Can you go to download mode? maybe replacing all files you can have your phone back..

How do i do that. And the folder is empty

I can get the purple screen but where can i get the files ?

What rom is this for? I can give you all files aside from boot.img (unless you're using MIUI).

Don't know how people do it, but I've given this to 3 people so far This will allow you to get into recovery and do a backup, then from that backup i'd recommend reflashing your ROM and restoring data only.

exactly like ryronz said. good luck

IF use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059753 but i can't get into recovery mode ;(

i still just get a bluescreen and this is the files ive got recover.img
boot.img
amss.mbn
EMMCBOOT.MBN

The folder struction should be e:/image/*files here*

You are my hero thank you!!!!!

is there something more i have to to it goes in to recovery mode directly

Yes do a backup in recovery, grab a rom, can't find a link to them because moddaco is down. Once you've downloaded the ROM there will be a PDF in the zip explaining how to upgrade... Good luck!

Thanks man.
thanks for this but it didn't help.
its endless bootlooping.
So not possible to reboot this ****
Try to reboot via adb. This always works for me
What is this?
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/what-is-adb-and-how-to-install-it-android/
If you have it you can run from command prompt the command: adb reboot
to reboot the device from pc. Also you can boot to recovery, you can wipe data system etc.. and other stuff if device is rooted and has busybox.

Please provide also an instalation procedure.....
It is not something new that you install.
These are the original image files included in the 2.3.5 version, in case someone needs them if flashing went wrong and needs to revert to original files.
You get in recovery mode as usual and replace them.
Recovery mode:
boot phone while holding volume up + volume down + power buttons.
The screen gets pink.
If you connect your phone via usb with your pc then you can access it as a storage device.
There are the files you might want to replace.
is this final or beta?
There is no final release yet. We will have to wait for that quite a while I think.

Hi Everyone,
I used these recovery files with B138 rom (stupid, i know - long story). Now, i can only get to pink screen state - can't even get to recovery mode. Everytime i switch the phone on, the Huawei logo appears briefly, then just goes off again - even when i try to enter recovery mode.
Will it help if i replace the recovery files with the ones intended for the B138 rom? If so, can anyone perhaps post a link to them?
I REALLY hope i didn't brick my phone!

Simply reinstall the rom. Create a dload at your sdcard and you know the rest.
Second option: search forum there were already boot.img recovery and other image folder files. Replace them while on pink screen and youre good to go.

Official GB is having this issue. It happened to me some times. Try upgrading your phone with Dzo's Aurora or downgrade again to 2.2.1. both will give your phone a life and stay away from GB (at least official)
I cannot root the phone. The phone is not opening any more. I can downgrade to Froyo but how i ll update to ICS from 2.2?
Is there any solution to upgrade to Ics from 2.2?

[Q] UnCustom Your Phone? o.O

Is there any way i can replace my custom rom with the original 2.3
I currently have the newest Oxygen Rom..
And CWM Recovery 5.0.2.7
Any help would be much appreciated
Apply official 2.2. After it remove repartitions if you have. Then just install official 2.3 same way you installed 2.2. Thats it.

But how do i Install 2.2, i can't seem to get into download mode
EDIT:
nvm, I think I found something

download this, unzip, put dload folder on sd card and then remove battery nad put it back while holding both volume buttons and power button. this will install stock rom
btw if this link doesnt work now, try later, and I will also try uploading somewhere
edit:
here is the promised link: http://www.mediafire.com/?c97gnolbh9759y7
First you don' t need to flash original 2.2 rom before flash original 2.3.
Now, are you sure that you've put the dload folder, which must contain a file named UPDATE.APP, in the root directory of sd card?

Still just the pink screen, do i need to change some files maybe.
I have CWM and i think i installed a custom boot.img for root access...
as far as I know, there have to be 2 files in that folder, at least i had 2 files when i did flashing. UPDATE.APP and UPDATE_CUST.APP
If you still have the original boot.img, restore it and try again.
Or go into settings->memory->software update, it's another way to update.
Did a factory reset, still waiting to see if this fixes it...
Did not seem to work, didn't install the stock rom from sd...
I also downloaded original boot.img, but it failed that to
now I'm uploading files which I used to flash stock 2.2. they will be uploaded in about 20minutes if everything goes well ^^
edit:
here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?c97gnolbh9759y7 just unzip, and there will be folder named dload. you know the rest

