I seem to have one re-occuring issue with 2.2.2 regardless of the 341 or 345 build....
My wifi although connected gets into a no data state. When this happens, I don't get emails which is real bad and all data stops completely. I have to disable wifi and re-enable to get wifi to work. This happens on multiple networks with different hardware.
Haven't had the issues on 2.2 or 2.2.1. I may shortly go back to build 339
Anyone else having this issue?
Sent from my Dell Streak
Yes. I'm having this consistently as well. Although it's odd when I was on 322/341 it didn't happen. It was the upgrade to 345 that seemed to do it for me.
I use to have that issue also, removed set cpu everything went back to normal.

I don't have setcpu installed and still have issue
Sent from my Dell Streak
Hmmm, have not had that issue either. Running 345.
Same here. Moving from StageUI to ADW seems to have resolved this for me. But I can't be sure as it's not even 24 hrs since I made this change.

I am using launcherpro. It appears the wifi works for x amount of time.. but when I pick up the phone an hour later, all data is dead.
Only experience this on the 2.2.2 builds. Before and after framework-res.apk editing.
maybe it is titanium sync?
I don't have titanium sync or set CPU. I also have been playing around with multiple launchers and haven't seen any differences.
I have not experienced this issue with 345 and use WiFi a lot.
What is your WiFi sleep policy? I always set it to never.
Do you have any battery saver or task killer apps running that might effect the WiFi by killing a needed service? Any auto-profile apps running?

From a home screen go to:
Menu->Settings->Wireless & networks->WiFi settings->Menu key again->Advanced->WiFi sleep policy
I have it set to never
I have an app that changes sound profile twice a day for sleeping purposes called timerrific. But that hasn't caused an issue in the past.
I have been connected ok for 2 hours now with titanium sync in a frozen state.
Still waiting to see when it will die again

have you tried a factory reset and re-flash? I had to re-flash mine several times, because of several problems. I changed the installer options to see what worked best.
Happened again last night.
It is really annoying. Not sure if it is annoying enough to jump back to 339... when I do I am sure another build will leak out.

try reflashing your rom. you shouldn't lose any information, just make sure to back it up first. reflashing works a lot of the time.
I had to change my Wifi settings to Never sleep in order to avoid this issue with 1.90. Battery life took a small hit but nothing too bad that I want to change the rom.
Same issue. no extra apps installed en did factory reset. The issue remains. I have to disable and enable the wifi to use it.

did anyone else lose the wifi/tethering when upgrading to 2.2.2. (345)?
I had it and used it, but I checked this morning and the functionality is gone.

You are saying that the setting is completely missing? It was there after the 345 install and now is gone? Or did it disappear with the 345 install?
The portable WiFi is working with my phone on 345
just found another bug...
I don't have any option to clear defaults on any of my apps. Anyone else have this issue? Can you clear program defaults?

Ever since I try'd I RMK's sense 3.0 release and flashing back to CM7 (I wiped EVERYTHING) i boot in to CM7 and find that some of my native android apps are just gone, these include phone, contacts and some others. All of my music apps would just F/C and said they couldn't read the SD card even though my file managers could. my gallery also would not work. It would just just say "there are no items in my collection". The first thing I try'd to do was to go into ROM manager and fix permission. It did its job but all the same apps would force close and the phone still couldn't read the SD card. The only thing i could think to do next was to download and re-install CM7(stable release 7.0.2) through Rom Manager. But the downloads kept failing. But this is another problem. to even download the rom i had to be connected to Wi-Fi and i was in a room i never have signal issues in... EVER. Only to realize that it wasn't the room giving be bad reception, something else is and I don't know what it could be. I have never flashed a different radio, ever. My data shouldn't be throttled because i have unlimited data and i never got a message saying my data was going to be throttled like I hear everyone else getting. I have also recently (last night) discovered my phone must of stopped getting widgets... when i try to add a widget, for the app elixir, it just doesnt show up. yet other apps like setCPU show up just fine. I have never had problems like this with CM7!! Someone please, if you can help with any of these problems, lemme know!
Today i've been using Virtous Fusion and after some testing i did super wipe and flashed CM7 #65. Zero problems.
Have you tried to use super wipe?

