Pc synchronization - Blade General

I find this free PC software perfect for synchronization with ZTE Blade: MyPhoneExplorer. You can synchronize and backup all data from phone, even installed apps. It works through USB cable, wifi or BT connection.

In installed apps you mean only the .apks or the settings too?

literally everything, from phone memory and SD card.

qtek 2020 not syncing with pc

hi,
no matter what i try, my device doesnt synch with my desktop pc., it syncs with my laptop and other devices at office, but not my pc at home. my pc is running on win 98se. please suggest
thanks

Do other USB devices work on your PC?
You might want to try a different usb port. sometimes just the usb being a bit loose can cause this.
i have changed my usb port itself, and my pen disk detects. and works,....its just my qtek that doesnt detect. everything seems ok...the status of the USB is ok, yet it doesnt detect.
whats surprising is that in the my computer panel, the "mobile device" icon appears. BUT DOESNT CONNECT!!!!!
Regards
Mani
i had this a few times in the past, but i don't remember how i solved it
Try reinstalling Activesync, i think the latest version is 3.7.1
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/activesync37.mspx
or maybe it's a firewall issue
and i also remember somebody solved issues like that by deleting the patnership but backing up the data my the pocket_pc my documents dir would prob be a good idear before deleting the pathership
i doubt its a firewall issue, since i have had to completely format my hard disc and reinstall from scratch.
i already have active sync 3.7.1 installed...
like i said, have tried everything.....
any sugfestions, anyone??

Uni + ActiveSync 4.2 + BT msi-6967

Hi,
I want to synchronize my Uni over BT. I installed drivers for BT donge msi-6967. I found device and succesfully added it. File exchange works well. I want now set up AS 4.2 to sync with my uni. I tried almost everything but it isn't work.. Thanx
Delete the pair from the PC. Delete it from PPC. Disconnect USB cable. GO to PPC, pair the PC. When you do that, does ActiveSync show up as an available service?

How to Activesync using bluetooth?

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to sync my trinity with a laptop using bluetooth, but it seems imposible 'til now. Has anybody been able to?
It seems there's not pim service on the p3600, also creating a com connection doesn't work...
Any idea or howto???
Thanks in advance.
You'll need to set up your ActiveSync (AS) in your PC to point to the port which your Bluet is using. After that, use your phone to 'discover' your PC and you should have AS service for your Bt in PC.
You mean...
In Bluetooth configuration on the pc I have COM9 assigned to bluetooth Serial Port and COM8 for ActiveSync. So you say I have to set as incoming serial port COM8 in P3600??
Configure the AS to use COM9 (in your case).
Thanks
But still no luck, it seems to be connected but activesync says there's no device in that port, I'm afraid it's a compatibility problem between my laptop bluetooth drivers and P3600 ones.
Anyway thanks for your help, I'll keep on trying...
Probably you can init a sync from PC, but the one I tried is to initialize a sync from my PPC. Once you have AS to use serial of your BT, then while discovering services (or pairing) from you PPC, your PPC should show that there is AS service on the PC. Start your AS on your PPC and sync.
I had a bit of trouble but I've sorted it out now, this is what I did:
1. Uninstall any bundled software and drivers that came with your dongle.
2. Stick the dongle in, and let Windows automatically install the drivers.
3. Make your PC "discoverable" through the bluetooth control panel.
4. Create an incoming port, and take note of the port number
5. In ActiveSync on your PC, go to connection settings and enable a connection through that port.
5. On your phone, go to ActiveSync and select "connect via bluetooth"
6. It will say that you need to establish a partnership or something, press ok, and find your PC, when the services dialogue comes up, select "ActiveSync".
7. Try pressing connect via bluetooth again and it should work!

Same here... Active sync does start and tries to connect when pairing... but it times out and the activesync service is not seen as an option on the ppc.

Hi
What kind of software are you using microsoft widcomm or bluesoleil.

Big Problems :((

I have the following problem with my HTC Touch HD. Since yesterday after i transfered 2 video files and a few pictures, when i connect it through USB, the computer doesn''t detect HTC anymore (nor syncing nor file transfer). Even the Bluetooth syncing does not work. I performed several soft and hard resets, and it seems it;s getting worse after every reset.
I bought the phone 2 weeks ago, after i sold my Apple iPhone 3G 8GB. As we speak, i kind of regret i did that...any advise for me ?
I forgot to mention: when i plug the uSB cable, the device goes recharging.
Have you tried booting your pc ?
Also try unchecking Settings/connections/Usb to Pc/ "enable faster data synchronization"
r
Andrew
What cable do you use? I had similar problems with non original (asus) usb cable.
greetings everybody..
1) i tried what you said several times, no result.
2) i get same results with the original and the other cables..
3) i noticed one thing . . . if i connect the device to a computer that i never conected before the device, it launches active sync....and Active Sync just wont interact with my device.
Did you try reinstalling ActiveSync on your PC?
yes i tried....same result. Do you think a change of ROM would solve that ?
Now, even a syncronisation using bluetooth is almost impossible, since i cant pair the computer and the device. Damn, it's like a virus or something.
stupid thought:

Impossible since i cannot connect using USB. Sorry !
I too had problems with my PC not recognizing the HD. Found out that it was a problem with my firewall and anti-virus. I adjusted anti-virus settings to allow active sync to pass through and have had no problems after that.
HTC also recommends going to Start --> Settings --> Connection tab --> USB to PC and deselect the checkbox for "Enable faster data sync"
For device recharging when plugged in to USB : go to Start --> Settings --> System tab --> Power. here below the battery charge indicator, there is a checkbox. Read the message and check/uncheck as desired.
Hope this helps !!
i thought one potential source for my problem would be the antivirus, but i disabled firewall (eset at work and symantec end point protection at home) and no result what so ever.
I cand figure a way to sync the device even with the bluetooth since i cannot pair the device and the computer.
I am starting to regret i bought HTC...
Try click the Activesync icon on HD Program, there is a "Option" on the menu, click and see if you could delete all the old connect. If yes, re-establish the connection again to see.....good luck
Option menu item is disabled (i performed several hard resets)...(
Another thing i noticed. I unchecked the box (when connected to USB charge), so now when i plug the usb cable, it wont charge. But, if the device is in stand by (black screen), and i plug the usb cable, it wakes the device up. So, in my mind, i think it is something wrong with the OS, it still "feels" the USB cable, but cannot (for an unknown reason) take the necesary action.
For 4 hrs i try to sync the device with the computer using bluetooth, and i cannot manage to do so.
Is there any way to reinstall ActiveSync on my HTC device ?

Tonight i will try to install at home Windows VIsta (at work and at home right now i have XP). I cannot use my phone - no phone number in agenda and it's driving me mad. The phone rings and there are quite a few persons i dont want to talk with.. HEEEEEELP
nobody there to help me ?
If you did a hard reset, and you can connect in drive mode, but can not sync, then I am 99.9% sure that there is nothing wrong with your phone, but that your computer is messed up.
Uninstall all your antiviruses, firewalls, and other bloatware, and see if it works then.
Just a possible solution, but did you try plugging in your phone into other USB slots on your PC? Are you perhaps trying to sync it through an USB extension cord, or maybe USB hub? I had problems with my PC recognizing the THD if I tried syncing that way. Best results were plugging it directly into the back side of the casing.
The reason I'm asking this is that if you have too many USB devices plugged in, it's possible that the USB voltage drops too low and devices won't connect to the computer.
I tried on 5 different computers, all available USB ports.
On a new computer, sometimes on the device screen it shows up Active Sync but that is all, no sync occurs. If i try again on that computer, i get the same result as i get using the computer at home or work.
The device cannot conect as a Disk Drive
Is there a way to reinstall Active Sync on HTC ? My guess is that this software is all gone with the wind (even i performed a hard reset). The big question is what the hell happened ? Could be a ROM fault ? I mention i never tried to change ROM, the only software i installed was S2U2 and Core Player.
If by monday it wont work, then i'll send it into service (i have warranty). But i hate service
all out of ideas...
Any ideas ?
Which items are checked when you go to Settings/connections/Usb to Pc/ on youre phone?
Have you tried to use another memory card (because youre problems started with copying)?

[Q] ActiveSync 4.5 not starting

Hi Gents,
Just bought HTC HD mini (WM 6.5). Tried to connect to my laptop (running WinXP SP3) via ActiveSync 4.5 but nothing happened.
Firewall is opened for ActiveSync and all other possible rechecks which found on other forums were done.
Nothing...
Any ideas?
In Settings-More-Connections-USB to PC disable Fast data sync.
Done.
Nothing changes...
Make a soft reset and deactivate any firewall or/and antivirus from your pc.

Still nothing, but on HTC Task Manager ActiveSync is shown as Mem 932k CPU 0%.
Have you tried all the USB sockets on the PC? Mine will only connect to a Dell PC at work on the sockets at the rear of the PC, not the front mounted ones.
I think it is a power issue, IE not enough power is available from the front sockets. Though I could be wrong...
In ActiveSync you'd enable the USB-port And, when your device is connected into USB, you'd select "ActiveSync Sync with outlook" on your device. To be able to select that option you have to unlock your device. Good luck
Udated ROM to 1.36.479.1 then successfully synchronized at home where I have Win7. After connecting at work with WinXP SP3 via ActiveSync 4.5 all runned well.
But now my HTC HD mini can't find bluetooth headset Sony Ericsson HBH-DS205 which before ROM update work well. Other bluetooth devices are shown but not bluetooth headset Sony Ericsson HBH-DS205.
Clear now... Just was necessary to reset headset.
