Then go to Settings -> Accounts & sync -> Gmail -> and Sync gmail.

I believe you can go to settings, applications, manage, and delete the data under MyFaves. This deleted all my contacts, call log, and favorites. But be sure to delete all the contacts under your google gmail account since it will just resync all the contacts back.
Settings -> applications -> manage applications -> contacts -> “clear data”
And also clear contacts in your gmail via internet PC
Thanks that did the job
A friend just got a Droid 2 and she is having fits trying to get her default Google account to sync calendar & contacts.
Contacts is showing in the Account Sync settings & is selected, but Calendar does not appear at all.
I was going to remove the account & re-do the setup, but it would require a hard reset & she doesn't want me to do that!
I know that Verizon transferred info to her Droid 2 and wonder if its the culprit.
Suggestions?
Matt

Check settings -> battery manager -> Battery mode, and select performance mode. Could be battery manager not allowing data transfer.
Settings -> Applications -> All -> Gmail -> clear data. If the above doesn't work.
This has happened to me and those are the things I did to fix my own problems.
Make sure Gmail is downloaded I was reactivating my phone after updating Fission once and the market wasn't finished downloading and Gmail didn't show up in the sync menu at all like you described. After it was installed I just went back in and selected sync (because it was in there then).
I am currently running Cyannogenmod 7 RC1.
Everything works perfectly and I have great battery. However my gmail won't sync automatically and i have to manually refresh it everytime.
Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a fix for this.
Thank You

Hi,
Having problems with mails after upgrade with Gingerbread 2.3.3 (Singapore) using Kies. Noticed that older hot mails after read keep on dumping into phone inbox. I have kept the settings " Recent messages into 25". This my hotmail issue
The 2nd one exchange issue. After read the mail also whenever new mail comes from the notfication bar I could see the number included with older mails. For example 6 mails consider read and when the new mail comes it says 7 new mail
How to avoid those issues? Can I delete those accounts and reinstall again?
Also advise me how to delete the mail accounts?
John
Settings -> Accounts and Sync -> click on the account (for example... [email protected]) -> at the bottom of the screen it will have a button for "Remove Account"
After, you can also go into Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> at the top click on "All" -> go down to "Email" -> Clear Data
Give that a shot and let me know how it works!

I'm having the same issue and even tried a factory reset.
I tried a Sense 3.0 ROM which uses 2.3.3 and the HTC mail app works perfect for Hotmail exchange sync. It was only after trying a Sense 2.1 ROM that used 2.3.3 that the syncing problems arose.
I was about to suggest getting nitrality to download the SGS II e-mail app, but I noticed you're running a HTC device. Why are you posting here?
Question is in the title...
:-/
//Edit: I found a way, in the GMAIL APP -> Select Settings -> Accounts
