...USB." is confirmed. Go to the "Daf.exe" file in the COREDROID V1.6 file you downloaded before and "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR."
8. Once Finished Reboot into MagLdr AGAIN. This Time go to Option "8. AD Recovery."
9. Partition SDCard in the Advanced Menu. With Size 1024MB and Swap at 0. (Before Doing this Step. BACK UP DATA ON PC).
10. Go to "Mounts and Storage" Then "Mount USB Storage"
11. Copy the Pyramid_HTC_WWE_1.35.401.1_v1.5_EU.zip to SD.
12. Once finished Hit the "BACK ARROW" Button.
13. Go down to "Flash ZIP From SDCard" then "Choose Zip from SDCard"
14. And Pick Pyramid_HTC_WWE_1.35.401.1_v1.5_EU.zip and flash.
15. Once finished, Reboot Phone, Leave it for about 20 Minutes because its First Boot. And Your Done.
16. Hit Thnx if this Helped

best way is to re-install from scratch starting with task29
i think they're refering to how to enter cwr. place miui rom on sd. now turn off phone, then when you turn it back on hold down the red power button. scroll down to option 8 & press green button to select. once in recovery wipe data & cache. then scroll down to advanced & wipe delvic. press back and now select install from sd. wait for it to finish and then press reboot system. you should be good to go.

Hi All
I don't know what I am doing wrong so I hope someone can help me.
I have tried using Clockworkmod and CLK but i am not able to flash my rom with any of them. I sometimes get a HTC screen but then nothing else. Sometimes my HD2 just reboots after a few seconds.
I have followed the guides word for word and tried CLK but still nothing.
I can update my rom using DAF, but all new roms come out in zip format only.
I have updated my radio to "Radio Leo 2.15.50.14"
I am doing something wrong? Can it be my SD card?
I hope someone can help.
Thank you in advance
Wrong forum.
I'm having the exact same issue - I was just about to open a new thread here but saw this thread and a post stating wrong forum - Please advise where can I post it?
Many thanks

What ROM are you using?
What is System partition Size for that Rom you're using?
Have you used right partition size while flashing MagLdr or Clk?
And have you used Ksubedi's Toolkit?
Because the symptom you're describing is only experienced when you use a partition size smaller than what is recommended.
For example if the Rom requires a partition of ATLEAST 200M and you flash a partition of 150M. You will get stuck at the Logo Screen. AKA HTC Screen. Or as you proclaimed, it won't even boot. So please provide more information as to which Rom and partition size you used and I will try my best to help you.
And don't pay any attention to A jerk telling you "Wrong Forum"
We will help no matter where you post it.
And Spuri give your Rom and install method, I will try my best to help you as well.

Thank you so much - here it goes..
I've been flashing Android roms for a while but for the last couple of weeks I'm having issues with installing any CWR/CLK rom - After flashing the rom, the screen is stuck at GO GO GO and then it goes in a boot loop. I have searched and I have followed all the steps down to the T. Anyway, following are the steps I have taken so far:
Format SD Card using SD Formatter
HSPL3 (2.08)
Task 29 (Using HD2 NAND Toolkit)
Install Radio (2.15) (Using HD2 NAND Toolkit)
Install MAGLDR (Using HD2 NAND Toolkit)
System Partition (As Recommended by the Chef) (Using HD2 NAND Toolkit)
wipe cache partition
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Partition Card with 1GB (As Recommended by the Chef)
install zip from sdcard
Fix Permissions
Reboot
Currently, I'm using BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA_Desire HD A2SD V20 (21.Jul) via DAF method without any issues.
I have used different SD cards but no luck - Currently I'm using 16GB Lexar Class 4. I can flash fine via DAF method. I have also done dual boot with Android and Windows Mobile without any problems. So,if I have successfully run an Android via a SD card (dual boot) so obviously SD card is not the problem?
This is really doing my head in so if anyone can help me with this, that'd be great.
Many thanks
Okay. Try to find Coredroid v1.6. Go here: http://hotfile.com/list/1335611/19f8a51 download the second file. There are instructions in there that you can follow. And since you have already partitioned SdCard, you can skip that part. And Btw, you don't need to do the "Fix Permissions" thing that you stated before. That is only done when you experience problems with apps in the Roms after first boot. And for the above Rom use a partition size of 400M.

