This reminds me of Google Wave. Remember that? Yeah, neither does anyone else.
As much as I love google, I don't see this taking off. Facebook is too embedded into our culture.

I have no problem deleting my facebook account. I just need my family to follow suite.

So was MySpace, but that site is about to shut down if it does not find a buyer. But I do agree that Facebook is more integrated in our life than MySpace ever was

myspace went to the bottom of the poop shoot because it is a piece of crap made for eleventeen year olds with emo kid hair cuts and piercings in their eyebrow and lip or bands that suck and that is the only way they can get their crappy screamo music out to those eleventeen year olds.

I have to say I am optimistic. I think there are a lot of people that would welcome an alternative to facebook.

Ugg, of course invites would be closed down. God, I got the Google Voice invite right away, and that was way better than google wave.....come on google! Open this bad boy up already!

Google+ is awesome. A big group from the Android Community are already there. I'll be more than happy to send out as many invites as i can once is enabled again. PM me your emails, and once they feature is back, i'll send them out

I too would like to have this I was looking for it today then read they closed it if they open it please pm as well it would be much appreciated.

I was able to send out some invites right now if anyone is interested pm your email. You may or may not be able to get in, i cant guarantee that but i just sent locoboi187 one and hes in
Edit: ok I have sent out a few more invites to those who pm'd, let me knw if you were able to get in, if not then we must wait for google to enable the feature again.

Those of you that i just invited and got in, you can keep the invites going by sharing any post. see attachment below (this method may or may not work)
Edit: Theres also a google+ app for ur device. If u were sent an invite try and log in from this app if ur not at a pc.

theres a box u can type in like facebook where it says stream. inside it says "share whats new" post anything and after you will be able to comment on that post or share. like the image above. it may or may not work.

google+ hangout video chat plugin

Has anyone figured out a way to get Google+ video chat to work? I'm trying to join a hangout and use voice chat but it wants to install a plugin. Any help would be appreciated.

Hopefully they will just integrate it in instead of leaving it to die. It's virtually the same back end system driving it, no reason to abandon gTalk.

Ok,we're losing track here.. lets get back to the hangout/plugin troubles.
What I dont get is... how is it that Google is the one who makes Android,yet Android doesnt have any plugin for google video/voice.
G+ is still not public. Its closed & invite only still. So maybe theye'r still doing development on it. ..But wouldnt you as the company who invented Android want video/voice in the system natively from the start? Strange that theye'r not thinking like that.

Hangout video works for me on my wifi xoom.
I can't start a chat, but if I follow an invitation the video chat starts. I wonder why my Bluetooth headset isn't supporter, but this might depend on me...

Just tried it... seems to work pretty good. I don't have a cam on my laptop, so that box was empty, but the video from my xoom seemed rather low quality.
Is there a setting to adjust that? Or does it use other factors to adjust the quality?

[INVITE] Google Music Beta!

Google Music Beta apparently has a feature where you can invite 2 people of your choice by giving them your invite.
So
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
First 2 People to post their email will get an invite from me.
Also, since I can only invite 2 people, others are free to use the e-mails to invite others.
That way everyone will get an invite.

I've been lazy and haven't messed with it since I first got it a month or so ago.. guess i should upload some music and see how well it works.. and maybe share some invites.. hehe

It took forever to upload all my music, and as soon as it completed, I got an invite to Spotify... so I havent used it much.
Google Music is still great for a free way to listen to music on mobile devices. And Spotify doesn't work on my Chromebook, so there is atleast a use for now.

essentially, it's google's answer to facebook. more status/photo/video sharing, and no farmville crap. you can also break your contacts up into 'circles' so that what you post in one circle, isn't seen in another circle, unless you want it to be. along with integrated individual and group chats.
