Looks great. But running that in background of a actual useful app.say a game even browsing the net is the question. Looks CPU graphic intense.
It does look pretty cool, but I agree with Erica. I'd be afraid that it would be too much of a resource hog and bog down my tablet. Be nice to show off to the friends so they can witness the awesomeness of my Acer, but I probably wouldn't want it for everyday use.
I don't think it would consume enough resources and lag the device.....as far as spb goes...even at the release of the current version of spb..(which iss now available in the market)..it was thought to slow down any device...but it didn't....

I don't know... something about it is, kinda.. off... I can't put my finger on it. I mean it certainly has the eye-candy... but is it forsaking eye-candy for functionality? *shrug*
We have to look past the silky smooth actions here - everything looks great when you hand keyframe the animations just nice and perfect. It's still in concept so I have to reserve judgment until there is something more along the lines of an alpha/beta. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
I hope it they release the app soon.....they launched the concept video in early march.....the launcher was for honeycomb....they better launch before android 4.0.....

I have this for the Evo, look for it market: SPB Launcher 3D. It is great. Add more screens, and the integration with all the Widgets make it a smooth transition from any other launcher.
As for CPU usage. I found that it ran better then my HTC: S with animated wallpaper.
I am really waiting on this to be released for the tablet. As my a500 could really use more screens and the customization features of this launcher.
i am using the SPB shell on my galaxy s i9000 slighlty overclocked 1.1Ghz. it works very well, does not slow down anything.
it is really great to use.

It is on the market .....I wasn't able to get in the search results so I went on google...got a market link and then found it......its the normal spb shell 3d with tablet mode and real 3d for phones like evo3d and lg optimus 3d....

Ya. Clearly.
I bought it for my Charge, didn't work well. Market wouldn't show it for the A500, so I downloaded a bootleg apk just to see if it worked. Basically said this is an incompatible device and closes. I still want to see what it can do on the tab, since it's far more powerful than my phone.

We do have it. Its just useless for a phone since its not designed for a phone. r2 has a port but dont think anybody cares to try it to be honest

Well, the emulator and the port are the same, so pick your poison.
holy ****, this launcher is smooth as hell. Trigger 2.9.4 with spb launcher = smoothness! Works well with other roms too

I always thought this launcher was a little overpriced, but it seriously is a slick looking BEAST! I always recommend people give it a look when "Launcher debate" threads pop up.
Here's just one of the many vids that show up after a quick google search. Not sure if the review is any good, but I know the launcher is, lol.

I found one could use both markets actually.
Not sure if i like the new one, maybe it takes some time to get used to, it definatly has some improvement, but it feels kinda bulky to me.

NO! It won't the only choice! This Market App is for Smartphones ONLY!!! The honeycomb Market is different and won't be replaced by this one! Google may make something similar but we will have to wait to see! BTW I wouldn't use this app on a tablet! It may be not so compatible!

I tried it early on, and ready didn't like the look or feel of it.
I just installed to my acer iconia a500. The install worked just fine, but I will have to spend some time with the market to see if I like it better or not.
Either way, after updating to Honeycomb 3.1, my market was messing up, even after a factory reset, so it should at least be better than that.

I just found out that I still have both markets, the old and the new, to choose from.

The selection of "tegra" based games is so blah... I've gone through "other" sources as well to find games for this thing. Most end up in corner of the screen; a little rectangle in the middle of the screen; or totally uncontrollable.
Tegra tabs are seeing very little love. My Gtab LTE has been sitting in the corner the last four days. Really starting to regret that purchase...
Just be aware that games on these things is still kind of just a novelty, not really the prime motivation for purchasing. I like playing games on the Tab, but if I was serious about actually wanting good games I'd boot up my Windows PC or get a console.
i agree with you on the other option for a console or pc i guess is just to early to look for good games for that tab

Maybe you shouldn't expect much from pirated games? Gameloft doesn't offer Fast Five for the Galaxy Tab which is why you're having problems.

1) Again, Yes you can change the apps in the bar. Remember just because you dont know how to do it does not mean it cant be done. Samsung has released the API to do so.
2) Wizz Bar sucks. All it does is bring up shortcuts to apps which overtake the entire screen. The beauty of TouchWiz is that the apps run on top of whatever app you were already using and you can drag them around the screen. There is nothing like this in the market.

Remember if you can't provide proof its not done and don't give a link to a website that does not take us directly to the proof.
It seems that you like to make a new claim or a statement about something false for the week... This week the api, since tomorrow is a new week, what other false claims do you have? The pictures of the Sdcard slot in your tab, the color changing task bar...? Oh wait those were in the past. Can't wait to see your next lie.

Linking some website proves nothing except that you read some blogger as I stated before. Theoretically you can say things like an API is released but realistically you can do nothing as of right now. If you can please post some pics with your screen shot button of regular apps magically running as a mini app. If you cannot post your screen shot then you my friend are still a troll. Not a link, a screen shot.

I was making a dumb **** joke about the silly names their marketers came up with---it was late, a thousand pardons. I actually like the TouchWiz UI, except for the silly world time app.
I hear ya on the late thing. Learning about Android keeps me up way too late. I just re-read your post with your purpose explained. It is kind of funny now. I love touchwiz, except for the taskbar being grey.