Thanks for your prompt response - Btw, I forgot to mention that I have a LEO 512 - should I still install the second file which is for LEO 1024?
Rofl sorry ignore the step 1 and then jumping to 3. Just do this exactly. And I have adjusted the file to a EU version Rom with partition of 190m. And so with your SD that was partitioned already, you should be good to go.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused - Do you want me to flash Pyramid rom or core droid rom? For Pyramid rom, use 190M and for Core Droid 400M right? I did previously try flashing the latest Pyramid rom which 1.7 bit it didn't work - I used 200M for that but I'll try your recommendation and see how it goes.
Thanks.
Yes try the pyramid Rom with my steps exactly and you should be fine. But you have to run the Daf.exe from the Coredroid Rom once you are in Option "5. USB Flasher"

One final clarification - You mentioned that I should install 190/5, when I install DAF.exe from the core droid folder, wouldn't that override the 190/5 as I was under the impression that DAF.exe was a partition size as well.
Thanks
EDIT: This step 'Then Flash MagLdr with size 190M and cache size 5M.' I don't understand either - After Task 29, shouldn't I be installing mag and then flashing the 190/5 partition?
Ok - I followed the steps and after flashing the rom, the screen is stuck at GO GO GO - I'm sick of this - I just don't know what's the issue.
Anyone?
I tried flashing HD2_Core_Droid_Desire_HD_V1.6_Release_Version and that's stuck at GO GO GO screen as well.

What flash.cfg did you use for CWR?
The reason of GO GO GO is in my opinion because of small CWR flash.cfg. Because I had the same problem and I just changed as it was in the rom's topic.

misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot yboot|ro 10M
system ya 390M
cache ya 5M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
Just want to reiterate that the GO GO GO issue is after flashing the rom - I can boot in CWR fine - The weird thing is that I have always followed what the chef has recommended in his/her rom - This issue has had me stumped - I virtually can't install any NAND rom - Maybe I should try a third SD card? I just don't know.
Did you try to install the one I gave to you?
Because from what I can see you are trying to install build with HTC SENSE right?
Try to install the one I gave you it is simple clean gingerbread rom.
If you tried then I don't know, try task29 and then try to install it all again.
Or try installing SD card version
Okay I will give you exact instructions. And BTW the Daf.exe is so you can boot into AD Recovery in MagLd.
1. Task 29.
2. Go to toolkit and Center Left you will see box with sizes of 150 200...... Click on 200M. Under that box is a little box with 45M as default cache size, change it to 5M.
4. Go in MagLdr. This is what I mean, try to go to Option "8. AD Recovery." It wont right? So go into Option "5. USB Flasher" and run the Daf.exe from the Coredroid folder and run as administrator.
5. Once finished boot into MagLdr once more this time going to Option "8. AD Recovery."
6. (This step is optional, but mandditory if you have not done so already)Once in AD Recovery, go to "Advance" menu, partition SdCard, and use the size 1024M,it will ask for swap size next, use 0M.
7. Once partitioned, go back to "Mounts and Storage" then to "Mount USB Storage."
8. Once mounted, copy the Pyramid Rom to root of SdCard. Once finished, hit back arrow once.
9. Go to "Install ZIP from SDCard" then "Choose ZIP from SdCard" and choose the Pyramid Rom. Let the flashing finish. And reboot phone.
10. Let the phone settle for 5 minutes in first boot, go through Setup. Then reboot phone.

Go to Xda Hd2 Nand Development and at the top on the thread there will be a toolkit thread. You can search it in Google too. Toolkit is called HD2 Nand Toolkit by Ksubedi. Download the tool. And flash HSPL 2.08. Then flash Task29. Then flash MagLdr through that tool. You can set the size of the partition of MagLdr in center left.
Hit thnkx if this helped.

