Can you please detail, what you did and how you did it?
I'm asking because you CAN'T "remove" the account from the phone.
I quote from MS, here and here
HOWEVER, note that the Windows Live account that you used to set-up your phone can not be deleted from the phone. To remove that one, you'd have to reset your phone (which brings it back to the factory state).
The first Windows Live account you add to a WP7 device becomes the primary account on the device and cannot be delete without doing a factory reset of
the device.
So it seems you "did it" from the browser. In which case you can only "delete" the account. And if that's the case, I can't help but feel irony and provide you with this similar situation:
"I've sold my car yesterday and this morning when I was trying to go to work I realized that my car isn't where it's normally parked..."
Fun aside, if you deleted the account, you have to re-create it somehow or if you can't, hard reset the phone and use another live account.

Well I never did anything, merely unlocked my phone and noticed my email accounts were gone along with my windows live id. Its like I never added it except I can no longer add my account, merely getting "blah blah blah error we cant fix" and "phone has wrong date" error messages.

And now, strangely (and overnight without my doing) I'm logged into Xbox live but not my live id account

I suggest you check your account for some hacking/hijacking first (check on a PC/browser). If that's not the case, most likely something's gone wrong on your phone. I suggest a full sync, then hard reset and start from scratch.

Over the Air ZunePass Downloading

I got a Focus and a Zune Pass and I was curious as to how to download songs off the zune marketplace from my phone?
everytime I long press ANY song the download option is shaded out..
anyone know how to do that?
Are you logged into the phone as the Windows Live ID that owns the Zunepass? By that I mean the primary Windows Live ID on the phone. If you are it should work. If you're not, you have to factory reset the phone to change the Windows Live Id you are logged in with.

I'm pretty sure I am, my Xbox Live avatar is my normal one and my gamertag is the correct one (not playerxxxxx)
ok here's the weird bit though.
I think i tried changing the email associated with my live account. so my phone is logged into 1 email and when i log in using that same email, in the account settings it shows a different email account. but i can't log in with that email account...weird huh? so i have all of my live services working just fine, but it's all backwards too...
I had issues two days ago; when my Zune pass renewed. I had to connect my Focus to my PC and sync it with Zune. After that it worked again.
yeah that was it actually.
I went into zune and changed the email account so that the login and the email match up and it worked just fine

Contact gone?

So this morning, everything was fine, all contacts were there.
I charged my phone and an hour later, picked it up, a few contacts were missing (like my dad and home and such).
Synced it and still nothing?
I went into my gmail and all the contacts are still there, but not showing up on my phone
I've had that problem... Go to accounts and async and make sure google is there. My google account had erased itself, just ran htc setup and re entered google info

Had the same problem - rebooted phone - contacts came back.
Google was still in Account & Sync
I had to manually add it for now =\
I thought something similar had happened to me, but what had happened is another account synced with that contact and arranged it "last name, first name" and so it was in a completely different spot than usual.

Nexus s calendar

Hi everybody howcome when I go in calendar and try to add a event it says you have no calendar? Can somebody help me. I download a calendar app from market gave me same message.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Did you create one from Google Calendar? Log onto your gmail account and create a calendar then sync it to your phone.
Lol sounds confusing. What about contacts I saved 2 but its not on my contacts howcome?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
It happened to me when I first got my Nexus S. Even though I linked gmail and the calendar wouldn't allow me to add an event until a few days after using the phone while synced to Google account.
Sync Google account and do a soft reboot and if it doesn't work right away, let it run for a couple days. Give that a try. Good luck.

You can manually sync from the sync menu.

I bought my wife the new Nexus S 4g today. The guy at the sprint store helper her set up the phone even thought I did not want him too. Oh well it is his job. Thing is she had never setup Google Calendar because she had a BlackBerry before that. So when I got home I setup her Google calendar but it is not syncing to her new phone. When I go to Setting > Accounts & Sync > her google account there is not a Calendar option. What do I need to do I don't want to have to reset her phone. Are there any other options? Thanks.
Odd. Calendar should be one of the defaults syncs. Have you tried running the calendar app and see if the gmail account shows up there?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I had tried running the calendar app but nothing shows up I even enter an event online thinking may bring it down but nothing. If you try to add an event on the phone it just says "You have no calendars". It is almost like the phone did not sync all the way to her account. I really don't want to reset her phone to factory default and have her set everything up again. She would not want to do that. She has already change the wallpaper all the screens downloaded apps, and changed ring tones.
I meant open the calendar app, press the menu button, press More then on Calendars and make sure the gmail account is listed there.
Also, this might be a stupid question but you're connected with Wifi or mobile network (3G, 2G, etc) right? Your phone signal bars should appear green if you're connected to Google's servers. If it's not green, you won't be able to sync.
I go to Calendar app > More > Calendars and there is nothing there, just have an Ok and cancel button. I have been on 3g, 4g, and wifi and nothing on any of them. Yes the the bars a green at the top.
I doubt you need to reset to factory so not to worry about that. Maybe you just have to wait a day or two. Either that or bring it back to the store and have them figure it out.
Might do that thanks. Hopefully it will work itself out.
You can also try rebooting the phone if you haven't already.
already tried that