Thank you very much
I didn't work, so I'll just stick to custom roms for now.
But which rom do you suggest...
I have Oxygen
I've tried CM7(long time ago)
I'll probably try MIUI next...
Change, boot.img or recovery.img, cannot help you to install official rom.
For booting to update mode, responsible is the bootloader, which isn't part of boot.img or recovery.img.
Also you don' t need 2 files on dload folder. You just need the update.app. If a rom has more files, need more steps to flash them all. For e.g if you have a update_cust.app file, you need to flash first the update.app, then rename the update_cust.app, to update.app and flash again.
Anyway if you cannot boot to Update mode, or something you do wrong, or the sd card cannot read from bootloader, and boots on pink screen mode instead.
You can try to put the dload folder on internal sd card.
I think i might have backup of the original system, restoring now to check...
EDIT:
It worked, it was from before i did anything to the phone...
I'm about to cry :'), happy tears everyone...
Thanks for all your help
Damn forgot my pattern...

Root your phone.
Download the recovery.img you want.
Save it wherever you want at your phone.
Download any root file manager (ex Root Explorer), which can mount and show hidden folders.
Mount ./cust_backup as rw.
Copy and replace recovery.img from SD card to /.cust_backup/image/recovery.img
Done!
Cheers

sorry my friend. I don't understand what your problem is. Have you copied the recovery.img file at the correct folder? Did you boot at recovery ok? what are you trying ro flash?
i had a similar issue - the rom manager installed the CWM but when i booted to it, it was the default one.
So:
1. Delete/rename the recovery.img
2. Then paste new one (for some reason it didnt overwrite it).
3. Just use rom manager to boot into recovery or use the vol + and power button option.
Now in the recovery use the install from sdcard option.
The reason ur not getting the flash/mass storage drive on purple screen is cuz ur bootloader is locked (i assume official gingerbread is installed?)
Hey there, correct i have oficial gingabread, and i want to put a Custom ROM on it ....
And now i accidently deleted the recovery.img and cant paste the recovery that i have on my SD Card to the flash via ROOT Explorer
Now what can i do :'(
cuz the Custom ROM that i want to put is the Elite ROM v10 that is for 2.3 if iam not mistake
Can someone help me out plz

Just reapply official rom. If possible use beta 1 or 2. Keeps bootloader unlocked.

FINNAAALLYYYYY !!! THANK GOD BETAAA !! thanks m8 i putted a thanks on you
You can apply latest official ROM also and then unlock your bootloader like described here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21659629
You can use the manual method
Then you can plug your phone to your pc at pink screen and paste any recovery version you want inside the image folder.

Returning to stock, cant flash system, now wont boot from backups

OK, so i'm returning my N4 to Stock from Dirty Unicorns as i am possibly selling it. i Downloaded a copy of stock 4.2.2 from Google and extracted the images from the .tgz as instructed in this thread.
i re flashed the bootloader and radio fine, i had changed the radio previously to fix signal issues, but when i try to flash system it hangs on writing.
now when i boot into my recovery and restore an old backup it doesn't get past the boot screen.
any help with this would be really appreciated
cheers
Airhn
Make sure you are in the correct folder location when flashing. Depending how you unzipped the tar, your system, boot, userdata and recovery img files might be in another folder. cd your way to the correct location then it should work.
I shift+right click to open a cmd prompt in the folder. I can send the files to the phone no problem but it hangs when trying to write it

Maybe switch cables and USB ports to make sure it's not one of those things. Check MD5 sum of the tar if you didn't before you started?
hi thanks for the help Jawmail. i managed to get it working. i ended up loading a odexed jdq39 rom from the forums and then forcing an ota update.
still no idea why it wouldnt flash the sysem image originally though
:good:

stuck in bootloop after change bootanimation! can recovry fix it?

where can i delete the faulty file through file manager in twrp? i dont wanna flash a bunch of images or anything can someone PLZ tell me an easier way to get rid of the bootanimation?
can i flash any flashable zip bootanimation? would that replace the current one n fix it?
Did you make a backup of the original bootanimation? If so use Terminal in TWRP to restore it, or try using adb shell command to fix it. That happened to me once on an older phone and that's how I fixed it.
i have a working bootanimation.zip file on my PC, i can flash it via adb?
and no i did not make a backup

I'm using benzo and i think my permissions are wrong maybe, is it 644 or 755? I want the marvel theme of changing superheroes but i just can't get it to work why does a bootanimation get stuck? Is it the numbering of the images?

You can try fixing the permissions via TWRP recovery.
Another thing that might help, is to dirty flash the ROM again, over the current installation, without wiping anything.

Next time, please only post your question in one place, double posting isn't allowed.
Can't he just remove the boot animation and not transfer one over? I believe the phone will boot but a stock "Android" letter boot animation will load and then the phone will boot where he can install a new boot animation (or maybe put back the old boot animation)