I've been searching for the last few days and have yet to really find anything to help me fix my problem.
the story:
Phone was rooted, back in Jan and I was running GummyJar 2.5, no problems, went to Apex V 1.3, no problems, but it ran a little slow. Today I decided to switch to something else to attempt and fix the speed problems, first I tried Incredibly Re Engineered v1.0, the phone ran well, but every 2-3 minutes it was rebooting me and sending me to the clockwork screen. So then I figured it had something to do with the ROM, so I went to Fission 2.5.7. Same problem, the phone runs great when it's on, but the constant restarted is unreal. I've done a factory reset, unrooted then rerooted the phone, then reinstalled the ROM, same problem.
Anyone ever have this issue and have a solution?
Thank you,
Eric
edit: Phone acts fine while plugged in to the computer or wall charger. Also made and attempt with SBF, to no avail.
Try an sbf....then go back to fission.
Just my thoughts. No overclock at first.
Running the SBF restore again...we will see what happens.
Hopefully someone else will stop by with thoughts.
Fission for me is real stable, ran it for long time now.
Worried it may be hardware problem....?
Might want to only install important apps at first also.
Try wiping data from Clockwork several times.
If that doesn't work you should definitely try SBFing and wiping data several times afterward.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
I agree, I also loaded several ROM's and had a growing list of issues, SBF took care of everything for me.
Mine reboots when I pause video playback when connected with hdmi. But only since gingerbread, and I'm on my fourth version of gb. They have all done it so far, hoping official .596 will fix.
DX 2.3.3
Did the SBF'd it. Phone works flawlessly. I am now running Fission and Launcher 7, all without a hitch. Guess the phone just had to much going on and needed a fresh start.
Thank you all for the input. After I get a few more posts, I will post links and a DIY on how to do what I did. It was difficult for me to find anything with all of the steps and links in one spot, I want to make it easier for the next person experiencing this problem.
Yay! ....

For the past 3 days, periodically throughout the day, I get a notice the Google Services Framework is unresposive and must force close. My question is...
1. Is it something important I should be worried about?
2. Is anyone else getting this?
3. Is there a specific app causing this?
3a. If not, I there a known cause?
4. Is there a fix?
Btw, I am using a nonrooted Epic. I did search. And all help is greatly appreciated.

I had this problem after dropping my phone and having the battery pop out while running.
I went into Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / All, then I found Google Services Framework, opened it and clicked "Clear Data", and that seemed to fix it (note, it took 2 days for the Android Market to show anything under "My Apps")
Note, I'm rooted on Bonsai 4.1.3. This "google services framework" FC occurred even after restoring from a prior CWM backup oddly enough which is why I decided to try clearing the data in Applications.
Good luck, hopefully you have a backup in case my idea blows up your house.
I have been getting random vibrate, pause then three more vibrates like something is force closing but nothing shows on screen. I also have had maps force close several times. I am on eg22 rooted.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
I have gotten this force close a few times and wiping everything 3x and restoring a nandroid didn't work for me 9 times out of 10. I ended up having to use Odin to get rid of it. Hopefully just wiping the data works for you otherwise Odin may be the only way to get it fixed. So, try wiping cache and Dalvik 3x first. If that doesn't work, try wiping everything 3x and restoring a backup. If that doesn't work, try re-flashing the ROM and finally the last resort is Odin
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
I am not using any roms, nor is my phone flashed with anything. Its stock EC05. It appears to have rectified itself but I'd still like to know what's happening to prevent it again.
Someone I know had this same exact problem a few days ago. Wiping the data for Google Services Framework fixed it.
This happened to me a few weeks ago. Clearing data is the best fix for some, for me however it just made my launcher loop-crash. If clearing data fails, go into cwm and 'fix permissions'. This got me back on my feet
Sent from my Syndicated Epic using XDA Premium App
Happened to me last night and Odin was my only fix. Tried fixing permissions, clearing data, neither worked for me. Issues still remained after a nandroid restore
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
MY phone tends to overheat when on calls outside at lunch and 20% of the time this is the result when I reboot. And sometimes the fix permissions works and sometimes it doesnt. If it doesn't I was reodin'ing to fix it.. Sucks for when you are not around a computer when this happens.. My fix to a computer free solution was to keep a copy of the ec05 reRFS.zip on my sd card. I can hop over to clockwork and flash this and it will at least take me back to a stock rooted and working phone until I can get back to a computer or whatever....
I have also experienced this annoying issue and my only fix was odining as wel
So rooting my phone is the only fix if clearing the data fails?
Sent from my non-rooted Epic 4G using the free XDA App
No you don't have to root. Just odin the ec05 tar. You will lose all of your data because it basically reinstalls the os it's like starting over. If you do root you can use titanium backup and that will save all of your apps and data.
My epic does this on every custom rom. So I went back to stock no more problems.