Thank guys, thank you so much
Omg guys, my HD2 can't load into the MAGLDR113 menu, it stuck at the HTC logo start up screen. it can't load into the phone too...
stucking at the htc screen means that theres a clean nand
did you task29? if yes, try to install magldr again..
follow these steps:
install hspl 4 (2.08 HSPL)
install radio 2.15.50.14 rom
Task29 (clean nand)
install magldr
install cwm
goto cwm (AD Recovery @ magldr menu)
flash rom (install zip from sd card - choose zip from sd card)
have fun
if you need to go manually into magldr menu, keep pressing phone end button while booting.
if this is just too much, just try to use a toolkit (like the nand toolkit or mine (click on banner in my signature )
hope it´ll help a bit.
I still can't figure out how to boot into the MGLDR113 menu, i tried reinstall it and try press the end call button many times when booting up. its not working... omg...

in coredroid roms the necessary CWR partition comes within the downloaded rar. when you unpack it you'll see an exe file 'daf'.in your phone go to mgldr menu, with volume buttons come to 'usb flasher' you must see 'usb flasher....usb',right click on daf, choose run as administrator. now follow your screen to finish it. then in mgldr AD recovery-install zip from sdcard-choose zip from sdcard then in your sd find your coredroid........zip, choose it, after it finishes reboot and wait....

if you use eu-hd2 this rom and many others need an ext partition in sd card. do you have an ext partition?
I downloaded a gingerbread rom, and now I would like to know how do I boot the rom? Like when I open up the rom folder there is no DAF or any .exe inside.
I'm not understanding how the rom is loaded from the daf.exe in magldr.
you have given so little information. do you have mgldr,is your hd2 eu or tmous, which rom do you want to flash, have you made cwr partition,do you have sd-ext partition etc...
Its tmobile hd2, & ive never did a partition. & the rom is NexusHD2-Gingerbread and i had magldr but since I couldnt figure out how to flash so I went back to wm
The NexusHD2 Gingerbread thread has a complete tutorial in it...it's not that hard.
I guess... do I have to partition my sd? I just dont get where im suppose to put the rom files before starting daf.exe
It's pretty easy man. You don't have to partition your SD card since you have a TMOUS HD2. If possible, I would recommend you format the SD card before you copy over the NexusHD zip file to it just to avoid any hiccups along the way. DON'T extract the zip. Leave it intact and copy it to the card. You can put your stuff back on the card once you're up and running. Ok, here are the instructions on how to flash NexusHD2:
Download the file MAGLDR_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0_for_NexusHD2_135M.zip (5.0 MB) This is to partition the NAND on the PHONE and extract it to your computer.
Enter MAGLDR 1.13 by holding power key while booting the phone, and then select "USB Flasher" via "VolUp" and "VolDown". Confirm key is the green "Call" button.
I think you may need either Activesync or Windows Mobile Device Center just so it installs the correct drivers for the phone. You don't actually use it. It just installs the drivers for the phone. When you select USB Flasher on the phone you should see Wait USB...USB At the computer, run DAF.exe to flash ClockworkMod Recovery 3.2.0.0. You should see some text scroll by on the phone. Then it will reboot. Hold down the power button again to get back into Magldr. Go down to AD Recovery and select it with the call button. Your phone will now boot into Recovery mode. Go down to 'install zip from sdcard' and select it with the call button again. Then go to 'choose zip from sdcard'. Select it. Then select the NexusHD2 zip file you copied earlier. Let it do it's thing. It will tell you when it's complete. Use the arrow key to back up to the Recovery menu that says 'reboot system now' and select it. Let it reboot and enjoy.
If this works, I love you. & Im guessing since i flashed back to wm, I will have to install magldr and cwr again
Yep, you will have to flash Magldr and CWM again if you put WM back on it.
Thank you everybody for helping me out.
ok so im trying to install the rom
Desire HD 3.06.405.1 - Sense 3.0 - Android 2.3.5
on the instructions it says Flash Magldr versions, don't reboot, flash Tytung cLK kernel for DHD sense 3, reboot !
have done all of that BUT it just stays on the HTC screen, do i keep waiting?
I think you have Magldr ?!
Then you don´t have to flash the clk .zip !
Just flash the Magldr zip and reboot.
Yes.... i have the same Rom. When you using Magdlr you don´t need to flash the Kernel.
so the Magldr zip is the rom itself right?
i've tried that also and still its a no go
i've done it like 10 times and it just stays at the HTC screen.
what i wondered was what does this mean at the end? CWR: 5/445/5
but by flashing magldr zip i kinda wondered what that meant? i've read around and well it meant doing this
1.Flash MAGRLD 1.1.3
- Go to Bootloader (reboot phone + volume down)
- Connect your phone to PC
- Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe(on PC) and follow guide step by step
- Phone auto reboot and goto MAGLDR113 menu
- Done
or is magldr zip the rom zip
i've done that and its still no luck, i've also have just wipe data, etc and then flashed the rom and it still just stayed on the htc screen
another thing is that since im moving up to sence 3.0 is there anything else i need to run?
but i wil try again

