The problem is the volume control on my xda exec. For no apparent reason the device keeps turning the volume settings off for the phone and the device, and sometimes it will ring on an incoming call (even if the volume is turned on) and sometimes won't. Can anyone give me some advice on what might solve the problem? :?
For some reason everytime I try to raise the volume on my phone it keeps setting it to the lowest volume and I can't hear anything. Windows media wont work and I can't tell if someone is calling me. Did I accidently modify something is settings?
Thanks for the help in advance.

Is your volume key broken? As in permanently pushed in?
Other than that move the slider then see if you can change volume