Can someone who has flashed this try out the speech to text and see if it works properly?
Navigation or anything. Texting or anything. It some of the GB roms with the EVO framework and issues with speech to text.
Well this isn't the EVO GB Release. It's the actual Incredible release. But yes the speech to text does in fact work.

I know. I'm currently on Joel's shooter rewind 3d and working voice search would be the only thing to tempt me off of it.

First post on XDA here, I registered primarily to give props to Joel and Incubus.
I grabbed the rooted OTA Incubus posted and flashed it with Rom Manager. Took a lot of patience, but it went pretty smooth. Thanks to you both (and everyone else who had a hand in this).
My DInc is just about to go out of warranty, so I'm going to be trying some other ROMs pretty soon. I'm pretty much locked into the root/S-Off status now, and I'm happy with it that way. I think I'll be hanging on to this phone for some time.
So far I like this update, but I've had a few random reboots. One or two while I was re-installing some of my apps or moving them to the SD card, and at least one while it was just sitting there on the charger.
For the moment, I'm going on the assumption that this is just some early stuff working itself out. When flashing the ROM, I cleared the Dalvik cache, but didn't do a data wipe. Anyone have any idea if this is a problem?
Again, thanks a million guys!

Well first off, welcome! And yes. You should ALWAYS wipe data, cache, and dalvik at the minimum. It ensures that you have a better experience without lag, freezing, FC's, etc.. You have to do the setup every time, but it's worht it and you get used to it. And most devs don't recommend using Rom manager since it's known to have some issues, you're best bet is to go install through your CWM recovery.

Wow, seriously, ALL data? That means having to set up multiple mail accounts (GMail, private, work) and re-installing all my apps - well, Titanium at least.
Initially, I took over a month to get my phone just the way I liked it, and still wound up tweaking the hell out of the look and feel on a regular basis. Can application data backed up with Titanium be restored to get most of that back? Seems like it would take hours to get it back either way. I never found a thread on this, so I apologize if it is answered somewhere - I'd love to get a link to that thread if it is out there.
Now I think about it, this has been the biggest hurdle to my trying different ROMs. Screw the suits whining about how I use the services and devices I pay for, I just don't have the time to be messing with it that much.
Again, thanks for the info!
Cheers!
What did I do wrong? I DL'd the file in the thread, put it onto my SD card, then turned my phone off.
I rebooted into recovery (power and volume down button), chose update from .zip on SD card. Picked the file and let it update...
Now my phone will boot up and just stay stuck on the "Droid" screen. Any help?
was I supposed to rename the file or anything? Please help, my phone is stuck right now...
Install zip from sdcard not update... And u should of wiped data cache all that junk if u didn't do that

Did you wipe anything? You should do a full wipe (data/system/cache/dalvik/etc.) before flashing a new ROM.
Cant wait for a 2.3.4/3.0 sense Rom.

You can back up app data, but it is strongly recommended that you don't back up system data. And yes it means starting all over, and I too was skeptical to start over when I first started flashing ROMs, but now it takes me about 15-20 minutes to setup everything again. But then again I only reinstall about 45 apps.

Boot into recovery and wipe everything 3x. Next choose install zip, then after that DO NOT CLICK ON update.zip, select choose zip from SD, then find your downloaded file (wherever you put it) and select that.