maybe you should try and get the stock calendar.apk and re-install it...???
Ok I talked to Sprint and they said that is easiest way was to make sure that the phone was backed up to Google and just do a Factory Wipe. Basically wipe the phone and start over. So I did and that fixed the problem. So anyone who gets a new google phone and does not have all the google apps setup do that before you get the phone activated. I hope someone finds a better way because that is a major oversight on googles part. But everything is working great now.

Can't encrypt... Exchange Server requires it, but Nexus refuses?

New to Android so not sure if this is an Android qwerk, our Exchange sever or just my luck!
Tried adding a mail account for my Exchange server to sync mail, contacts and calendar etc, and a message comes up saying that a policy requires the device to be encrypted, I click to start that a it gives me the option... the Nexus7 reboots.. I get an android robot logo for 25 seconds then it reboots again and I get the glowing X .. but hasn't done anything and no exchange server.. and the message comes up to encrypt... and I can repeat to my hearts content but no joy
Any advice?

Get Touchdown for Tablets in the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nitrodesk.honey.nitroid&hl=en
I had this same scenario -- Exchange server sync's corp email, so encryption is required. It worked perfect for me first time. And it worked for others where I work. So it can work, but I didn't do anything special or different than what you described.
Touchdown
I had the same problem but bought a Touchdown license and everything works great. I think it has something to do with my IT department wanting complete control over the contents of my Exchange account on remote devices. Touchdown allows them to remotely wipe the contents of my Exchange data and makes sure that my data is store in an encrypted, password-protected sandbox.
Have you tried to encrypt the device before adding your Exchange account? In the Settings/Security area you should be able to encrypt the device, which is how I did it.

OK.. will keep trying

Trying Touchdown now, it works but doesn't integrate with the system calendar such that Google Now is aware of events etc.? Otherwise seems to work well, thanks for tip

Good idea, not tried that... although it looks like Touchdown avoids me losing control of my device as it looks like Corporate policies would lock out a number of features I'm enjoying playing with... camera, face lock, etc.

Found my fix
I was having this problem.
I did a factory reset, then went into the security menu and started the encryption. (Though, I did not pair it with any account at this time. I am waiting for after the encryption is done.)
So far, 50% done.
The reset was not really an issue for me, as I just got the device and have no personal content, just app downloads and account sync.

I had a similar situation. I got around it by turning off wifi and bluetooth. For some reason it wouldn't encrypt with either of those on.

Installing apps from store without using microsoft account

Hello guys !
Like I have to said. I switched from Win 7 to 8 and everything is perfect except the Store...
Like there wouldn't be a problem of using Microsoft account in Win 8 but every time I turn on my computer or even logout I have to type in stupid password -.- God Dammit !
Is there any way I can download apps from store without using microsoft account ?
Or to bypass that stupid password for logging in ? But I more prefer to be not logged in into any type of account to use my pc.
Just to be safe you know

For what it's worth, you can't be not logged into *any* kind of account - that's quite simply not possible on a multi-user operating system like NT. Even if you bypass the login interface entirely, you're still running under the SYSTEM account. On the other hand, if you you meant is that you want to avoid being signed into any *online* account, then... yeah, that's sort-of possible on Win8. The store apps are tied, by purchase, to your online account; you can avoid signing into the account to use the PC in general, but if you want Store apps you have to sign into that. It's (exactly) like asking to use Steam apps without signing into Steam
Also in my opinion it is a bad idea to not have a password protecting a pc. Even when I had windows 7 my desktop PC which isn't going anywhere had a password. Its almost like buying a chainsaw that came with some nice gloves and a protective shield on the back of the blade and then removing the shield and throwing the gloves away. You say just to be safe, well what you are proposing is the exact opposite. Computer security is not a joke, now where do you live so I can come and use your pc and perhaps see if your email, PayPal and online banking are set to "remember me"?
Store apps rely on a Microsoft account which means you must be signed into a Microsoft account. You can attempt to sideload apps and a few will work, alot won't.

Just use an offline account to login. Store will ask for your Live account when you open it, so it will be only used for Store, not Windows login

Didn't knew that. Thanks. Working perfectly well ^^ I thought Win will change from local to Live account.
.
just make your windows to login automatically
