i tried force update but it dosent work on mine yet, anyone get it?
To try to force the update on to your phone, try this:
Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Market and clear data on it.

Tried the clear data trick too and no go on my end also.

Interface looks like a huge improvement; disappointed on the 15-minute refund window though.. should at least be an hour.

It should have been at least an hour..., who is the idiot making these decisions at Google...?

wow, I opened the market and it was the new one right off the bat! Question though: wasn't it supposed to have video previews? I haven't seen an app that has it yet.

I'm not sure if it's device specific but my girlfriends Fascinate def. had the new snazzy market on it this morning while mine was still the old one.

there is no official Froyo release for the US market.
But you do have to have an unoficial Froyo on the phone, yes.

Awesome. Cant wait for those tablets....
Only a small glimpse to be sure, but it definitely looks like phone/tablet android is gonna fork. Everything you can see looks absolutely amazing however, like miles above what we have seen on a tablet so far. Youtube looks sick. The UI actually looks "cool." Like futuristic, badass, sweetness. But its hard to tell from a minute video.

Try refreshing. At first, it was a video from youtube but Engadget uploaded theirs.

Between my Evo and my Notebook, I don't really have a need for a tablet...but I really, really want that Honeycomb goodness. Dammit Google, now you've made me drool all over my desk!

It looks nice but I'm sure that oems will screw it up with proprietary skins unless google grows some balls and enforces a standard.

LOL. That motorola tab that was showed a few weeks ago seemed really cool! I want a tablet!!!

so what will be the next build for mobile phone devices? i assume ginger will be the last evo update then? might be time to start to look for a new phone in a few months.

Thats a good question. This looks absolutely fantastic, and absolutely nothing like android does currently. I for one am excited to see where the two forks of android take us. This looks like it has absolutely no place on a cell phone.

I still wouldn't mind a port though. My evo screen is room enough especially With honeycomb running on landscape .

Since the evo got the honeycomb port, shouldn't we be next in line?

We do have it. Its just useless for a phone since its not designed for a phone. r2 has a port but dont think anybody cares to try it to be honest

He put some paid apps into a rom mad long ago and got banned. He made new accounds and kept making roms. So yea...

Noooooooo... We have the Phone Interface of Honeycomb. The EVO has the real deal: The Tablet Honeycomb Interface.
Hopefully, someone takes interest in it.

Anyone get a chance to play with the emulator yet? Its still pretty slow, but its fun to mess with. Would you guys want the wallpapers that are seen on the emulator?

Well given that it's shinny and new. I want it. Will rooted phones with custom roms see this update or do we have to find an apk?

A little Metro-ish with that tile-style layout but I sort of like how it's looking as a whole. I've hated the new Market layout since day 1 so I'm glad to see them changing it up again.

Looks great. But running that in background of a actual useful app.say a game even browsing the net is the question. Looks CPU graphic intense.

It does look pretty cool, but I agree with Erica. I'd be afraid that it would be too much of a resource hog and bog down my tablet. Be nice to show off to the friends so they can witness the awesomeness of my Acer, but I probably wouldn't want it for everyday use.

I don't think it would consume enough resources and lag the device.....as far as spb goes...even at the release of the current version of spb..(which iss now available in the market)..it was thought to slow down any device...but it didn't....

I don't know... something about it is, kinda.. off... I can't put my finger on it. I mean it certainly has the eye-candy... but is it forsaking eye-candy for functionality? *shrug*
We have to look past the silky smooth actions here - everything looks great when you hand keyframe the animations just nice and perfect. It's still in concept so I have to reserve judgment until there is something more along the lines of an alpha/beta. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I hope it they release the app soon.....they launched the concept video in early march.....the launcher was for honeycomb....they better launch before android 4.0.....

I have this for the Evo, look for it market: SPB Launcher 3D. It is great. Add more screens, and the integration with all the Widgets make it a smooth transition from any other launcher.
As for CPU usage. I found that it ran better then my HTC: S with animated wallpaper.
I am really waiting on this to be released for the tablet. As my a500 could really use more screens and the customization features of this launcher.

i am using the SPB shell on my galaxy s i9000 slighlty overclocked 1.1Ghz. it works very well, does not slow down anything.
it is really great to use.

It is on the market .....I wasn't able to get in the search results so I went on google...got a market link and then found it......its the normal spb shell 3d with tablet mode and real 3d for phones like evo3d and lg optimus 3d....

Ya. Clearly.

I bought it for my Charge, didn't work well. Market wouldn't show it for the A500, so I downloaded a bootleg apk just to see if it worked. Basically said this is an incompatible device and closes. I still want to see what it can do on the tab, since it's far more powerful than my phone.