its a tmous

so when it says use patition 155MB (use patition EXT2-3-4 on SD card)
do i go to ad recovery and create partitions on 2 3 4?
ok i used clockwork to partition the sd using 512mb and 64mb im guessing that made ext 3
and so after that i'd drag the back up files and the new rom inside but it just stays on HTC screen

Because you haven't flashed a rom yet. After the cwm partition size is set you boot into magldr, choose ad recovery, which will then enter cwm, and from cwm (orange text) you choose flash zip from SD, browse to where the rom.zip file is on your SD and select it.
yeah i have done that, it just stays on HTC screen waited an hour and came back stayed there

what you have done is just partitioning sd card. since you have a tmous hd2 it isn't so necessary for you having an sd-ext.
in order to flash any rom you have to do a cwr partition which will partition your NAND.
for this rom and tmous i attach 5-445-5 cwr partition.
to apply:
0)in mgldr- ad recovery- wipe data factory reset just in case
1)connect mobile to pc
2)in mgldr menu choose usb flasher;be sure you see usb flasher......usb in screen
3)in unrared attachment right click on DAF,run as administrator
4)after installation is complete: mgldr-ad recovery-install zip from sd-choose zip from sd-find rom.zip- after installation is complete reboot.
you can use attached file for other roms too. just open flash.cfg using notepad. rearrange it according to rom's needs and save
oooo ok so thats what it meant when said to use cwr partition the daf, ok i will try it and reply back what happens.

Gosh, you're doing it in such a complicated way. I'll give you a simple idiot proof guide. (Android guide, as wp7 is too easy)
1. Flash the correct hspl and radio according to what the rom thread says, download links of these should be provided on rom thread.
2. Install MAGLDR (So much easier to use than CLK) From here
3. Install Clockwork mod recovery, from here
Although before flashing go onto the android rom thead that you wish you flash and on there you will see the recomended system and cache sizes. Once you unzip the clockwork download file, you should see a file called: Flash.cfg Open/edit this file and then enter the recommended files from the thread.
4. Then go onto the thread and download the nandroid rom you wish to flash.
5. Go onto MAGLDR and click on option mount storage and then mount SD card, then simply put the zip rom into the root of the sd card.
6. On Magldr select the option of Nand recovery.
7. Voila you're in Clockwork mod recovery, now clear system data, and clear cache. After that go onto additional options and clear the dalvik cache.
8.Next just simply follow the recovery steps and install zip from sd card and flash the rom.
9. Once flashed it should automatically reboot and select Nand as default boot, and load the android rom.
Simple.

Click to collapse
the magldr sd mount doesn't always work, sometimes corrupts larger files. Safer to use teh 'mounts and storage - mount sd card' option in cwm.
